Chapter 325 · Volume 1

Olivia Takes the Stage

“Who else would like to come forward and settle some grievances?” the Goddess of Fate called out after Rose and Sleep had each left the stage.
“I will.”
A woman’s voice rang out, followed by a figure flying into the arena accompanied by a flash of blood-red light.
The newcomer had flown out from behind the Crimson Goddess.
Seeing this, Olivia couldn't help but narrow her eyes.
The person who entered the field was a girl with an exceptionally youthful physique. She had pink twin-tails and pink eyes, and she wore a princess dress that made her look dainty and cute.
Of course, her actual age was likely not as young as she appeared. It was clear that after becoming an Evolver, she had intentionally chosen to maintain a child-like body.
In reality, she was already a Destroyer.
“I am from Crimson Castle. My name is Cordelia Godfrey,” Cordelia introduced herself with a smile.
Then, she announced her target: “I wish to challenge Olivia Melianne, who serves under the Radiant Goddess.”
She had challenged Olivia by name.
This immediately drew everyone's gaze toward Olivia.
Since someone had called her out, Olivia naturally wouldn't back down and stepped forward.
“Crimson Castle? Is my name known even in a world so far away?” Olivia asked unhurriedly as she walked out.
Cordelia offered no explanation, simply stating, “Olivia, it is better to know when to show mercy. You completely wipe out other factions at the drop of a hat; that is quite inappropriate.”
She was, of course, referring to Olivia’s destruction of the Bloody Sickle.
Although the Bloody Sickle and Crimson Castle were located in two different worlds and had no direct connection, Cordelia had been thinking of avenging them ever since she learned of their fate.
After all, the Bloody Sickle, like Crimson Castle, worshipped the Crimson Goddess. Even if it was just to show off in front of the goddess, she had to take action.
Simply put, there was no real hatred; she just wanted to prove her worth.
“It seems you have some opinions about me,” Olivia said with a smile. “If you have opinions, then act on them. Use your attacks to let me experience your grievances. If you can’t do that, then there’s no need for me to pay any attention to your opinions.”
“As you wish.”
Seeing that Olivia had put it that way, Cordelia gave a cold laugh and immediately launched an attack.
Her speed was incredible. She transformed into a cloud of blood-red mist and, in a flash, was right in front of Olivia. Her hand, shaped like a claw, lunged toward Olivia’s heart.
But just as her hand was about to strike, Olivia raised her own.
Cordelia had moved first, and Olivia had moved second, yet Olivia managed to strike first by reacting later.
She didn't use the divine power from her magic pool, relying entirely on her magic power. Nevertheless, she accurately caught Cordelia’s palm in her hand.
In that instant, time seemed to stand still.
This sight caused Cordelia’s pupils to contract.
She knew her sudden burst of speed wouldn't be enough to wound Olivia so easily.
But she hadn't expected Olivia’s response to be so simple.
At this moment, she felt as if her palm were clamped by a pair of pincers, unable to move forward or be pulled back.
Was this Olivia really that strong?
Cordelia was inwardly shocked. She suddenly raised her leg and kicked out at Olivia.
Seeing this, Olivia also slightly raised her leg, using her knee to block Cordelia’s kick.
“Thud!”
When their legs collided, a powerful shockwave immediately erupted, spreading outward in visible white ripples.
Cordelia knew she had to go all out.
She raised her left hand and chopped down on her right wrist, forcefully severing her own arm.
Blood splattered, but her expression didn't change in the slightest.
At the site of the amputation, a new arm grew back in an instant.
As the Protagonist of the Era for Crimson Castle, she naturally had her own opportunities. She had once integrated things that could be called divine objects into herself, granting her an incomparably terrifying regenerative power.
Even if her body were chopped into mincemeat, she could easily recover without consuming much energy.
Of course, those weren't her only advantages.
She had also fused with a powerful forbidden artifact, forcing it to become a part of her body.
It was a blood-red sickle that possessed the sharpest attributes in Crimson Castle. There was nothing that the sickle could not cut through.
At this moment, as Cordelia’s right arm extended, a blood-red sickle also emerged from her wrist, appearing as if it were fused with her arm.
Immediately afterward, Cordelia swung the blood-red sickle, slashing down fiercely at Olivia.
Olivia raised her hand and met it with a palm strike, clashing directly with the sharpest part of the sickle.
“Clang!”
Accompanied by a crisp sound, Olivia felt a slight sensation of pain.
She looked down at her palm and found a shallow scratch in the center.
Although the scratch quickly healed due to her vigorous life force, Olivia was still somewhat surprised.
After all, this hand of hers was integrated with God-Stone and was incredibly hard; yet, she had actually been injured.
“How sharp,” Olivia remarked with genuine admiration.
However, in Cordelia’s eyes, this scene made her feel like she was seeing a ghost.
Was this some kind of joke? Being struck by her sickle and only receiving such a tiny wound?
This was the first time Cordelia had encountered such a situation.
But she didn't back down. Instead, her expression became even more solemn as she swung the sickle in her hand, raining down a frenzy of slashes upon Olivia.
As she wielded the sickle, she also unleashed various curses, which manifested as visible black mist that surged forward, enveloping Olivia.
Facing Olivia, Cordelia didn't dare hold anything back.
Olivia, on the other hand, didn't feel the need to go all out; after all, Cordelia wasn't worth such an effort.
She calmly raised her hands, parrying Cordelia’s attacks one after another while searching for an opening to counterattack.
