The Temple of Atlantis.
Just as the God of Light wished, Ning Busan now began to study the rules of creation.
Although the God of Light had restored the black hole to its original state, Ning Busan still had to construct its rules to reconnect the black hole with the power of the godhead.
For a deity of the Sea God's level, constructing rules was not a difficult task.
Countless complex runes and chains of rules surfaced in Ning Busan's mind. He raised his finger slightly, a faint light glowing at his fingertip as he traced something in the air.
After all, constructing rules was also a form of creation, wasn't it?
Rules themselves were invisible creations.
Ning Busan's fingers began to move rapidly. Following his movements, golden runes gradually appeared in the air, weaving together to form a massive network of rules.
This network slowly extended toward the black hole, wrapping around it.
Ning Busan's fingers suddenly stopped. He pressed his palm against the center of the network, and the power of the godhead poured from his body, infusing into the web.
The power of the godhead gradually fused with the black hole, establishing a new balance.
And the sole purpose of the black hole's existence was to eliminate the xenos that appeared in the deep sea.
Ning Busan murmured, “The power of the Sea God's godhead ultimately originates from the source of the deep sea. If I wanted to create a similar black hole in the Dawn Empire, it would most likely fail.”
Suddenly, Ning Busan sniffed the air. He caught a rich, mouthwatering aroma.
Following the scent, Ning Busan saw a pot of turtle soup sitting on the table in the hall. The amber broth was crystal clear, shimmering with a golden glint, and the surface was garnished with bright red coral. It was truly a masterpiece of color, aroma, and taste.
Beelzebub pulled out a chair for Ning Busan, a proud smile playing on his lips. “Please, have a taste!”
Ning Busan reasonably suspected that Satan had appointed Beelzebub as the Demon King of Gluttony solely to have this chef cook delicious meals for him every single day.
The moment it entered his mouth, the savory, tender meat blossomed on his tongue. A warm current spread down his throat and throughout his body, leaving him thoroughly intoxicated and unable to stop.
With his mouth full, Ning Busan silently gave a thumbs-up.
Beelzebub teased, “I was worried that after becoming the Sea God, you would become too transcendent to care for earthly delicacies.”
Ning Busan said, “Even a god would be moved by your culinary skills.”
A touch of fanaticism flashed in Beelzebub's eyes. “Every dish carries the creator's hard work and the diner's emotions; it is a resonance of their souls. I pursue not just the pleasure of the taste buds, but the essence of all delicacies in this world. I have been to the human world, the Elven Valley, the Dragon Valley, the Undead Realm, and have spent a thousand years in the deep sea, tasting the delicacies of every corner of this world. Except for one place.”
Ning Busan knew exactly where he hadn't been. He deliberately made a prayer gesture and said with a smile, “May the Holy Light purify your soul.”
Beelzebub shuddered.
The Holy Light wouldn't purify his soul; it would scatter his soul into oblivion.
Haven was a place he could never set foot in his entire life, yet it held countless delicacies he had never tasted.
Seven Heavens cloud cakes, rainbow nectar honey, holy fire roasted squab, the golden apples of the Garden of Eden, and even the legendary divine nectar. Just thinking about them filled the demon lord with longing!
Beelzebub asked softly, “My King, when do you plan to return to Hell, take the reins of power, lead the demons to attack Heaven, and unite the Landia Continent?”
Ning Busan suddenly felt the food in his mouth lose all its flavor. Was he serious?
Just how strong was the God of Light? And how strong was he? Right now, he should be laying low and developing his strength, not throwing his life away.
Just then, a pitch-black feather drifted out of Ning Busan's pocket and floated in front of him, writing out a line of words:
“Raise your own pet yourself! If you don't return to Hell soon, I'm throwing that mermaid into the abyss! Do you have any idea how bizarre she is, yet you threw her to me?”
This was Lucifer's reply.
Ning Busan rubbed his nose. It seemed that Lilian was still performing consistently even after arriving in Hell.
Beelzebub clicked his tongue. “Once you go back, you really should keep Lucifer in check.”
Ning Busan asked, “What's wrong with him?”
Beelzebub grumbled, “Lucifer has the most wings in all of Hell, and he treasures his feathers like they're his life. Especially during his molting season, his temper gets a hundred times worse. When other winged demons molt, they don't overreact like he does. Now, whenever I see Lucifer's feathers, I remember the painful days of being dominated by him. I just don't get it. It's not like his feathers won't grow back. Why does he act like a total psychopath every time he molts?”
Ning Busan couldn't help but burst into laughter.
Shocking! Was it a distortion of demonic nature, or a moral decay? The sudden and drastic personality shift of the Twelve-Winged Archdemon was actually due to a molting crisis!
Ning Busan cleared his throat. “Beelzebub, it's time for us to return to Hell.”
“Ah?” Beelzebub was torn. “But my Seafood Cookbook Encyclopedia is still missing a few pages.”
Ning Busan would absolutely not leave Beelzebub behind! The chef had to stay by his side!
Ning Busan said, “The entire deep sea is mine now. Helping you complete a few pages of your cookbook is no trouble at all.”
Beelzebub asked, “Are jiaoren okay too?”
Ning Busan glared at him. “What did you just say?”
Beelzebub swallowed his words back down. “You misheard me. I didn't say anything at all.”
Ning Busan had no intention of staying in the deep sea to play Sea God.
He raised his hand, and a godhead shimmering with a deep blue light appeared in his palm.
The power of the godhead slowly diffused, turning into countless fine chains of rules that merged into every inch of the deep sea's waters.
These chains of rules ran through the entire deep sea, connecting every stretch of water, every structure, and every living creature.
Protecting the deep sea was Siren's wish and mission, but Ning Busan didn't have much affection for it.
At most, he would use the power of the godhead to construct a massive system of rules to maintain the stability of the deep sea.
This way, even if he wasn't around, the deep sea could run on its own using this set of rules, automatically adjusting in the face of natural disasters or human conflicts. If anything were to happen to the deep sea, he would also be able to sense it immediately.
In addition, Ning Busan gathered the deep-sea jiaoren. Using his godhead, he bestowed powerful strength upon them and proclaimed a divine oracle: “From this day forth, you shall be the guardians of the deep sea.”
The jiaoren wept tears of joy. “Sea God, thank you for your generous gift.”
Ning Busan said, “In my absence, you must work together to maintain order in the deep sea and guard the peace of this domain.”
Placing their right fists over their left breasts, the jiaoren responded solemnly, “We obey your divine oracle.”
Ning Busan waved his hand. “Dismissed.”
There were many species of sea monsters, and the food chain among them was highly complex, so the deep sea had very few rules and a high degree of freedom.
Ning Busan's purpose in granting these jiaoren power was not for them to govern the order of the deep sea, but to obtain more power of faith.
These jiaoren were his loyal believers. They would surely spare no effort to spread the faith of the Sea God throughout the deep sea.
Ning Busan could leave, but his followers could not disperse.
