Rose Legion, are you serious?
When Esme came over with the mission for Olivia and explained its purpose, Olivia couldn't help but fall into deep thought.
This mission was somewhat humorous.
Seeing Olivia sink into thought, Esme thought she was worried about the difficulty and persuaded her, "Miss Stella, I know this gives you some reservations, but please believe that as your first mission joining the organization, the difficulty is actually not high.
"We have already investigated the transcendents at the target location, and there aren't any particularly strong individuals. Your strength is sufficient to handle them.
"What you need to do is eliminate them.
"This group of vampires has always been at odds with our organization. Striking them is making a contribution to the organization.
"You don't need to worry about retaliation from the Bloody Sickle either, because we won't leave any loose ends. No one will know it was you who acted.
"Miss Stella, what do you say?"
This mission was for Olivia to go to a Bloody Sickle stronghold and deal with the vampires there.
The reason the Rose Legion had targeted the Bloody Sickle was obviously Thales's revenge against them; even the related mission was likely issued by Thales internally.
And this mission was probably taken by Count Gerard and then handed down to Olivia.
Everything had come full circle back to her, making Olivia feel a bit strange, and her expression couldn't help but turn slightly odd.
She didn't really want to take this mission, worrying about meeting Thales afterward. He knew what Olivia looked like, after all. Once he saw her, it would confirm that Olivia was Stella, which would surely cause her a lot of trouble.
After all, she hadn't reported to the Rose Legion that she had been sent back by the church as an undercover agent.
If that happened, her identity as a mole would naturally face a severe crisis.
However, it was difficult to refuse this mission.
This was the first mission the Rose Legion had issued to her since she joined. If she refused even the first mission, she would inevitably lose their trust.
'Tsk, it's a bit troublesome, but... there's no way to be a mole without any risk at all. With my trump cards like the magic mirror and King's Domain, I'm fairly decent at self-preservation...'
As Olivia's thoughts whirled, she made a decision in her heart.
She put on a smile again and said to Esme, "Sorry, I thought about it for a bit long. I mainly didn't expect to clash with other transcendent organizations so soon.
"I've heard of the Bloody Sickle and know they are a bloody and terrifying organization, so facing them directly gave me some reservations for a moment.
"But as a member of the Rose Legion, it seems I have no need to fear the Bloody Sickle.
"So, I'll take this mission."
Upon hearing this, a smile appeared on Esme's face.
She said with a smile, "Don't worry, this mission won't be too hard. After all, it is your first mission."
Next, she shared the relevant mission information with Olivia.
She stated that the Rose Legion would be launching various strikes against the Bloody Sickle, and the mission Olivia received was just one of them.
This mission was connected to a Bloody Sickle stronghold, and what Olivia needed to do was enter the interior and eliminate every vampire inside.
The process sounded simple, but Olivia felt it wouldn't be that easy to actually implement.
Because she had to handle every single vampire in that stronghold without missing anyone, she would need to grasp the timing perfectly.
But regardless, this was indeed something she could accomplish.
...
Not long after, Olivia and Esme left the Elijah Chamber of Commerce.
She was off to complete the mission, while Esme was responsible for following her to evaluate her performance.
Olivia dressed ordinarily and boarded a public carriage with Esme on Jasmine Street, heading unhurriedly toward their destination.
The Bloody Sickle's stronghold was located on a street called Thorny Flower Street. There was a theater there that appeared to be an ordinary business on the surface, but was secretly controlled by the Bloody Sickle.
When she first learned this news, Olivia was a bit puzzled.
A theater was no small business, and establishing one in Kaliron wasn't easy. How could it belong to the Bloody Sickle?
The empire and the church wouldn't let the Bloody Sickle build such a large industry right under their noses, would they?
This was different from the Rose Legion, which was suspected to have the involvement of the imperial royal family.
But the Bloody Sickle surely didn't have that kind of network?
When Olivia asked Esme this question, Esme provided an answer.
In the beginning, the theater was just a normal theater. It was only later that the owner came into contact with the transcendent world and, for some inexplicable reason, chose to throw themselves into the arms of the Bloody Sickle. Thus, it became a stronghold.
It could only be said that the way many things developed was always so unexpected.
Soon after, Olivia arrived outside the theater.
This theater was called the Lyden Theater and occupied a rather good plot of land. At this moment, many audience members were flocking inside, making it look quite popular.
"There are so many people here. A crowd isn't conducive to action," Olivia said, shaking her head.
Esme smiled. "No matter how many spectators there are, they will only stay in the audience seats. I imagine the backstage of the theater won't have nearly as many people."
"That's true." Olivia nodded.
The two of them also pretended to be ordinary audience members and headed inside the theater. Along the way, they could hear many others talking, learning that there were actually more people in the theater today than usual.
The reason for this was that the theater had invited a fairly well-known singer today and had announced the news to the residents of Kaliron through the newspapers in advance. Therefore, many audience members had swarmed in to chase after that famous singer.
"Singer Zevia Cheris, I've heard of her." Esme recalled. "That singer indeed has a good performance level and has been very popular in recent years. However, she made a wrong choice. She shouldn't have come to the Lyden Theater to perform."
Olivia smiled. "How could this singer know that the Lyden Theater has already fallen into the hands of heretics? She has no idea what's hidden in the shadows."
"True, but since she's here, if she's accidentally injured by us, she can't blame us." Esme said to Olivia, "Miss Stella, you can act without worry. Don't be afraid of hurting the innocent. Sometimes, there is no need to forcibly change an inevitable fate."
