More importantly, when Olivia’s sword thrust forward, Elliot felt the world before him suddenly turn chaotic.
It was as if layer upon layer of worlds were overlapping, pulling him into a terrifying multi-layered illusion.
This was a natural effect of the Sevenfold Dream Sword, a top-tier spiritual weapon.
When Dream had used this Sevenfold Dream Sword against Olivia, she had found it difficult to make the effect work.
But now that Olivia was using it against others, the sword’s power finally showed its true potential.
However, Elliot was an Evolver after all. His consciousness was not trapped in the dream for long before he forced himself to break free with his powerful willpower.
Yet, by the time he escaped the illusion, the Sevenfold Dream Sword had already pierced his body.
Of course, the damage from the sword itself was secondary; the real threat was Olivia herself.
Elliot saw Olivia’s palm expand to a massive size in an instant. There were rock-like patterns etched into the giant hand, giving it a tangible, artistic texture.
Then, that massive hand slammed down with a thunderous boom.
In that split second, Elliot felt as though his entire being was about to be crushed. His body twisted unnaturally under the heavy blow as he was slammed head-first into the soil by the massive palm.
The intense pain forced a blood-curdling scream from Elliot’s throat.
He tried to break free, but after the giant hand slammed him into the dirt, it clamped down on him. No matter how he struggled, he couldn't escape.
He felt his body being subjected to terrifying pressure. His bones creaked and groaned, and he felt as though he were about to be squeezed into paste.
How could this be?
Even if the opponent was also an Evolver, why was she able to suppress him so completely?
They were both Evolvers—so why did he feel so utterly powerless?
This situation was wrong. It wasn't supposed to be like this.
As an Evolver, he was meant to live a life that others envied. How could he have fallen to such a state?
Elliot screamed repeatedly, struggling to break free from Olivia’s grip as his powerful aura flared across the area.
But no matter what he did, he couldn't escape the giant hand. He was held in a death grip.
The spectators on both sides watched this scene with profound shock.
Rosalind and her companions, in particular, were left dumbfounded.
When Elliot had revealed himself as an Evolver, they had felt a sense of despair, thinking their lives might end there today.
But at this moment, the Elliot who had driven them to despair looked even more desperate than they had been.
And Olivia was the one responsible for it all.
Just then, someone from Elliot’s side spoke up: “That technique looks somewhat familiar.
“I heard that during the struggle for the Protagonist of the Era in the Holy Kelidos Empire, the Radiant Light Church’s Protagonist of the Era, Olivia, once displayed the ability to extend her arms and make her palms grow massive.
“Many people speculated that this Olivia follows a transcendent path unknown to the rest of the world.
“Could it be that this nun is on the same transcendent path as that Olivia?”
The crowd broke into a commotion at this speculation.
As a vampire, Elliot’s hearing was incredibly sharp. Even as he was being squeezed to death by Olivia, he heard the analysis.
However, after hearing those words, he didn't think this nun was simply someone on the same path as the Protagonist of the Era.
She was too strong, too overwhelming. He felt as though he weren't facing a transcendent of the same rank, but rather a Protagonist of the Era herself.
But how could there be so many Protagonists of the Era?
So...
“You... are you Olivia?”
Elliot managed to squeeze the words out.
As Elliot’s voice fell, the eyes of everyone present widened in disbelief as they stared at Olivia.
This person was Olivia? The Protagonist of the Era from the Radiant Light Church?
Olivia smiled faintly. “Who I am doesn't matter. What matters is that it’s time for you to meet your end.”
Olivia’s movements were swift and decisive. With a final, powerful squeeze, she crushed Elliot’s last bit of resistance, killing the Evolver right then and there.
In a battle between two Evolvers, such a ridiculous power gap normally wouldn't exist.
Unless one of them was a Protagonist of the Era.
After casually crushing Elliot to death, Olivia shook her hand and looked toward Elliot’s subordinates.
Then, her arms extended, rapidly closing the distance to the group.
“Run!”
The sight of her approaching arms scared Elliot’s men out of their wits. They used every ounce of their strength to flee.
However, how could they possibly escape from Olivia?
In a short amount of time, Olivia’s hand-whip caught up to them one by one, easily striking them dead on the spot.
Before long, every single one of them had been wiped out by Olivia.
Olivia retracted her arms. Her hands remained clean and ivory-white, without a single drop of blood on them.
She turned around and looked at the stunned Rosalind and the others, smiling. “All right, the danger is gone. You don't have to worry anymore.
“What do you plan to do next? I’m planning to leave the God's Ruins and head back.
“If you’re leaving as well, you can come with me.
“If you want to keep exploring the God's Ruins, then we’ll have to part ways here.”
Looking at Olivia’s nonchalant expression, Rosalind swallowed hard.
She hesitated for a moment before she couldn't help but ask, “Sister Stella, is your name really Stella? Or is it Olivia?”
Olivia smiled. “A name is just a label; there’s no need to care too much about it.
“Of course, if you want to call me Olivia, that’s fine too.
“After all, Olivia Melianne is indeed my name.”
The group was shaken. They had truly met the Protagonist of the Era from the Radiant Light Church!
