Felicity arrived at Gulf City.
There was, of course, a reason she had chosen this city.
It was a place of little importance, and the transcendent power stationed here was not particularly strong. Yet, it happened to have a decent population, which she found very much to her liking.
A large population meant there was an abundance of fresh blood, and as a vampire, blood was what she loved most.
If she wanted to take revenge on the Radiant Light Church, how could she stop at merely attacking their cathedrals?
Wasn't every resident in this city a target for her vengeance?
The Holy Kelidos Empire belonged to the Radiant Light Church, so wasn't every resident technically a member under the church's jurisdiction?
The thought of exacting revenge on the entire population of the city caused Felicity's emotions to soar.
“This is only the beginning. Once I've wiped out this city, I'll destroy two more, and then I can go into hiding for a while.”
Felicity had already considered the Radiant Light Church's response once they realized what was happening. Therefore, she had to act quickly, ensuring the church wouldn't have time to intervene.
She was indeed experienced in such matters; after all, similar incidents had occurred in the past.
“I must say, this city looks quite beautiful.”
Floating among the clouds, Felicity looked down at the massive city below.
In this port city, the buildings were not particularly tall, but they were arranged in an extremely orderly fashion. The streets were wide, clean, and tidy, with people occasionally passing to and fro, presenting a scene of bustling life.
Everything about the city seemed quite wonderful, but what Felicity loved most was destroying the beauty in the eyes of others.
Floating high in the sky, she slowly extended her hand.
In the next moment, a massive number of bats emerged from her palm. One after another, they flapped their wings and flew out, quickly forming a vast swarm that gathered together like a sea of bats.
The residents of Gulf City naturally noticed this sight, and one by one, they looked up at the sky in astonishment.
“My God, what is that?”
“Why are there so many bats? Did something happen?”
“Why do I have such an uneasy feeling?”
Countless people looked up in surprise, unable to figure out what was going on for a moment.
Then, the multitude of bats flapped their wings and dove toward Gulf City.
At this sight, the faces of many in Gulf City instantly paled, and a powerful sense of dread surged in their hearts.
However, just as everyone felt as though disaster was imminent, a giant hand suddenly emerged from Gulf City and swatted directly at the sky.
That massive palm blotted out the sun, churning the very clouds as it caught all the bats in its grasp and crushed them with raw force.
In a mere instant, the swarm of bats that had filled the sky vanished without a trace.
This scene left the countless people in Gulf City in a state of shock, and even Felicity, high in the air, looked down in disbelief.
Under the gaze of every eye, Olivia walked through the void.
Standing in mid-air, she looked up at Felicity and said with a smile, “If it isn't Felicity, the leader of the Bloody Sickle. What a coincidence.”
Felicity frowned.
At this moment, she also recognized Olivia, and her heart was filled with confusion.
She didn't know why Olivia was here; shouldn't this person be in the Varian Empire?
Olivia's appearance gave her a slight sense of foreboding.
Without the slightest intention of answering, she turned and flew into the distance, choosing to flee the area immediately.
This sight left Olivia somewhat caught between amusement and disbelief.
Come on, you're a Destroyer. You, a Destroyer, see me, an Evolver, and you just turn and run?
Though she was speechless, Olivia quickly gave chase.
She naturally couldn't let Felicity escape just like that.
As the leader of the Bloody Sickle, Felicity was deeply steeped in sin. If she could eliminate the head of such a heretical organization, it would be purely beneficial.
Furthermore, the other woman possessed the Star Bead she was interested in.
The Star Bead was an incredibly important item to Olivia, so she naturally had no intention of letting it slip away.
The two of them, one chasing and one fleeing, quickly flew far into the distance.
The news of their appearance had already caused a massive stir in Gulf City, and word began to spread rapidly.
After flying a certain distance, Felicity was forced to stop.
Because Rose had appeared.
Rose floated directly in the path Felicity was trying to take. Her long, grayish-white hair fluttered in the wind, and her crimson eyes held little emotion as she watched Felicity's approach.
At the very first sight of Rose, Felicity felt a powerful sense of threat emanating from her. She instantly understood that the girl before her was just like her—a Destroyer.
But who was she? Why had she never heard of such a Destroyer before?
Faced with this confusion, Felicity asked directly, “Who are you? Why have I never heard of you?”
A Destroyer was not like an Evolver; there was no possibility of someone having just advanced to that rank without notice.
In Felicity's view, any Destroyer should have been an Evolver for a long time and should not be unknown.
In response to Felicity's question, Rose tilted her head slightly. “Why should you have heard of me? I've never heard of you either.”
What did that mean?
Felicity looked at Rose in confusion. Did the other girl not even know who she was?
As the leader of the Bloody Sickle, if nothing else, her reputation should have spread across the entire continent. How could someone not know her?
At that moment, Olivia caught up from behind. “Felicity, at a time like this, you still have the heart to care about someone else's identity? Shouldn't you have more pressing matters to worry about?”
Hearing the voice, Felicity turned her head and said with a grim face, “Olivia, I chose to leave not because I was afraid of you. You are merely an Evolver. Don't get too cocky and think you can actually handle a Destroyer.”
Olivia replied with a smile, “First of all, I'm not alone. I have a teammate, as you should have seen by now.
“Secondly, during the previous dragon disaster, there was no shortage of Destroyer-level dragons among those I dealt with, yet I was the one who emerged victorious in the end.
“Felicity, why do you think I chased you?
“Because I am here to kill you. Today is the day you die.”
