Chapter 441 · Volume 1

【White Witch】 Snow White Seems to be Awakening

In other words, the vast majority of the items in these people's hands had been given to them by the two witches.
And yet, it had now become something they claimed was "deserved"?
No... it wasn't just one person; this entire crowd thought that way.
How terrifying. Had these people's values truly become so warped?
Snow White looked at them with a grim expression.
She wondered if it was just her imagination, but the smiles of these acquaintances, who usually seemed so gentle, now appeared hideous and frightening under the moonlight.
However, Snow White hadn't been idle.
While speaking with them, she had been surreptitiously sprinkling life potions on her wounds whenever they weren't looking.
Now, she could only pray that she could stall for a bit more time.
Once her wounds were treated, she would be able to recover at least thirty percent of her combat power.
At that point, whether she chose to fight or flee, she would have a better chance.
However, these transmigrators didn't seem to intend to give Snow White any time—or perhaps they simply didn't want to waste any. Someone directly bypassed the ringleader, waved their hand at the crowd, and shouted.
“What's with all the nonsense? Kill her quickly before anything else goes wrong!”
With that, he charged forward, weapon in hand.
“Park Ho-tong, I personally gave you that greatsword. Now, give it back!”
Knowing these bastards wouldn't let her recover in peace, Snow White steeled herself.
If they wouldn't let her have it easy, then no one would!
As the man charged with his blade, Snow White gripped her rapier and lunged forward.
Compared to a witch, a transmigrator like Park Ho-tong was no match in terms of magic or stats.
Furthermore, Snow White was a physical-enhancement type melee witch, and so...
The moment the words left her mouth, Snow White had already severed both of Park Ho-tong's hands.
Along with them went his narrow-eyed, monkey-like head.
“Kim Woo-ho, I gave you those gloves.”
“Lee Geum-joo, that hat was mine, too.”
“And Oh Ji-min, those boots of yours!”
“Argh!”
“Ugh!”
“My hands! My hands are gone!”
“My legs! I've lost my legs!”
Snow White didn't choose to kill them instantly. Instead, she methodically severed their limbs as if in torture, leaving them to crawl on the ground and howl in agony.
Though it seemed cruel and perhaps a bit irrational, the screams of those who had betrayed her gave her an unprecedented sense of satisfaction.
“Who has a life potion! Give me one, quick!”
“They're gone! I only had one!”
The transmigrators knew that as long as they didn't die on the spot, something as simple as reattaching a severed limb was well within the capabilities of a life potion.
Unfortunately, such items were always in high demand.
They were the kind of thing that money couldn't always buy.
At most, these small-time thugs might carry one or two bottles.
Some had already used theirs during the initial ambush against Snow White, and now that they actually needed them, they realized they were empty-handed.
And furthermore...
“Hahaha! It's useless! Those are all inferior apprentice-grade life potions made by Cinderella. Even if you stick your limbs back on, they won't fully recover without proper treatment!”
Seeing these fools actually trying to use the potions to save themselves, Snow White couldn't help but laugh mockingly.
It was true.
Almost all the life potions these people carried had come from Cinderella.
After all, they had run dungeons together. As long as they were thick-skinned enough, they could get a bottle or two from Cinderella for free to save their lives.
Otherwise, with their limited connections, it would have been impossible for them to get stock from the Supreme Council, the largest medicine supplier at the moment.
Those who heard Snow White's words looked at her in despair.
They thought they could save their lives, only to be told the product was inferior?
Wasn't this just a death sentence?!
“Dammit! Who has a life potion? Give it to me! I feel like I'm bleeding out!”
“Give it to me! I'll pay one gold coin!”
“Give it to me, I'll pay two gold coins!”
“Get lost! Just die already! Don't try to steal my potion!”
Hehehehe...
Seeing their ugly behavior, Snow White felt as sweet as if she had eaten honey.
She laughed so hard that tears even began to form in the corners of her eyes.
Putch!
In that moment of distraction, Snow White was slashed across the back.
Fortunately, her reflexes were sharp. She moved immediately upon impact, putting distance between herself and the person behind her.
Otherwise, she might have taken a second or third blow...
Even so, that single strike took a third of her health and inflicted a bleeding effect...
“Tch.”
Snow White reached back to wipe the wound and looked at her attacker under the moonlight.
It was the ringleader who had been speaking to her earlier.
“Didn't I tell you, Snow White? You can't escape.”
Shouldering his scythe, the ringleader looked at Snow White with a playful gaze. Her posture was now slightly hunched from the new injury.
This guy is faster than me. Even if I use my magic eye to enhance my legs, I can't gain much of an advantage.
And I still don't know what his talent is.
Unsurprisingly, this bastard has been holding back since the very beginning of our acquaintance. Fighting him head-on will be difficult.
After a quick comparison of their combat strength, Snow White glanced at the ringleader and then stole a look at the nearby lake, weighing the option of diving in to escape.
But would she even be able to hide if she went into the water?
To be honest, even now, Snow White didn't understand why they were being so relentless.
By all rights, such a pursuit should have ended when the sun went down.
But these people hadn't stopped; they kept coming.
They hadn't even slowed down when they encountered monster attacks along the way.
It was... very bizarre.
“Smith, it seems you're prepared for a fight to the death?”
Although she wasn't confident she could kill him, Snow White refused to show weakness and chose to confront him head-on.
Even if she was to die, she wouldn't do it on her knees.
That was her most honest thought at the moment.
“Haha, a fight to the death? Snow White, aren't you overestimating yourself? Oh, right! You are an evolved being, and from the strongest Witch race at that. But so what?”
“You can't beat me. That is an undeniable fact. And...”
As Smith spoke, he pulled a card from his pocket and then retrieved a test tube containing an unknown red liquid from the card.
“I can become an evolved being now, too. I hope you can stay this tough when I'm done.”
With that, Smith uncorked the tube and downed the liquid in one go.
The sequence of movements was so fluid that Snow White didn't even have time to stop him.
