In an instant, Olivia was completely sealed off, facing a barrage of various attacks.
She wasn't surprised by this, having clearly anticipated the situation.
Her eyes remained calm, without even a ripple of emotion. With a slight movement of her fingers, she drew upon the power of Elemental Praise.
Immediately, a massive amount of earth element gathered in front of her, instantly forming a giant earth wall that separated her from the charging vampires.
The vampires' attacks crashed into the earth wall with a series of thunderous booms, yet the wall remained completely unmoved.
"Watch out, she's an elemental mage!" Jett, the leader, suddenly shouted.
He raised his hand to continue his assault, but his expression suddenly darkened as if he had noticed something. By then, it was too late to warn the others.
The ground beneath their feet had cracked open at some point, with dense fissures spreading out like a spiderweb across a large area.
Just as Jett noticed the change beneath him...
Boom!
Accompanied by an explosive sound, the ground abruptly shattered. Countless pieces of rubble and dust flew into the air, and the people standing on the surface fell uncontrollably into the opening.
As they fell, the ground surrounding the shattered area shifted again. Large mounds of earth rose up and converged toward the center, acting like a lid closing over the newly formed pit.
The vampires had just plunged into the hole and hadn't even had time to climb out when the sky above them turned black. A massive amount of soil and rock rained down, clearly intended to bury them alive!
Even though they knew what was coming, the vampires were powerless to change it. They could only watch as the earth and stone descended, followed by total darkness.
The elemental power surged continuously, rapidly repairing the earth until it was as if the rift had never existed. The ground became flat once again in an instant.
Those buried beneath would, of course, remain there forever.
Olivia dispelled the earth wall in front of her and stepped out from the shadows, calmly looking at the only person still standing in the area.
"It wouldn't be right for you not to stay with your companions, would it?" Olivia said with a smile.
The one still standing on the ground was, naturally, Jett.
The vampire leader had sensed the danger in time and used his ability to manifest a pair of Gliding Bat Wings to glide briefly. Although he couldn't fly, that short duration was enough to keep him from falling into the pit, allowing him to escape the fate of being buried alive.
But was this truly a better fate?
"Who... who are you people? Do you have any idea who we are? You dare to attack us? Are you not afraid of irreversible retaliation?" Jett's face was pale, but he had to force himself to remain calm, attempting to salvage the situation with words.
Before Olivia could speak, Esme couldn't help but laugh. "Of course we know who you are. Aren't you just the vampires of the Bloody Sickle? Since when has the Rose Legion ever feared the threats of you vampires?"
The Rose Legion?
Upon learning the origin of his opponents, Jett's expression became even grimmer.
He was well aware of how much the Bloody Sickle and the Rose Legion despised each other. If the Rose Legion wanted to strike at the Bloody Sickle, they didn't need a reason, and they certainly wouldn't fear any threats.
With that thought, Jett lunged forward. A pair of Gliding Bat Wings appeared on his back, carrying him as he glided toward the distance.
This was an ability vampires could master only at the Sensate class rank, known as Gliding Bat Wings, which provided quite impressive mobility.
However, no matter how great the mobility, it was useless at this moment.
Olivia raised her hand. Suddenly, a blinding flash appeared in the void. First there was light, followed by the sudden roar of deafening thunder.
A slender bolt of lightning shot forth as if it could tear through anything, catching up to Jett in an instant. The intense light made Jett's pale face look even more ghastly.
"No!"
Jett let out a shrill scream, unwilling to accept such an end, but he was ultimately submerged by the lightning without mercy. He fell to the ground as a charred, human-shaped corpse amid the thunderous roar.
With that, all the vampires in the Lyden Theater had been eliminated.
Yet the people inside the Lyden Theater were completely unaware. The singer's voice and the cheers of the audience continued to drift out from the building.
"Ms. Esme, may I consider my mission complete?" Olivia asked Esme with a smile.
"Of course. And you did an outstanding job. You have a very keen intuition, excellent combat skills, and extremely elegant manners. You truly are an exceptional transcendent," Esme praised her without reservation.
When she said it was complete, she meant that Olivia's part was done.
In reality, the matter of the Lyden Theater was not over. Although the vampires here had been dealt with, the theater itself had to be addressed. Since they had chosen to become the pawns of the Bloody Sickle, they had effectively chosen to become their enemies.
However, that didn't require Olivia's involvement.
Esme immediately invited Olivia to the count's estate, stating they would hold a celebration there, and Olivia naturally accepted.
...................
The celebration itself wasn't anything special. Count Gerard met Olivia again and offered his praise, believing that Olivia had fully integrated with them. He mentioned that he would introduce her to more people within the organization soon.
This made Olivia a bit nervous, yet also a bit expectant.
She certainly needed to meet more people in the organization, which was why the church had arranged for her to go undercover in the Rose Legion. If she could confirm that the royal family truly had ties to the Rose Legion—or perhaps even held important positions within it—the church would take further action.
But Olivia's concern was also justified; she was always afraid of running into someone who might recognize her.
Therefore, when Gerard expressed his desire to introduce her to some people, Olivia feigned curiosity and asked, "Lord Count, who are you planning to introduce me to? Is it someone of high status?"
Gerard replied, "It's quite a coincidence, actually. A certain lord has recently arrived in the Main District, and I thought I could take you to meet them. Though this person has no specific official status, they are an extremely powerful transcendent."
