“Titans, what are you just standing there for? Tear this guy to pieces!” Vlad II ordered.
The bio-mechanical monster locked in combat received the order, punched the person in front of him into the wall, and began to run with a roar. Whether it was members of the Red Glow squad or people from the Age of the Dead, anyone who blocked his path was smashed into a blood mist!
The ground shook violently, and the various hidden weapons along the way could not stop the footsteps of this humanoid beast in the slightest.
In the blink of an eye, Su Sui was surrounded from both sides. She turned her blade sideways, lifting her ko-tachi to block the strike from the baseball bat.
Her o-tachi was raised high—this was the Yagyu Shinkage-ryu’s Kiriotoshi. It was a test of timing and strength, emphasizing the use of softness to overcome hardness. She used it as naturally as flowing water; with a single downward cut, she sliced through the monster's entire arm diagonally.
Fighting two against one, Su Sui seemed to have plenty of strength to spare. Instead of defending, she took the offensive. Next came a Suigetsu Slash followed by a Four-Image Mind-Flow Slash, repeatedly striking the monster's heart and neck as blood blossomed in a soul-stirring display.
With a Swallow Return, she interrupted Vlad II’s buildup. Her o-tachi was drawn back and swung out like a bolt of lightning, the force of the sweep sending the young girl flying back several steps before she came to an abrupt halt.
Su Sui crouched slightly, holding her o-tachi above her head. Black flames ignited in the middle of the blade, spreading to the entire length of the sword in the next instant and raining down bright sparks. Her other blade, the ko-tachi, was held horizontally at her chin, the blade condensing a layer of frost that emitted a bone-chilling cold.
Rather than a simple sheathing stance, the girl's movements were so graceful they resembled a dance. In ancient times, people from the East would perform this dance to sacrifice to the gods during harvest, expressing their joy to please the deities and ensure favorable weather for the coming year.
A shadow warrior was a stealth-class, just like a shadow striker, but her way of fighting was far more beautiful. If a shadow striker used stealth to approach a target unexpectedly for a one-hit kill, a shadow warrior’s stealth was merely to get close and create a fair duel environment, defeating the target head-on with beautiful and eerie attacks.
Entering this stance, Su Sui entered a state of mind-flow. At this moment, everything in the world slowed down before her eyes, from the poses and movements of people to the tiny insects flying in the air. She could capture the harvest wind, as if she were standing in a field of golden grain.
Su Sui breathed in and out, slowly closing her eyes. No matter who it was, if they touched the ears of grain in this field, she would be able to perceive their next movement in advance and make a prediction.
The harvest wind would send ten thousand threads to her fingertips.
Titans, who had lost an arm, retreated a few steps. Sarcomas throbbed at the stump, and a new arm soon burst out. If someone could see through his body, they would find that there were no organs or flesh under his skin—it was stuffed with severed limbs and broken bodies!
Vlad II refused to believe it and took half a step toward Su Sui. A cold light flashed at her throat, and a spray of blood flew through the air.
Her back went cold. She saw it too—the wheat field surrounding the girl.
At this moment, she was already standing in the wheat field, surrounded by stalks higher than her head, each ear full and translucent. As long as she moved, the killing intent hidden within the harvest would strike.
A player in the middle of a fight accidentally stepped into this wheat field; a bloody gash immediately exploded across his chest, and he fell straight down.
Cold sweat slid down Vlad II’s forehead, and she dared not move again on her own.
However, Su Sui exhaled, and a wind blew through. The invisible ears of grain tilted toward Vlad II.
Sensing her master's danger, Titans ignored everything else. With a roar, he leaped high and landed beside Vlad II to shield her. The killing intent hidden within the awns of the grain followed closely behind, the blade-wind slashing wildly at his back and tearing away large chunks of flesh.
“Titans, catch her for me as fast as possible!”
Titans understood.
The big man’s back split open. Under the skin that had been torn away, four pairs of arms crawled out, making him look like an eight-armed Asura. His chest also split open, rows of dense teeth writhing inside.
The muscles in his legs quickly filled out, becoming incredibly sturdy, and his size nearly doubled!
His blue skin reflected a metallic luster, and two pairs of fangs protruded from his cheeks. A heaven-piercing black baleful aura erupted from his body, and an oppressive atmosphere filled the air.
