In the couple's bedroom, Ivelina sat on the bed waiting for her husband's return. She knew why Lanier had called Tyr over.
Click.
The sound of the bedroom door opening echoed. Ivelina looked up as Lanier walked in from outside.
“How did it go?” Ivelina stood up, walked over to Lanier, and asked.
“No problems, my dear.” Lanier smoothly pulled Ivelina into his arms and kissed her smooth forehead.
“That's good.” Hearing that Tyr was fine, Ivelina's heart, which had been hanging in suspense, finally settled.
“Come, Ivelina, let's go to sleep too.” Lanier swept Ivelina, who was wearing a white nightgown, up into his arms and strode toward the bed.
“My sister and Tyr are both in the Marquis's mansion. We have to wake up early tomorrow.”
“It's fine, we'll finish early tonight.”
...
The next day, at the dining table.
“Lanier, try this. This broth is really good. The saltiness is just right, and it's incredibly savory.”
“Ivelina, you should try this bread too. The baking time was perfect, and it's so soft and fluffy. Oh, it's like eating a cloud.”
“Mmm, it's delicious. As expected of you, Ivelina.”
“The bread is delicious too. It definitely deserves Lanier's praise.”
Across the dining table, Carenna, who was sitting next to Tyr, stared at the lovey-dovey couple with an indescribable expression.
After eating another forkful of vegetables, Carenna raised her other hand to massage her temples and turned to look at Tyr.
“Have they always been like this?”
“This is actually them holding back,” Tyr shrugged. “We've barely scratched the surface. At the very least, my mother isn't sitting in my father's lap, gazing into his eyes lovingly while he feeds her.”
Tyr figured it was because his aunt was here, forcing them to restrain themselves a bit.
Or maybe because he had grown up, and parents needed to maintain some boundaries in front of their children?
But he quickly shook his head, finding that possibility highly unlikely.
It was probably the first reason. After all, his aunt had just given his old man a few heavy, wind-up punches yesterday.
“Then you've really had a hard time all these years, Tyr.” Realizing this wasn't even their limit, Carenna's gaze toward Tyr immediately filled with pity.
Just sitting here eating breakfast made her fists itch. Heaven knew how Tyr had survived all those years on his own.
If there was anyone present who remained unaffected, it was probably Sevira.
Not only did she not find Lanier and Ivelina's affection sickening, but she actually deeply envied their relationship.
Thinking of how her own parents were also so loving, she resolved to find a partner like this in the future.
Perhaps this was just a case of different people having different perspectives on the same thing.
After breakfast, they tidied up their attire.
“My dear, we're about to part ways. Let's have a parting kiss,” Lanier, who had changed into decent casual clothes, walked up to Ivelina and said.
“My dear, I'll miss you.” Ivelina skipped forward, stood on her tiptoes, and kissed Lanier's cheek.
Carenna: “...”
“If I remember correctly, Lanier is only going to his study to handle some government affairs, and we are only going to a clothing store outside the Marquis's mansion to buy some clothes.”
Because Tyr had spent the last seven years in the Sword Prison, he didn't have any change of clothes at home.
In truth, Ivelina had previously thought about making a set of clothes for every age stage of Tyr's growth. However, in the aristocratic world, clothing styles quickly went out of fashion.
Wearing outdated clothing to social events was generally considered impolite, or a sign that the family was bankrupt and couldn't afford new clothes.
Another issue was that Ivelina had no way of knowing Tyr's measurements. Everyone's body size changed at different stages of growth, leaving her with no starting point.
“Hey, Aunt, you'll have to get used to it. This is a very common occurrence,” Tyr said, shaking his head with his hands spread wide.
This was really nothing. Back when they were still in Wayne Village, even if Lanier was just going up the mountain to chop a bundle of firewood, the two of them would act as if they wouldn't see each other for months.
But looking at it from another angle, maintaining this level of passion day after day for over a decade was certainly something to be envied.
How many couples in the world started out together, only for their feelings to be ground down by the daily grind of life until they grew tired of each other and eventually parted ways?
“Fine, I'll try my best to get used to it.” Carenna placed her hand on her forehead. She was already starting to feel a headache coming on.
While their behavior made her feel a bit sick, the fact that her younger sister could still maintain her youthful mindset after more than a decade showed that Lanier treated her very well.
Considering how well Lanier had cared for Ivelina all these years, she decided she might hold back a few punches the next time she beat him up.
A moment later, Tyr and the others boarded the carriage of the Marquis's mansion and left the estate.
The carriage traversed the clean streets and entered the noble district, where all the shops catered exclusively to aristocrats.
Those who could open shops here were either wealthy commoners or nobles themselves.
Many wives and daughters of Barons and Viscounts opened shops here, and naturally, they would never serve commoners.
The carriage carrying Tyr and his group traveled all the way to the outside of the most magnificently decorated clothing store on the commercial street.
Tyr stepped down from the carriage and looked up at the clothing store in front of him.

The exterior featured off-white marble walls, with exquisite patterns carved into the corners and around the door. The solid wood door was delicate yet sturdy, featuring frosted glass that made it impossible to see inside from the street.
Even before stepping inside, simply looking at the shop's exterior...
...would make anyone instinctively realize that the items inside must be incredibly expensive.
Creak!
Lenore walked at the front, pushing open the wooden door of the clothing store for Ivelina and the others.
Stepping inside, they caught a whiff of a faint, pleasant fragrance. The floor was covered with a soft, expensive carpet, and a magnificent crystal chandelier hung from the vaulted ceiling.
Inside, silk drapes separated the display areas for different types of clothing. Expensive fabrics of various kinds rested on wooden shelves, alongside formal gowns and suits that looked highly valuable.
After Tyr and his group entered, a beautifully dressed woman with curly chestnut hair came out to greet them.
“Oh, Marchioness, your presence truly graces our humble shop!”
The moment they met, before Ivelina could even utter a single word, the other party immediately showered her with a barrage of flattery.
