As she spoke, Jonavili's pupils transformed into crystal-blue dragon eyes; although she was small, her aura was overwhelming.
Galina couldn't help but swallow hard, her heart pounding wildly; she couldn't be blamed for feeling afraid, as the pressure Jonavili exerted was simply too great.
Combined with the fear stemming from the depths of her bloodline, the fact that Galina hadn't collapsed from terror was already a testament to her firm will.
Jonavili sized Galina up a few times and found that the woman was quite attractive; although she was slightly inferior to Medusa, she was still a rare beauty.
"Since you've put it that way, I would feel bad refusing. Come along."
With that, Jonavili led Galina away, while the remaining demi-humans were all taken back to White Crystal City by Xiao Shunzi.
...
After returning to White Crystal City, Xiao Shunzi handed the demi-humans over to Fanni for processing.
Meanwhile, Jonavili led Liya and Galina to her room within the city.
This place had been specially built for them by Fanni after Jonavili woke up, but it was only a temporary residence, as Jonavili's true palace was still under construction.
Upon arriving at the room, Furiel ordered Medusa to take Galina away.
Looking at the nervous little fox-girl, Jonavili found it quite amusing.
Was she really that scary right now? She clearly looked quite cute at the moment.
On the surface, however, Jonavili picked Liya up like a little chick and carried her to the bedside.
"You just need to sit here, understand?"
"Um... yes."
Liya didn't dare move, fearing this big evil dragon would eat her in one bite.
Since she was small, she had heard many stories from her mother about evil dragons eating children.
Thus, she sat honestly by the pillow, her fluffy fox tail still bristling behind her.
Jonavili never wore shoes and was always in a floating state, so she sat down on the bed with ease.
She reached out her small hand, placed Liya's bristling snow-white tail on the headboard to serve as a pillow, and lay directly onto it.
Jonavili's movement caused Liya's body to stiffen; although she trembled incessantly, she remained sitting obediently, not daring to move, though in a corner Jonavili couldn't see, Liya's face had already turned beet red.
"Do not move your tail around."
"Y-Yes!"
Liya's performance satisfied Jonavili, who slowly closed her eyes as her breathing gradually slowed.
Liya was completely unaware that Jonavili had fallen asleep instantly, and she devoted herself entirely to her role as a pillow.
Half an hour later.
Liya had begun to adapt, the flush on her face slowly fading as her fear and dread were gradually replaced by a rising curiosity.
Ultimately, she was still just a child; being lively and curious was her nature.
She couldn't help but fidget with her fingers, scratch her white ears, and even tried nodding off.
Unfortunately, there was still an evil dragon lying on her tail, which kept her constantly on edge.
She couldn't resist quietly turning her head; after seeing Jonavili's peaceful sleeping face, she hurriedly turned back, as if terrified of being suddenly discovered.
After a while, noticing that Jonavili hadn't moved, Liya quietly turned her head to look at her again.
It had to be said that the quietly sleeping Jonavili was quite captivating, especially to a race like Liya's that naturally had an affinity for beautiful things.
Watching Jonavili sleeping comfortably on her tail, Liya's eyes were involuntarily drawn to the slight upward curve of Jonavili's lips.
Jonavili's appearance prompted Liya to mumble in a low voice.
"Is using a tail... using a tail as a pillow... really that comfortable? I usually use mine... as a body pillow."
After mumbling, Liya tried to twitch her tail; as soon as she moved, it was grabbed by a soft little hand, causing her whole body to shudder and sit perfectly straight.
"Lord... Lord White Dragon, I... I didn't do it on purpose, I'm just... just too tired!"
Liya closed her eyes nervously, her small face tensed, fearing Jonavili would blame her.
But the expected pressure and reprimand did not come; this made her unable to resist peeking back, and after finding that Jonavili was still fast asleep, she breathed a heavy sigh of relief.
But then, looking at Jonavili's peaceful sleeping form, a look of reproach entered Liya's eyes, and a buzzing murmur escaped her.
"But... Mama said that the tails of us demi-humans... can only be touched by the person we spend our lives with, but..."
Before she could finish, a scene that left her dumbfounded appeared: Jonavili had, at some point, turned her head and opened her mouth, though her eyes remained closed.
"Lord... Lord White Dragon, what are you...?"
Jonavili bit down on Liya's tail; Liya closed her eyes in fear and nearly jumped up, but she forcibly suppressed the impulse.
However, Jonavili was in an unconscious state and only nibbled lightly, causing a faint, flickering sensation of pain.
Before long, even that slight pain vanished.
The little fox-girl nervously opened one eye and found that Jonavili was still sound asleep, which made her a bit bolder.
Her other crystal-clear eye also slowly opened; looking at Jonavili with her small mouth slightly agape and her breathing steady, she actually felt that this big evil dragon seemed... not so scary?
The next day arrived quickly; Liya had sat by the bed like that for a whole day and night.
Soon, the sound of a door being pushed open lightly was heard; Liya, in a half-dreaming state, was startled by the faint noise and opened her eyes blearily.
Upon looking, she saw another fox-eared girl with a more mature appearance; the person who came was none other than her sister, Galina.
Liya's sleepiness vanished instantly, a look of joy appearing on her face, and she instinctively wanted to run over and hug her sister.
But Galina suddenly made a gesture for her not to move, then placed her index finger in front of her mouth to signal for silence.
"Shh..."
Carrying breakfast, she tiptoed over to Liya and soothed her in a whisper as soft as a mosquito's buzz.
"Little sister, eat something first to fill your stomach."
"Mhm!"
Liya nodded heavily; having not eaten for over a dozen hours, she was already famished.
Liya took out a piece of bread and began to wolf it down.
The moment it entered her mouth, her eyes widened, and she looked at Galina in surprise.
From childhood until now, she had always eaten berries and wild fruit; occasionally, when the adults in the tribe caught prey, she could barely manage to get a taste of roasted meat.
Eating food like bread for the first time made her feel as if she had discovered a new world, her taste buds blooming.
But she still forcibly suppressed her desire to continue eating; ignoring the protests from her stomach, she held the bread out in front of Galina and smiled gently.
"Sister, this is so delicious. You should have some too."
Seeing the bread Liya held out, Galina was stunned for a moment, then gave a helpless smile; her little sister was as gentle as ever.
