“I am here to kill you.”
That simple sentence sent a thick chill through the depths of Felicity’s heart.
A person only dared to hunt another when they were certain of victory.
Even though her opponent was only an Evolver, the fact that she had come at all was proof enough that she was confident. How could Felicity not be alarmed?
Before Felicity could even process the thought, Rose struck first. A shimmering phantom manifested behind her, faint and indistinct.
The moment the phantom appeared, Felicity’s gaze locked onto it, and her brow furrowed instantly.
She realized, to her shock, that she couldn't actually perceive what the phantom behind Rose was.
The figure was clearly right there, right before her eyes, yet she found herself unable to commit its form to memory.
What was happening?
Before Felicity could make sense of the situation, a powerful and terrifying mental suppression crashed down, enveloping her.
In an instant, Felicity felt her mind spin with a wave of dizziness.
Olivia seized the opportunity and struck decisively. Her massive fist swung forward with incredible speed, slamming hard into Felicity’s body.
Boom!
With a thunderous crash, Felicity was sent hurtling backward.
However, as her body flew through the air, it instantly dissolved into a swarm of countless bats that scattered in every direction.
Each of these bats could be Felicity, yet none of them had to be. They fled toward different horizons, clearly attempting to escape the area.
Yet just as the bats appeared, Olivia’s massive fist opened wide. Within her palm, a sphere of fire erupted.
The Primal Tinder!
This damaged destruction-grade forbidden artifact was held in Olivia’s palm, and at this moment, it detonated with overwhelming power.
A blazing conflagration swept across the sky and earth in an instant.
Not a single bat from the swarm managed to escape the Primal Tinder’s assault. They were sucked into the flames, letting out shrill, piercing shrieks as they burned.
One of the bats immediately shifted back into Felicity’s form. She recoiled violently, trying to put distance between herself and the Primal Tinder’s flames.
However, the fire from the Primal Tinder was like a relentless parasite, clinging to her and refusing to be shaken off.
In addition to the artifact's fire, Olivia’s fist came booming toward her again from a distance, while Rose’s mental suppression remained constant.
Faced with this onslaught, Felicity used her vast experience to reach a grim conclusion: she could no longer escape.
Since flight was impossible, her only choice was to fight.
“Do you truly take me for some weakling you can just push around?”
Felicity’s eyes gleamed with a cold, murderous light as she snapped them open.
Surging magic power churned with her seemingly simple movements. In a heartbeat, the vast expanse between heaven and earth plunged into deep gloom.
Her magic pool was boiling!
Then, throughout the darkened world, endless curse energy permeated the air, rapidly taking hold of Olivia and Rose.
Olivia felt a sudden burst of agonizing sensations wash over her.
She felt weak, she felt fatigued, and she felt pain...
But in the very next moment, a powerful surge of life force radiated from Olivia’s body.
The integrated Remnant Branch of the Divine Tree provided her with such immense vitality that it instantly dispersed all the curse energy.
In the blink of an eye, she was restored to her peak condition.
Olivia glanced toward Rose and saw that she, too, was resisting the effects of the curses. It seemed she didn't need any help.
“How is this possible?”
Felicity noticed the shimmering radiance on Olivia, and her eyes widened in disbelief.
What was going on?
She knew better than anyone how powerful her curses were. How could Olivia shrug them off so effortlessly?
What was that overwhelming life force?
She even detected a faint trace of a divine aura.
“Wait... could it be the Remnant Branch of the Divine Tree?”
Felicity quickly made the connection.
Elias had gone to the Varian Empire specifically for that branch. Since he had been defeated by Olivia, it wasn't surprising that the artifact had fallen into her hands.
At that thought, Felicity’s expression turned exceptionally grim.
She knew exactly what level of treasure the Remnant Branch of the Divine Tree was. Since this nun from the Radiant Light Church had integrated it, none of Felicity's curses would likely have any effect.
Yet, Felicity still felt a sense of indignation and confusion.
How could the other woman have integrated the branch in such a short amount of time?
For a treasure of that caliber, anyone who obtained it should have needed months or even years of study before they could even begin a preliminary integration.
But this woman had clearly just gotten her hands on it, yet the integration was already complete.
How was that even logical?
However, now was not the time to worry about logic.
Since curses were ineffective, Felicity had to resort to other means.
A flash of blood-red light pulsed from her body.
Immediately, a thick, pungent scent of blood filled the air.
Then, it began to rain.
No, it wasn't exactly rain.
What fell from the sky were droplets of blood.
The moment they appeared, the countless droplets turned into a torrential downpour.
The entire world was stained crimson in an instant.
Olivia and Rose then noticed the blood-water actively converging toward them, merging and shaping itself into various forms to launch an attack.
For instance, some of the blood condensed into blades and swords, hacking down toward Olivia.
While such attacks were easy to block, Felicity’s techniques were never that simple.
As for Felicity’s true intent, Olivia understood it perfectly.
Felicity wanted Olivia and Rose to be stained with the blood so she could then trigger a massive explosion using the droplets.
Thus, Olivia shouted directly to Rose, “Rose, don't let any of the blood touch you! This stuff will explode!”
“I understand,” Rose replied.
Hearing Olivia’s warning, Felicity’s eyes widened in shock.
How did Olivia know what she was planning?
The attack had only just begun, yet her subsequent moves had already been anticipated?
How was she supposed to fight this?
Even as the leader of the Bloody Sickle and a powerhouse of immense strength, Felicity couldn't help but feel a sense of helplessness in this moment.
