Under the relentless assault of the Primal Tinder, Erbane Cliff looked even more wretched.
A damaged destruction-grade forbidden artifact was still a destruction-grade forbidden artifact. Even if it couldn't unleash the full power of its prime, it was still incredibly difficult to deal with—at the very least, it was enough to make an Evolver like Erbane feel utterly miserable.
Furthermore, Olivia Melianne was not about to just stand by and watch.
Coordinating her movements with the Primal Tinder, she used Limb Extension to reach out and violently strike down at Erbane.
The force of the impact caused the protective barrier around Erbane to vibrate violently, and countless fine cracks interlaced across its surface until it was covered in them.
The powerful counter-shock even seeped through, leaving Erbane feeling an intense tightness in his chest, nearly causing him to cough up a mouthful of blood.
This was clearly a dead end with no way out.
Erbane could only struggle desperately, but at this moment, all his efforts seemed futile.
This Evolver, who had lived for a full five hundred years, was feeling this level of helplessness for the very first time.
What followed was a foregone conclusion.
Olivia struck out rapidly, each blow as powerful as a thunderclap, forcibly shattering Erbane's protective barrier. With the assistance of the Primal Tinder, it wasn't long before she crushed Erbane to pieces over the ocean.
An Evolver had fallen.
After killing Erbane, Olivia took out the wallet-shaped Starry Rift. After rummaging through it for a moment, she found a ship and brought it out.
To say she "brought it out" wasn't quite accurate; she simply used her mental power to lock onto the ship she had found within the Starry Rift and willed it to manifest. With a thunderous boom, a massive vessel appeared on the sea beside her.
On the ship's deck, a large group of people stood waiting for the outcome.
These people were, of course, the remaining members of the Time Chamber of Commerce.
However, they did not see Erbane returning in triumph. Instead, they were met with Erbane's mangled, unrecognizable remains and the figure of Olivia.
Seeing this, several of them collapsed to their knees with a thud.
“You lot wouldn't mind telling me about the Time Chamber of Commerce, would you? Specifically, about what's inside that alternate space, the Space-Time Castle. Tell me everything. I assume you're willing to talk?”
Olivia wanted to take this opportunity to learn more about the Space-Time Castle.
As she questioned them, she gestured toward Erbane's corpse nearby.
It was the ultimate deterrent.
Hearing Olivia's inquiry, everyone nodded their heads in a frantic rush, not daring to show even the slightest hint of resistance.
After all, Olivia had already killed Erbane. If she wanted to kill them, it would be child's play; they were completely incapable of resisting.
...
Meanwhile, at the church headquarters.
On a floating island, Julia Elliott and the others were gathered around a giant crystal, conducting research. Within that massive crystal, the blurred figure of a young girl could be seen.
This research had been ongoing for quite some time, and Julia had managed to gather a fair amount of information based on her experience.
She stood to the side, looking thoughtfully at a summary report in her hand.
“These crystals are currently in a living state, and their reactions are becoming increasingly intense. Is Rose about to wake up?”
Julia murmured, looking back into the crystal.
This look caused her pupils to contract instantly.
Inside the crystal, Rose's eyes had begun to move at some point and were now staring straight at her.
Those eyes were filled with excitement and held an eerie color that made one feel strange when being watched.
Rose's eyes had always been open, but Julia remembered that she hadn't been looking in this direction.
To be precise, although Rose's eyes had been open before, they had been vacant; they shouldn't have given off this feeling of being watched.
So, what was happening?
Julia instinctively moved a few steps to the side, only to find that Rose's eyes moved along with her.
Rose was indeed looking at her!
Is she awake?
Julia was shocked to her core and couldn't help but ask, “Rose, can you hear what I'm saying? If you can, blink twice.”
Upon hearing this, Rose inside the crystal immediately blinked her eyes.
She really was awake!
This situation caused Julia's emotions to surge violently.
She then asked, “Rose, can you come out of this crystal? Or is it not suitable for you to come out yet, and you need to stay inside?
“If you can come out, blink your left eye once. If you can't, blink your right eye once.”
Rose blinked her left eye.
She could come out.
“You can come out? Then why don't you?” Julia asked curiously.
Rose had no way to answer that question.
Julia could only continue to communicate with Rose. She could sense the confusion and unease deep within Rose's heart, so she kept her tone exceptionally gentle.
...
At the same time, Olivia had already gathered a lot of information from the members of the Time Chamber of Commerce.
Because she had demanded they talk about the Space-Time Castle, the information she received was relatively fresh.
This allowed her to understand more about the internal conditions of the Space-Time Castle and the Time Chamber of Commerce as a whole.
During this process, Olivia also had the ship sail toward the coast.
Once she had learned enough, she put the ship, along with the members of the Time Chamber of Commerce on board, back into the Starry Rift and flew rapidly toward the land.
Before long, Olivia returned to West Sea City and arrived at the West Sea Cathedral.
When she descended upon the cathedral, the head of the West Sea Cathedral, Ian Rivers, once again came out to greet her with great respect.
Then, in front of Ian Rivers, Olivia produced the Starry Rift and took out the Time Chamber of Commerce's ship.
Under her orders, the members of the Time Chamber of Commerce disembarked one by one. Once everyone was off, Olivia put the ship away again.
The ship's performance was quite good; constructed from a vast amount of spiritual materials, it possessed many supernatural powers. Olivia naturally intended to keep it as part of her collection.
As for the people from the Time Chamber of Commerce, Olivia said to Ian, “They are from the Time Chamber of Commerce. I'm handing them all over to you now. Interrogate them however you wish; I won't be involving myself with them further.”
“I shall follow your orders, Sister Olivia,” Ian nodded repeatedly, indicating his understanding.
