After giving Rose a bath, Olivia took her for another stroll through the streets to provide a little more emotional value.
Places like Paradise offered plenty of emotional value, and Olivia felt it would be unfair if she didn't spend time with Rose after forbidding her from entering.
She feared that over the long term, Rose might become distant. She had to seize the current opportunity while their relationship was good to provide as much emotional value as possible, making Rose even more dependent on her.
After wandering through Annus Street, they moved on to other streets and visited many interesting places.
As for which places were interesting... for Olivia, it was far too easy to find out.
She didn't need to read the newspapers ahead of time or ask her neighbors. She only needed to ask the magic mirror.
The magic mirror could even provide precise rankings for where the best food was located.
And so, throughout the day, Olivia provided Rose with a high-quality experience. Even Rose's usually expressionless face softened significantly by the end of it.
Of course, while one person was happy, another was quite miserable.
If the day's experiences made Rose as gentle as a breeze, then Annie was a volcano that had erupted several times.
Since Annie was such an excellent anger generation machine, Olivia naturally went out of her way to provoke her throughout the day to harvest the anger energy she provided.
Over the course of the day, Annie's murderous intent toward Olivia had flared up countless times. If Rose hadn't been there to restrain her, Olivia wouldn't have survived even with ten lives.
But Olivia didn't care. Every so often, she would consult the magic mirror to ask if Rose could still suppress Annie. Each time, she received a reassuring answer, which was why she dared to engage in such seemingly reckless behavior.
Gradually, night fell.
Before the darkness fully set in, Olivia escorted Rose and Annie back to the hotel.
She had considered whether she should bring Rose to live with her, but the thought of Annie put an end to that idea.
Letting the two of them continue staying at the hotel wasn't bad; the establishment was decent enough.
After seeing them off, she returned to her new home.
Back inside the house, Olivia felt a bit of a subtle mood looking at the still-unfamiliar furnishings.
'A bit of strangeness at first is inevitable. I'll get used to it after living here for a while,' Olivia muttered to herself.
After a long while, she summoned the magic mirror from her body, transforming it into a full-length mirror and placing it beside her.
The mirror's surface reflected a youthful and extremely charming blonde girl.
That was, naturally, herself.
"Is it safe here?"
【Safe.】
Looking at the information appearing on the mirror, Olivia nodded slightly.
She asked again, "Does Annie know I'm harvesting her anger energy?"
【She knows.】
Olivia wasn't surprised by the magic mirror's answer.
As a transcendent of the Evolver class rank, Annie wouldn't be simple even if she was restricted by Rose. She could certainly sense when her own emotions were being absorbed.
"Why doesn't she restrain herself to stop me from absorbing her anger?"
【She does not know how the Master absorbs her emotions. At first, she intended to ignore the Master and tried to control her anger. However, the Master's actions were too much for her to bear. The realization that she cannot control her own anger only makes her more furious.】
Olivia almost burst out laughing.
So it wasn't that the other party was being cooperative—she simply couldn't help it.
But it made sense. As an evolver, Annie was at the forefront of the transcendent levels, yet she was being repeatedly toyed with by someone who had just become a sensate. Such a disparity was naturally intolerable for her.
"Is the Twilight Council aware of Annie's situation?"
【They are not. Following the failure of this plan, the Twilight Council will have its members lay low for a period to avoid trouble from the church. They will not contact Annie for some time.】
Olivia understood.
She thought for a moment and then asked another question: "Who among the Rose Legion currently knows my identity?"
【Fiona Cortez, Luca Fischer, Bryce Randall...】
The magic mirror provided ten names in one go, causing Olivia's expression to shift.
"Where did this information come from? Are all these people currently within your range of control?"
【These are the people Fiona thought of. She wrote a letter to the organization inquiring about them, believing they know the 'undercover' agent's true identity.】
"The letter didn't specify who the undercover agent is, did it?"
【Correct. She only used the term 'undercover'.】
Olivia felt a bit more at ease.
It seemed her previous interactions with Fiona had been successful; the woman was indeed focusing her attention elsewhere.
However... wasn't the number of people who knew her identity a bit too high?
Why would an undercover agent's identity be known to so many people?
This made her feel a faint sense of unease, so she asked, "Where are these people currently? Can you deduce their locations? Except for Fiona, of course."
The magic mirror immediately made deductions based on existing intelligence and began providing Olivia with the possible locations of each person.
Most of them were not in the South District, nor even in Kaliron.
However, one name made Olivia's eyes light up.
Luca Fischer!
This person was in the South District!
And he was within the range of the magic mirror's control!
"Why does Luca know my identity?"
【Fiona told him. They were on good terms back when the Master was still an Initiate.】
Upon hearing this, Olivia's face immediately darkened.
Fiona's mouth was that loose?
Traces of murderous intent flickered in her eyes.
The careless actions of these people could very likely lead the church to discover her secret. Despite the massive contributions she had made, would the church let her go if she were confirmed to be a heretic?
"Magic mirror, if I were to tell the church that even though I'm in the swamp, my heart turns toward the light, and I betrayed the Rose Legion... how would the church treat me?"
【The Master would be taken to the church headquarters for interrogation. It is difficult to predict the final outcome. Current analysis suggests a 60% probability of survival and a 40% probability of death. If you survive, there is an 80% probability of being imprisoned and a 20% probability of remaining free.】
Olivia's expression shifted several times as she read the information on the magic mirror.
As expected, she couldn't let the church know her true circumstances. There were some things she simply couldn't afford to gamble on.
She took a deep breath and said, "Magic mirror, formulate a plan for me to kill Fiona, Luca, and the others. Ensure that the Rose Legion will not suspect me."
