After Olivia Melianne had finished giving her instructions to Ian Rivers, she prepared to leave.
However, just before she could depart, Ian seemed to receive some kind of notification and said to her, "Sister Olivia, news just came in from headquarters. They want you to go there."
As the head of a cathedral, Ian possessed special authority that allowed him to directly receive orders issued by the church headquarters.
"Headquarters is looking for me? Is there something wrong?" Olivia asked in surprise.
"I don't know the specifics," Ian said, shaking his head.
"I understand. Go back to your duties."
Since the church headquarters was calling for her, Olivia could only head there first to see what was happening.
She walked straight into one of the West Sea Cathedral's chapels, came before the statue of the Radiant Goddess, and began to pray. Soon after, she opened a gate of light leading to the church headquarters.
Then, she stepped inside.
At the entrance of the church headquarters, a nun was already waiting.
Upon seeing Olivia appear, the nun—whose face looked familiar though Olivia couldn't recall her name—immediately hurried over.
"Sister Olivia, Sister Julia Elliott is looking for you. She says Rose is awake."
Olivia's expression shifted instantly.
She quickly took a teleportation formation and arrived at the island where Rose was being kept.
The island wasn't particularly large, and its borders were visible at a glance. Thus, the moment Olivia arrived, she noticed Rose.
Rose was still inside the giant crystal, but her aura had become much steadier, and her eyes held a new sense of spiritual vitality.
Olivia walked over quickly to check on Rose.
Her arrival was noticed by Rose, causing the girl's eyes to seem even more vibrant for a moment as more emotions surfaced within them.
"She felt relieved in an instant. It seems that for Rose, the presence of someone familiar is very important."
Julia, watching from the side, quickly made that assessment.
Then, before Olivia could say anything, crack after crack began to appear across the massive crystal before them.
Rose was coming out.
The cracks grew larger, and many crystal shards began to fall from the edges.
Before long, a massive opening split the crystal, and Rose stepped out one foot at a time onto the shattered fragments.
With a somewhat timid air, she approached Olivia.
"Sister Olivia."
At this moment, Rose was completely different from when Olivia had first met her.
Though she was still petite, like a child, she now had long ashen-white hair and crimson eyes. Her entire being exuded an eerie, mystical aura.
"Rose, are you still the Rose I know?" Olivia couldn't help but ask.
"Of course I am, Sister. But I've also noticed some changes in my body, and I don't know how it happened."
Rose seemed a bit uneasy, twirling a lock of her ashen-white hair around her finger. She appeared somewhat unaccustomed to the changes in herself.
"You don't know why you've become like this?" Olivia asked.
"I don't. I feel like I've been in a dream—a very, very long dream," Rose said, a hint of bewilderment in her eyes.
Seeing this, Olivia could only continue to question her patiently.
While questioning Rose, she also consulted the magic mirror in her mind. Combining the information, she quickly deduced Rose's current state.
Rose had not recovered her ancient memories.
She still didn't know who she originally was.
She was also unaware that she had merged with a forbidden artifact.
And she knew nothing about the God's Ruins.
For the current Rose, her earliest memories were still those of a wanderer.
Memories of being forgotten from time to time, wandering the world in solitude.
These memories were the same ones she had before her transformation; nothing new had been added.
Of course, there were changes in Rose beyond just her appearance.
For instance, she could now fundamentally understand her own abilities.
In the past, Rose had possessed incredibly formidable power—enough to easily suppress Annie Spoorberg, an Evolver from the Twilight Council.
However, back then, she hadn't known how to use her power at all; everything had been pure instinct.
It was precisely because of this that she had fallen prey to the schemes of Dreamland Paradise.
Without knowing how to utilize her power, Rose could handle direct confrontations.
But when faced with the dream-based influences of Dreamland Paradise, she had been completely defenseless.
That was why she had been trapped by them in the past.
But if things were to happen again, the current Rose would not be trapped by Dreamland Paradise at all.
Because during her long period of dormancy, she had gradually mastered control over her own strength.
She was now a powerhouse in the truest sense.
"I feel like my power has become exceptionally strong, which scares me a little. I'm afraid I might accidentally hurt someone,"
Rose told Olivia timidly.
She didn't know anyone else and only recognized Olivia. For now, she only felt safe staying by Olivia's side.
"Especially inside my body... a strange pool has appeared. I feel like if I were to even slightly nudge the power within that pool, something terrifying would happen."
Hearing Rose say this, Olivia's expression became quite subtle.
Wasn't that a magic pool?
When a transcendent reached the stage of a Destroyer, they would possess a magic pool, allowing them to unleash even more terrifying power.
Was Rose actually a Destroyer?
Had she been a Destroyer all along, or did she only become one after this revival?
Olivia initially thought it was the former, as Rose hadn't undergone any advancement ritual.
But she quickly realized that didn't seem right.
Rose had indeed been trapped by several Evolvers from Dreamland Paradise. Even if her state had been problematic and she couldn't exert much of her power, if she were a Destroyer, she wouldn't have fallen to such a state, right?
Olivia felt that those few Evolvers from Dreamland Paradise shouldn't have been able to truly trap a Destroyer.
Therefore, Rose's advancement must have been recent.
Perhaps Rose's long period of dormancy was itself a form of advancement? After all, different transcendent paths had different ways of advancing.
As for what Rose's transcendent path was?
Olivia asked the magic mirror, but even the mirror couldn't provide an answer, because this was a unique transcendent path—one that belonged solely to Rose.
With no precedent, there was naturally no name for it.
