The distances between the demon armies were quite large, and they were converging into several major groups.

Running up for a head-on collision was definitely not the way to go.

So, Xia Jin considered a plan: over the course of a week, she would plant nydus worms and send troops to besiege them individually, wiping out the Tyrants while they were still trying to merge.

She moved quickly.

Near the closest cities, the nydus worms were already in position.

An army of two million struck directly, concentrating all fifty thousand ravagers to rain destruction upon the enemy.

As a result, before the demons could even engage in melee combat, the majority of the 170,000-strong legion was annihilated.

The remnants were easily mopped up.

That same day, after seven consecutive battles, nearly a million demons died while on the march.

Glaive wurms were fired from the sky, and countless missiles rained into the demon legion, each blast hitting a wide area.

On the ground, innumerable earth spikes swept back and forth through the demon officers, each sweep clearing a path several kilometers long.

Nydus worms would burst from the soil for a quick ambush.

Whenever the demons attempted to launch a charge to take out the distant attackers, the nearby lurkers would fight and retreat, using a few ultralisks to block the targets.

The most lethal were the ravagers. These fellows hid ten or twenty kilometers away; the demons couldn't even see them, only the missiles descending from the heavens.

This battle was incredibly stifling for the demons.

An army of millions, all of them powerhouses among demons—most reached Tier 10, with Tier 9s being pitifully rare.

Yet such a powerful army was harassed day and night by the Zerg's kite tactics. Massive amounts of firepower were projected at them every day. Eventually, Xia Jin simply sent out 200,000 hydralisks to circle the group and pelt them relentlessly.

When the demons tried to give chase, the Zerg immediately retreated.

When the demons stopped, the Zerg turned back and opened fire.

Hydralisks themselves were relatively slow compared to zerglings, so the Swarm had zerglings carry the hydralisks—which weighed several times more than themselves—while running. It was exhausting work, but the tactic was successfully executed.
