Chapter 333 · Volume 1

The Demon God's Reaction

Five days later, in the far rear of the Abyss, at the Demon God's palace.
“One-fifth of the Abyss is lost?”
The Demon God, the actual ruler of the Abyss, opened his eyes. He hadn't expected that after not sensing the state of the demon world for only half a month, he would receive such news.
He immediately stood up and went beneath the palace to a circular ancient relic chamber over a thousand meters high and several kilometers in diameter.
In the center of the floor, atop a grand stone platform, lay a magnificent black ring.
When he funneled Abyss power into it, the ring vibrated violently, and a 3D map-like image materialized within it.
Most of the map was black, but the southernmost region was now replaced by an eerie red.
“Damn it.”
The Demon God realized that for the observation ring to show such a change, it meant the invaders were not native creatures of the Abyss.
And if he remembered correctly, the southern area covered in red was exactly where the portal had been established years ago.
“Which plane is it?”
The demon world's coordinates directly connected to seven material planes, all of which were quite weak. To date, three had been conquered, one was still at war, and they lacked the energy to deal with the remaining ones for the time being.
In fact, for every deployment, the restrictions of world rules meant that traveling to places lacking Abyss power consumed a staggering amount of energy. Consequently, every time the demon army set out, the total scale of the force sent would not exceed 500,000, with the rest being supplemented by low-tier native animals of the demon world.
With such small numbers for a war against an entire world, the difficulty of the offensive was naturally great. But even so, the demons usually maintained an absolute advantage.
“Why would a common plane have this kind of capability?”
The image began to zoom in, entering the red region.
Soon, on the endless black plains, the Demon God saw a small squad of bugs walking slowly.
In truth, this was the Zerg's occupied territory.
Because it was far from the front lines, the Swarm's numbers here were scattered. Most were patrolling the surrounding area as if they were taking a leisurely stroll.
A patrol squad consisted of only five zerglings.
The reason they used zerglings was that their running speed was incredibly fast; if they encountered any swift wild beasts, they could quickly give chase.
If a target was valuable, the zerglings would surround it, capture it, and bring it back for farming.
Those with no breeding value might be dealt with on the spot.
Seeing these bugs unconditionally slaughtering every creature they saw along the way made the Demon God feel inexplicably annoyed.
“Where did these strange creatures come from, hunting in my Abyss?”
Without a doubt, they were all invaders.
The Demon God immediately left the underground hall and summoned a group of his direct subordinates.
Each was Tier 13, all possessing the strength of Tyrants.
At a glance, there were hundreds of them.
“Demons, the Abyss has been invaded by foreign creatures. Why did you not report this to me?”
As soon as the question was asked, the demons below exchanged looks of confusion.
“What? The Abyss is being invaded? By whom?”
“Damn it, a creature actually dares to invade our Abyss?”
“I was busy having fun with my succubus and didn't know about this. Lord Demon God, please tell us who it is!”
The Demon God: “...”
As expected, these fellows had absolutely no idea.
So much time had passed, yet if they had just taken a moment to look, they would have known what was happening.
They were beyond help!
A foreign invasion was completely different from the demons' own civil wars.
From the Demon God's perspective, this was shaking his rule over the Abyss.
The most terrifying thing would be if the canyon where demons were born was captured by the enemy.
Demons were different from ordinary creatures; their birth was only possible through the condensation of Abyss power.
The powerful Abyss constantly drew energy from beyond space and time, a portion of which gathered in the canyon to become what were known as demon eggs.
After a period of incubation, demons would hatch from the eggs.
They fought each other from a young age, continuously evolving until they finally became powerful demons.
And now, the territory controlled by the Zerg was not far from that canyon.
“If you keep delaying like this, the Abyss Canyon will fall into the enemy's hands.”
“Damn it.” Hearing this, the Tyrants were suddenly both shocked and enraged.
“I'll go contact the demons near the canyon and see what those bastards are doing.”
“I'm going too.”
Seeing these agitated fellows, the Demon God spoke. “Take all your armies and go wipe out those monsters. An existence capable of seizing a fifth of the Abyss must possess power that can shake us. They must be trampled.”
