Chapter 444 · Volume 1

A World Inside a Room

Yue Shi’s gaze was always filled with malice.
The boy sighed, his amber eyes reassessing the uninvited guest before him.
“It seems the Deep Blue Route has no grievance with you, sir. Why have you pursued me all the way here?”
Yue Shi cradled the snow leopard, tilting his head as he gave the question serious thought.
“No grievance?”
“No, no, no. It’s certainly not that.”
His tone was playful as his gaze settled on the thin threads drifting around the boy.
“The Deep Blue Route once sold a certain raw material. It was transported to the Central Continent and processed into a filler for certain mechanical prosthetics.”
“I have a friend who, after using those prosthetics, contracted a very embarrassing illness. He became hopelessly addicted to lust, unable to quit.”
The boy’s brow twitched slightly. He glanced at Yue Shi’s waist with a mocking look. “This friend you’re talking about... it wouldn't happen to be yourself, would it?”
“No. It really is a friend of mine,” Yue Shi insisted.
The boy raised an eyebrow but didn't press further, clearly having reached his own conclusion.
Yue Shi didn't give him the chance to ask more.
“Bringing that filler into the Central Continent... you had ill intentions, didn't you?”
“What were you planning to do with it? And how do you cure the addiction it causes?”
The boy spoke with a touch of exasperation. “Lust is a normal human physiological phenomenon, not an addiction. Wanting to suppress that desire is the real sickness.”
Yue Shi waved a hand. “No, no, no. I can tell the difference between a normal desire and an addiction.”
The boy fell silent for a few seconds, deliberately avoiding the question to change the subject. “Do you know what the Bewitching Beauty Painting Workshop really is?”
Yue Shi replied casually, “An entertainment venue? A maritime den of indulgence?”
“There's nothing wrong with thinking that,” the boy said with a smile.
“The rooms of the Bewitching Beauty Painting Workshop that connect to the outside world were indeed occupied and converted into an entertainment city. That’s the only part people from the Deep Red Continent usually encounter.”
“But that doesn't represent the entirety of the workshop.”
Yue Shi looked puzzled. “So, what is the real Bewitching Beauty Painting Workshop?”
The boy raised his hand, pointing toward the bright, spring-like landscape around them. “Look at this ‘room’ I live in. What do you see?”
Yue Shi froze, a rare note of uncertainty in his voice. “Wait... you call this a ‘room’?”
The boy nodded.
Yue Shi was astonished. “This place is practically an independent world, and you treat it as a ‘room’?”
“Exactly,” the boy said calmly. “This is the ‘room’ where I reside within the Bewitching Beauty Painting Workshop. A world.”
Yue Shi’s eyes widened. He pulled his gaze back from the distant mountains and looked at the boy, then away toward the sky. Suddenly, a thought began to take shape in his mind, growing clearer by the second.
“Don't tell me every room on the workshop...”
The boy smiled. “It's exactly as you think. Every room on the workshop is a world.”
“Worlds come in all sizes. Some have rules similar to the Deep Red Continent, while others are completely different.”
“In some worlds, humanity is still in the Stone Age; in others, they’ve already developed interstellar civilizations.”
“You might even meet a version of yourself from a parallel world, or encounter worlds ruled by non-human intelligent beings.”
Yue Shi was left speechless by the revelation.
The wind blew through the flower fields, carrying waves of fragrance. The snow leopard shifted in his arms, finding a more comfortable position, completely indifferent to the conversation.
“How many rooms are there on the workshop?” he asked.
The boy shook his head. “The space inside the workshop seems to be infinite. No one can count exactly how many rooms there are. Tens of millions, hundreds of billions... it could be endless.”
“The outer layers of the workshop are relatively orderly. The further in you go, the more chaotic it becomes, making it incredibly easy to get lost. Once you lose your way, even a True God can't find their way out.”
Yue Shi remained silent for a while, processing the information.
Then he realized he was being led by the nose by this boy.
He immediately steered the conversation back, his tone becoming less polite. “I almost let you distract me. Back to business.”
“That sponge-like filler your group produces... how do you cure the addiction it causes?”
The boy’s voice was exceptionally calm. “There is no cure. Tell your friend to just endure it. It’s not exactly a major problem anyway.”
“When he can't hold it in, he can use his hand or find a partner. A healthy person isn't going to die from being pent up.”
Hearing this, Yue Shi’s expression gradually turned fierce.
Sensing the overwhelming malice, the boy immediately changed his tune. “Don't be so hasty, let me finish.”
“That sponge material comes from a strange world inside the workshop. That world seems to have been formed from some adult film; everyone there is born for the sake of lust. That is the rule of that world.”
“The air in that lewd world is filled with aphrodisiacs. The sponge material is the metabolic byproduct of a certain fungus that permeates that world.”
“The stuff isn't actually harmful; it just acts like a little stimulant pill.”
Yue Shi’s eyes narrowed slightly. “You're lying! Other parts might be true, but I don't believe this stuff is harmless.”
The boy admitted it casually. “Fine, there's a tiny bit of harm. Just a little.”
“After a normal person comes into contact with the sponge material, their constitution gradually approaches that of the people from that world. Their thought patterns are also affected until their minds are filled with nothing but mental smut.”
“I established a trade with that world to get the sponge material out. I didn't just send it to the Central Continent; I’ve spread it across the entire world.”
He spoke calmly, as if describing a perfectly normal, minor event.
Yue Shi immediately sensed the deep malice behind it. “You want to poison the entire Deep Red Continent?”
The boy flatly denied it. “Don't talk nonsense. I’m clearly contributing to the birth rate of the Deep Red Continent.”
“Furthermore, I’ve indirectly boosted the sales of contraceptives and sex toys, creating countless jobs and expanding the relevant consumer market.”
“Everything I do is for the good of this world. It’s just that I’ve always been low-key and prefer being an unsung hero. Otherwise, the world would be writing books to praise me and ensure my name goes down in history.”
“Whether your name goes down in history or stinks for ten thousand years is something I can judge for myself.” Yue Shi took a step forward, closing the distance between him and the boy.
“I’m truly curious about your identity now. Who exactly are you? How do you know so much about the Bewitching Beauty Painting Workshop?”
The corners of the boy’s mouth curved upward. His eyes held three parts pride, three parts mockery, and four parts of something indefinable.
“Aren't you supposed to be smart? Why don't you guess?”
Yue Shi stared at the boy for two seconds before saying with absolute certainty, “You're a Reincarnator!”
The boy froze on the spot, his expression hardening as if someone had hit the pause button.
The mirth in his eyes hadn't fully vanished before wariness and killing intent surged into his heart.
