The clamor of the Administrative Hall seemed to grow distant in that moment.
The staff members and people at the surrounding counters all stopped what they were doing, their gazes uniformly directed at Counter 3.
Liu Yi could feel Chiying tighten slightly around her neck, while Ziyue proudly puffed out her chest, her two tails swishing.
“Yes,” Liu Yi replied calmly. “It evolved after the High School Entrance Tournament finals. Previous records show my contracted pet was an Ice Fox, and the match footage from this year’s Longwu High School Entrance Tournament also shows my pet as an Ice Fox.”
The staff member took a deep breath, her fingers flying across the keyboard. “Alright, I need to first record the characteristics of the new form.”
She asked about details such as the Silver Snow Fox’s fur color, body shape, and tail changes, occasionally looking up at Ziyue, her eyes gleaming with disbelief.
“What about its racial potential?” the staff member asked. “The Ice Fox’s original evolution chain had a racial potential up to the Sovereign rank. This new form…?”
“It’s unclear at the moment,” Liu Yi answered truthfully. “We’ll need to wait for it to continue evolving to determine that.”
The staff member nodded and entered the information into the system. “As the Beast Tamer who cultivated a new evolution form for the Ice Fox, you have the right to name the new form. Are you confirming ‘Silver Snow Fox’? Please sign this New Evolution Chain Update Confirmation Form.”
She printed out an update confirmation form and handed it to Liu Yi.
Liu Yi scanned it, confirmed everything was correct, and signed her name.
“Next is new pet registration.” The staff member looked at Chiying, coiled around Liu Yi’s neck. “Is it this one on your neck?”
Liu Yi said, “Yes, a Moling Dragon.”
“A Moling Dragon? There’s no record of this pet in the system…” The staff member’s hand paused again, and she speculated:
“Is it a pet from another continent that hasn’t been introduced yet?”
“It’s not from another continent,” Liu Yi shook her head, though in truth, it probably wasn’t from the Saint Card East Asia Continent either.
But after registration, it could be.
“Could you describe its characteristics in detail?” The staff member’s voice had begun to tremble slightly.
Liu Yi took Chiying from her neck and carefully placed it on the counter. “Black scales, crimson eyes, five toes on each of its four small paws, dark purple dragon manes on its back and tail, golden patterns around its eyes and on its tail, and golden short horns on its head.”
Chiying cooperated with Liu Yi, displaying its characteristics.
The staff member abruptly stood up, her chair scraping loudly across the floor. “Please wait! I need to consult with my superior this time!”
Soon, a woman in uniform walked quickly over. Her nameplate indicated she was the Administrative Hall Director.
“Hello, I’m Fang Ning, the Administrative Hall Director.” She extended her hand and shook Liu Yi’s, her voice betraying an undisguised excitement. “Could I invite you and your pets to a VIP room to discuss this further?”
Liu Yi nodded, leading Chiying and Ziyue to follow Director Fang.
Inside the VIP room, Director Fang personally poured Liu Yi a cup of tea. “Student Liu Yi, first, congratulations on winning the Longwu High School Entrance Tournament Championship. Regarding your Moling Dragon, we need more detailed records.”
She opened an advanced terminal. “Based on your description and our initial observations, this is very likely a completely new Dragon-type pet, never before recorded on the Saint Card East Asia Continent.”
Liu Yi took a sip of tea. “I contracted it in the Myriad Realm Secret Realm.”
Director Fang’s fingers slid rapidly across the terminal. “The Myriad Realm Secret Realm does indeed harbor many rare pets, and after years of development, it’s certainly possible for unrecorded pets to exist. But a Dragon-type… especially a Dragon-type pet of this form…”
She paused, seemingly choosing her words carefully. “As you know, Dragon-type pets are almost synonymous with power on any continent. Your discovery could add a new page to our Saint Card East Asia Continent’s Beast Encyclopedia.”
Liu Yi gently stroked Chiying’s small dragon horn. “It’s my partner now. I just want to know if the registration process will be very complicated.”
“No, not at all.” Director Fang quickly waved her hand. “As the discoverer, you have the right to name it and priority research rights. We just need to collect some basic data, such as its length, weight, and attribute characteristics.”
Over the next half hour, staff members meticulously measured Chiying’s various data, occasionally exclaiming in surprise.
“Length 68 centimeters, weight 3.2 kilograms…”
“Scale hardness reaches Level 7!”
“The dragon horns contain special energy fluctuations…”
Director Fang looked at the gradually completed data on the terminal, her voice slightly trembling. “Student Liu Yi, this might be one of the most important pet discoveries on the Saint Card East Asia Continent in the past fifty years.”
Liu Yi calmly nodded. “So, is the registration complete?”
“Just one final step.” Director Fang pointed to a detector. “We need to collect your Beast Taming Space fluctuations and the pet’s energy fluctuations for matching certification.”
Liu Yi understood; she had done this with Ziyue before.
After Liu Yi and Chiying were scanned by the pure white light beams, a mechanical voice immediately sounded: “Contract certification passed.”
“Alright,” Director Fang let out a long breath, handing her a certificate and a card. “The new pet information has been registered. This is your New Dragon-type Pet Discovery Certificate, and also the temporary pet companion card President Shen instructed me to give you. Please keep them safe.”
“Thank you,” Liu Yi said, putting everything away and getting up to leave.
After leaving the VIP room, Liu Yi chose not to exit directly from the Administrative Hall, but instead walked through two other halls, leaving the Beast Tamer Association through the medical hall.
Chiying stirred gently on her neck, its crimson eyes silently observing the bustling traffic around them.
“We’re almost home,” Liu Yi tilted her head and pressed her cheek against Chiying.
“Bingbing.”
Ziyue glanced at Chiying and chirped, indicating that these things were all common and Chiying would understand them eventually.
Turning the last street corner, Liu Yi saw Auntie Chen, who had received her message and was waiting at the door.
Fluffy Butler floated beside her, and Boxing Bunny bounced towards them.
“Quan Quan!”
Boxing Bunny screeched to a halt in front of Liu Yi, curiously looking up at the egg in her arms.
“Xiao Yi!” Auntie Chen hurried over, her gaze sweeping over Liu Yi to confirm she was unharmed before sighing in relief. “You’ve been in the Secret Realm for seven days, you’ve gotten thinner.”
Liu Yi smiled. “Auntie Chen, I’m fine.”
“What is this?” Auntie Chen’s gaze fell on the Blaze Lion pet egg.
“A Blaze Lion pet egg,” Liu Yi carefully handed the egg over. “Its tribe gave it to me.”
Auntie Chen’s heart raced as she took the egg; the golden-red flame patterns on its shell glowed particularly brightly in her palm. “A Blaze Lion? The pet egg of the Blazing Lion, whose racial potential can evolve up to the Supreme rank?”