——Corpse Party!
The members of the Age of the Dead who were familiar with their guild leader knew that in order to refine her own undead puppet, Vlad II had stuffed countless materials into Titans’ body. This monster might only need a single arm, but it would require slaughtering the people of an entire small city to fill it with their flesh and blood.
To refine this undead puppet, they had lost count of how many towns and cities they had slaughtered along the way—perhaps hundreds, possibly thousands.
Because of this, the reputation of the Age of the Dead was as foul as could be. It was no exaggeration to call them the most notorious guild in the entire server.
Living in the wilderness was common for them, and being besieged by several major guilds in the name of justice was a daily occurrence. They didn't care at all about the Silent Sequence's attitude toward them. Since they already had so many mortal enemies, what did one more matter?
As long as they followed such a leader, they could kill as they pleased and enjoy death and gore. They could catch some unlucky soul, bring them to their table, and slice them into thousands of pieces of fresh meat sashimi to enjoy elegantly. They could crush whoever’s head they wanted to crush, releasing the deepest evils of human nature without reservation.
“Go, Titans! Smash that guy’s head!” Someone stopped fighting to cheer from the side.
“Tear her apart!”
“Fold her into a triangle!”
“Roll her out like noodles! I want to use her as a jump rope!”
These members were already fantasizing about the girl being torn into pieces.
In the Corpse Party state, Titans was incredibly strong, nearly immune to physical damage. The high mobility brought by those muscles, the terrifying recovery ability—it was a strength that surpassed even Hercules!
If one were to rank the strength of all the major guild leaders, their leader, Vlad II, would certainly be on the list, in the tier just below Smiling Jazz.
The cheers of the crowd echoed in her ears. Vlad II smiled fiercely, her will merging with Titans as she controlled him to tear through the grain stalks blocking his way and rush toward Su Sui.
The sharp blade-wind could not cause any damage to Titans’ body. Superficial wounds were repaired in the blink of an eye. Every step he took crushed the ground, and his bunched-up arms contained the power to cleave mountains and seas!
Just as those giant palms were about to crush the girl’s head, the excitement on people’s faces froze. Su Sui dropped her stance and slowly sheathed her blade.
She turned around and walked away without looking back. Titans’ massive hand stopped just a few centimeters behind her head, unable to get any closer.
“Guild Leader!” a member shouted, his pupils bulging in shock.
Following their gaze, they saw Vlad II pinned to the ground by a red-haired girl with disheveled hair. Her pupils were vibrating uncontrollably, and a dagger was clearly buried in her chest!
Their eyes focused on a spot nearby. The girl who had originally been pinned to the wall was gone, leaving behind only a neatly severed arm. The tattered sleeve fluttered gently in the dead silence of the breeze.
“Uh... ....” Blood spilled from Vlad II’s mouth. The deep wound on her neck allowed the wind to keep pouring into her lungs, and blood filled her throat, making it difficult for her to utter a single syllable.
Her cross-shaped pupils contracted mechanically, reflecting the image of the red-haired girl.
Akabane Tsubaki’s face was slightly flushed, and she was panting lightly with warm breath. She leaned down, staring at Vlad II with an eerie grin.
“I was lying to you just now. Actually, your taste in clothes is super, super, super good! I really like it! So, give me that Alice as a gift, how about it?”
“Don't... even think... about it...” Vlad II spoke with great difficulty. “You... lunatic...”
“I’ll take that as a yes.” Akabane Tsubaki covered Vlad II’s mouth, her haunting gaze staring straight into the mechanical cybernetic eye with the cross-shaped pupil. “An old model Extinction 2000. I’ve been looking for this eye for a long, long time. I heard its performance is still top-tier even now, and it’s really cool. I’ve always wanted a pair.”
“How about this? I’ll just take one. That’s not too much to ask, right?”
“If you don’t say anything, I’ll assume you’ve agreed. Hehe, Big Sister, you’re so kind.”
Using her only remaining arm, Akabane Tsubaki tightly held down the struggling Vlad II until the latter lost consciousness. Then, under the horrified gazes of the onlookers, her hand slowly reached toward the young girl’s eye socket...
