A powerful transcendent?
Olivia displayed her interest at the right moment. "What kind of transcendent is he? May I know his class rank?"
"Of course. That gentleman is a Skywalker," Gerard provided the answer.
"A Skywalker... they are people who can truly fly in the literal sense." A look of longing appeared in Olivia's eyes.
She felt that her acting skills were becoming more refined lately; she could project whatever emotion she wanted with ease.
She asked again, "May I know that gentleman's name?"
Gerard nodded. "Of course. You're one of our own now, so there's no need for too many secrets.
"Besides, you'll be coming with me to meet this gentleman soon. It's not a bad thing to learn about him in advance.
"His name is Thales Walker.
"He only recently arrived in Kaliron. Usually, it wouldn't be easy for us to meet him even if we wanted to—after all, he is a Skywalker.
"And from what I know, this gentleman has traveled very, very far along the path of a Skywalker, already touching the threshold of an Evolver.
"Perhaps, for him, becoming an Evolver is only a single advancement ritual away.
"So, Miss Stella, you must remember to be respectful when you meet him. You cannot afford to offend such a man."
As Gerard spoke, Olivia's heart churned restlessly.
Was this some kind of joke?
Gerard wanted to take her to see Thales?
Wouldn't her identity be exposed instantly?
Wouldn't that be the end of her?
Olivia never expected to face such a situation so suddenly, but on the surface, she still didn't show any sign of distress.
She maintained her smile. "Of course. I naturally have the utmost respect for the strong, let alone a Skywalker. So, when exactly are we going to see this gentleman? I'm already quite looking forward to it."
Gerard laughed. "That requires an appointment. A grand figure like him isn't someone we can see just because we want to. Anyway, Miss Stella, go back and rest first. When the time comes, I'll have Esme notify you."
"No problem," Olivia agreed readily.
This allowed her to breathe a secret sigh of relief.
As long as it wasn't an immediate meeting, it meant she still had room to maneuver.
After that, Gerard announced he had matters to attend to and left first. Olivia and Esme leisurely finished their afternoon tea in the manor before departing.
...................
Another night fell.
Once darkness descended, Olivia returned to the Elijah Chamber of Commerce and then hurriedly teleported back to her home on Annus Street.
There, she reset the coverage of the King's Domain before teleporting once more, this time arriving at the entrance of the Dawn Cathedral.
She quickly stepped into the church and found the person in highest charge of the Sunlight Cathedral—a crowned nun.
A crowned nun corresponded to the Skywalker class rank.
Within the church, a crowned nun or the corresponding bishop could serve as the highest person in charge of a cathedral in an Imperial Capital like Kaliron.
Of course, this required the cathedral to be in an important location; an Imperial Capital like Kaliron necessitated a crowned nun or a bishop as the head.
If it were in other cities or regions, a presence of this level would not be required.
The crowned nun at the Sunlight Cathedral was named Ivy Lancaster, a middle-aged woman with long blue hair and eyes of the same color.
The mission for Olivia to go undercover in the Rose Legion had been issued by this crowned nun personally.
Deep within the Sunlight Cathedral, in a massive sanctuary, a dreamlike light swirled about, its source indistinguishable.
At this moment, crowned nun Ivy Lancaster was praying silently. Her nun's habit fit her exceptionally well; even though she was no longer young, the curves of her figure still drew wandering eyes.
"Lady Ivy," Olivia said as she walked in.
Hearing the voice, Ivy turned around. Her blue eyes were as deep as the ocean, and her face showed neither joy nor sorrow.
"Do you have something to report?" Ivy asked at a measured pace.
"Something very important," Olivia said distressedly. "Lady Ivy, I told you back then—if you wanted me to go undercover in the Rose Legion, you had to provide me with a way to disguise my identity.
"At the very least, I shouldn't have run off to be a mole without changing my appearance at all.
"But you told me that very few people know me and there was no need to worry about such things.
"And yet, as it turns out, exactly what I feared has happened. Someone who knows me has appeared.
"I will likely have to meet with them soon. When that happens, they'll discover that this new recruit to the Rose Legion is actually a nun from the church.
"What am I supposed to do?"
Olivia spread her hands, expressing her helplessness.
Fortunately, she had asked the magic mirror and knew that the woman was a nun loyal to the church with no intention of harming her; otherwise, she wouldn't have come to complain.
Ivy asked in confusion, "You met someone who knows you? Who?"
Olivia had already prepared her excuse for this question. "It's an old man I happened to meet by chance. I didn't expect him to be a member of the Rose Legion. When Count Gerard told me his name, I was truly shocked."
She claimed she had seen the old man named Thales near her home and had shared a brief conversation. Of course, at that time, she didn't know he was from the Rose Legion and thought he was just an old man doing morning exercises.
"Even though we only met once, since I could think of him the moment I heard his name, I believe he'll be able to remember who I am the moment he sees me. I don't think I can take that risk," Olivia said seriously.
"Could it be a coincidence? Just someone with the same name?"
"It's possible, but with things like this, I can't afford to gamble. Don't you agree, Lady Ivy?"
"..."
Ivy couldn't help but fall silent for a moment.
She had to admit that Olivia was right. One couldn't gamble on such matters; once the bet was lost, the consequences would be unimaginable.
The church couldn't simply lose an outstanding nun like Olivia, so there had to be a solution.
Ivy said, "This is an unfortunate coincidence. Since you've sensed the danger, the church will naturally help you through it. Let me think... hmm, I remember a forbidden artifact that might be able to help you."
Olivia sighed. "At this point, even if you give me a forbidden artifact to change my appearance, Lady Ivy, it's too late. Some people already know what I look like. Changing my appearance now would only arouse their suspicion."
