Hearing that Yin Yang was willing to go, the surgeon began to feel conflicted again.
He had just been intimidated by Huang Yuanshan's status.
As a local of Mangliang City, he was well aware of the Huang family's power.
If something went wrong and he failed to save Huang Yuanshan, he’d be lucky if he could even leave Mangliang City in one piece.
But then again...
What if?
What if he actually saved Huang Yuanshan?
If he succeeded, wealth and status would surely follow!
He had worked diligently in the hospital for so many years; all he lacked was an opportunity!
Finally, he made up his mind and decided to treat Huang Yuanshan himself!
Fortune favors the bold. Whether he succeeded or not would depend on this one chance!
But when he looked up, he was shocked to find that the nurse and Yin Yang were already gone. Only Zheng Guang remained, staring at him.
“Doctor, there are still so many patients waiting for you. Don't just stand there dazed,” Zheng Guang said.
“Oh, right, right.”
The surgeon went back to treating the wounded, silently lamenting the fact that he had missed another opportunity.
...
Yin Yang and the nurse walked to the medical van. As they approached, they were stopped by two bodyguards.
It wasn't surprising that they were blocked; Yin Yang was still wearing his pest control company uniform. He didn't look like a doctor at all.
The nurse wanted to introduce Yin Yang, but she realized she didn't even know his name.
Yin Yang didn't waste any words. He pulled the Observer's Proof from his pocket and handed it to the guard.
“I graduated from Central City Medical School and have extensive surgical experience,” he stated.
“The patient has ruptured abdominal organs and is in critical condition. By blocking me, you are pushing him toward death.”
The two bodyguards grew anxious. The van door opened, and a middle-aged man stepped down. He glanced at the token in the guard's hand.
“How much certainty do you have?”
“I haven't even seen the patient yet. How can I give you a percentage?” Yin Yang replied.
“But I can guarantee that with every passing second, his survival rate is dropping.”
The middle-aged man grit his teeth.
“Let him in!”
Yin Yang took back his token and stepped into the medical van.
The interior was relatively spacious and equipped with some basic instruments.
An elderly man lay quietly on a bed, hooked up to a ventilator. The bandages around his abdomen were already soaked crimson with blood.
A nurse stood to the side, looking lost and helpless. Besides her, there was a bodyguard in black who radiated a clear transcendent aura.
Yin Yang glanced at the heart monitor.
“His heart rate is failing. Inject one milligram of atropine immediately.”
“We... we don't have any,” the nurse stammered, clearly terrified.
Yin Yang took off his outer coat and walked to the bedside.
“Give me the report.”
“There is no report.”
“No report? Then why did you say he has ruptured abdominal organs? Did you see the penetrating object?”
“Yes.”
“Was the object removed?”
“N-no.”
Hearing this, Yin Yang reached out to unwrap the bandages. The middle-aged man had followed him back inside and was watching him intently.
“There are too many people in here. Which of you two is the instrument nurse?”
Both nurses shook their heads. Yin Yang frowned at the middle-aged man.
“One of you and the bodyguard need to get out. Leave one nurse behind.”
His words were decisive, leaving no room for negotiation.
The middle-aged man glanced at the bodyguard, then stepped out of the van with one of the nurses.
If you use a man, do not doubt him; if you doubt him, do not use him. They had no other choice right now.
By now, Yin Yang had unwrapped the gauze, revealing a piece of iron about ten centimeters wide embedded in the old man's lower abdomen. It looked like part of a billboard; it was anyone's guess how it had struck him.
Yin Yang frowned. The iron shard had pierced the intestinal area. If the intestines were ruptured, infection would be a major risk.
Furthermore, based on the angle of the shard, it was very close to the kidney.
“You're a transcendent, right?”
Yin Yang turned to look at the bodyguard in black, who nodded silently.
“For the next ten minutes or so, I need absolute stability. I cannot be disturbed by any sound or movement.”
“Can you manage that, even if there's an aftershock?”
The bodyguard’s expression turned solemn, but he nodded.
Strands of spirituality emanated from his body, enveloping the vehicle.
Yin Yang’s perception told him that the man followed the Executioner pathway.
And he was at least a Sequence 6!
Only upon reaching Sequence 6, Thousand-Slayer, did an Executioner gain the ability of Intent Enchantment.
What the man was doing now was enchanting the medical van, essentially turning the vehicle into his weapon!
While this consumed a significant amount of spirituality, it allowed him to maintain total control over the van's stability.
Yin Yang began to cut into the wound and inspect the internal organs.
“Prepare the tools.”
“Oh, right!”
The nurse finally remembered to prepare the equipment. So much had happened today that it had been a massive shock for a young woman in her early twenties; it was already an achievement that she could still follow instructions.
But as she watched, her nervousness faded.
Yin Yang's hands were incredibly steady, and his movements were as fluid as water. It didn't look like he was performing surgery so much as creating a work of art.
Even the transcendent bodyguard could see that this man was an exceptional doctor. If nothing else, his familiarity with human anatomy was astounding.
From the first incision to removing the iron shard and suturing the wound, the process took less than ten minutes.
Yin Yang stripped off his sterile gloves and tossed them into the trash.
“He’s lucky. It only nicked some of his intestines. I’ve sutured and treated them.”
“He cannot eat anything for twenty-four hours. After he passes gas, he can have some liquid food.”
“Your private doctor can handle the rest of the arrangements.”
Yin Yang picked up his coat and headed for the exit. As the door opened, the middle-aged man outside tried to maintain his composure.
“How is he?”
“He’s fine. Just make sure to watch out for infection.”
Hearing this, the middle-aged man let out a long sigh of relief. He extended his right hand.
“I am Huang Wen. Thank you for saving my father. Is there anything I can do for you?”
Yin Yang shook his hand, not being polite at all.
“I was once saved by the Lord of Rebirth and Communion, so I want to build a temple for him here in Mangliang City.”
“The Lord of Rebirth and Communion?”
“Yes. He saved many people during this earthquake.”
“I will consider it. How large of a temple do you want?”
“That depends on how much your father is worth to you.”
Yin Yang turned and walked away.
“Once the temple is built, we are even.”
“By the way, if you need someone to manage it, look for Sister Qu.”
Huang Wen stepped back into the medical van without asking who Sister Qu was.
With the Huang family's influence in Mangliang City, finding a woman named Qu who was connected to the Lord of Rebirth and Communion wouldn't be difficult.
...
Inside the sealed object's perimeter.
The members of the True Knowledge Society had been mostly slaughtered by Su Baadao. Only one Sequence 7 and the black-robed elder remained.
The Sequence 7 was bait left alive by Su Baadao.
As for the elder, he was simply powerful.
And that only served to make Su Baadao more excited.
“Your divinity is quite strong. If I slaughter you, maybe I'll get some good loot!”
