Was Sister Olivia Melianne really just a Transcender?
A Transcender of the same class rank didn't have even a sliver of power to resist before her.
For Bruno, such a scene was truly impactful.
Looking at the shield in his hand, Bruno silently put it away.
At this time, Curtis had also finished off his opponent with clean and efficient movements.
He hadn't expected that while he was finishing his opponent, Olivia would have also dealt with Renee.
He had watched Olivia's side of the battle out of the corner of his eye and knew she was the only one who had acted from start to finish.
Even so, Olivia had disposed of her opponent with ease.
"No wonder the church let her command me? Perhaps she possesses strength no less than that of a Domainist. Just now, I seemed to sense the aura of a forbidden artifact."
Curtis thought to himself.
Even with a forbidden artifact, possessing the strength of a Domainist wasn't easy. It required being exceptional oneself, after all, powerful forbidden artifacts weren't something one could use just by saying so.
Curtis didn't pry into Olivia's thoughts, just walked over and asked, "What's the next step? Are we going after that Berserker from the Cross Brotherhood?"
Sean Flint, the Berserker from the Cross Brotherhood, was also a Domainist and quite difficult to deal with. Even Curtis spoke with clear wariness when mentioning him.
Olivia smiled slightly and said, "Don't worry too much. That Berserker is alone, while there are three of us. By overwhelming him with numbers, we can naturally win easily."
Hearing Olivia say this, Curtis's expression became somewhat odd.
In the transcendent world, did overwhelming someone with numbers really work?
Bruno thought even more that it was better not to count him in; he had no confidence in facing a Domainist.
But Olivia was the person in charge of this operation, and she directly commanded, "Next, I will teleport you to another location. Remember not to resist when I teleport you."
Teleportation?
Hearing Olivia's words, Curtis and Bruno looked over with surprise.
This Transcender from the church also mastered teleportation abilities?
"I understand. I'll do my best to cooperate," Curtis could only nod.
Olivia already knew where the next target, Sean the Berserker, was located. He was still in Annus Street, in a silent and deserted area, just coming out of a tavern, looking like just another drunkard.
She had silently activated King's Domain, isolating that section of the street from its surroundings.
Now, she only needed to teleport the others there.
...
Sean was a thin, average-looking middle-aged man.
At the moment, he was drunk, swaying as he walked down the street, looking no different from a common drunk.
But after taking a few steps, Sean instinctively stopped, narrowed his eyes, and looked ahead.
A layer of hazy white mist shrouded the street ahead, preventing him from seeing the situation on the other side. Such an unusual scene caused his drunkenness to fade instantly.
He turned around to look at the way he came and found it was the same, filled with white mist, and even the tavern from before was no longer visible.
Looking behind the buildings on either side, there also seemed to be mist.
The vast white mist had actually formed a natural cage, trapping him inside.
"Interesting. Is someone targeting me?"
Sean's expression gradually grew serious as a broad-bladed greatsword materialized in his hand, his eyes scanning the surroundings warily.
He didn't detect any figures, as if he were the only person left in this area.
Then he looked back at the white mist before him; he felt the composition of this mist gave him a sense of familiarity, as if he had heard of it before.
As a Domainist, his memory wasn't bad, and after a moment of reflection, he finally remembered, and his face changed.
"This looks like the Twilight Council's rule-grade forbidden artifact, King's Domain. What is the meaning of this? Do you people from the Twilight Council want to deal with me?"
By the end, Sean's voice grew louder as he questioned loudly.
The fact that King's Domain had fallen into the church's hands was known only to the church and the Twilight Council.
So when he judged he was trapped by King's Domain, Sean's primary suspect was the Twilight Council.
At this time, Olivia teleported Curtis and Bruno over, arriving inside an empty building beside the street.
Just after arriving, the group heard Sean's shouting on the street outside.
"Twilight Council?" Hearing Sean's shout, Bruno looked confused, wondering why the man thought he was being attacked by the Twilight Council.
Curtis, however, seemed to understand something. He glanced at Olivia in shock and whispered, "Sister Olivia, is the forbidden artifact you're using the King's Domain that originally belonged to the Twilight Council?"
Bruno looked at Olivia in surprise upon hearing this.
Olivia nodded with a smile and said, "Exactly, it is King's Domain. During the last confrontation between the church and the Twilight Council, the church won a great victory, so this forbidden artifact naturally no longer belongs to them."
"I see," Curtis realized.
Regardless, Olivia's ability to safely use a forbidden artifact of the caliber of King's Domain still surprised Curtis greatly.
He didn't know how Olivia did it, and after a moment of thought, he didn't dwell on the matter.
"Do we act now?" Curtis asked.
"Of course, please take the lead," Olivia nodded.
"Leave it to me then."
Curtis took a deep breath and charged out of the building, his figure turning into a series of afterimages as he rapidly approached Sean.
Sean had been on guard; the moment Curtis appeared, he swung the broad-bladed greatsword in his hand heavily toward Curtis.
The massive weapon tore through the air with a low whistle, possessing immense power.
"Boom!"
The broad-bladed greatsword didn't hit Curtis but slammed into the street's surface with a roar, instantly shattering the ground. Cracks spread like a spiderweb, rapidly expanding outward.
