Novels Haven (“we,” “our,” or “us”) respects the intellectual property rights of authors, publishers, and copyright holders. We expect our users to do the same. This Digital Millennium Copyright Act (“DMCA”) Policy describes how we handle copyright infringement claims in compliance with the United States Digital Millennium Copyright Act, 17 U.S.C. § 512.

1. Reporting Copyright Infringement

We respect intellectual property rights and will respond to notices of alleged infringement that comply with applicable law (including 17 U.S.C. §512 where applicable). To report infringement, send a DMCA notice to our designated Agent at contact@novelshaven.com with: (i) identification of the copyrighted work; (ii) the allegedly infringing material and its location on the Service; (iii) your contact information; (iv) a statement of good-faith belief; (v) a statement under penalty of perjury that the notice is accurate and you are authorized to act; and (vi) a physical or electronic signature. We may remove content and, for repeat infringement, terminate accounts.

2. Counter-Notification

If your content was removed due to a DMCA Notice and you believe it was a mistake or misidentification, you may file a Counter-Notification. A valid Counter-Notification must include: (i) Your name, address, phone number, and email; (ii) Identification of the material removed or disabled, including the location (URL) where it appeared before removal; (iii) A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification; (iv) A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address (or, if outside the U.S., for the judicial district where our service provider is located), and that you will accept service of process from the original complaining party; (v) Your physical or electronic signature.

Upon receipt of a valid Counter-Notification, we may restore the material within 10–14 business days unless the original complainant files a legal action to restrain restoration.

3. Repeat Infringer Policy

We may, at our sole discretion, terminate accounts of users who are found to be repeat infringers of others’ copyrights.

Nothing in this DMCA Policy constitutes legal advice. If you are unsure of your rights or obligations under the DMCA, you should consult with an attorney.

5. Modifications

We may update or revise this DMCA Policy from time to time. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting to this page.
