He turned around and looked at Lilith.
“Then there might be a massive conspiracy behind it.”
Lilith nodded.
“I think so too. That’s why I came to the God Realm—to find out the truth.”
“How do you plan to investigate?”
“First, I’ll look at the God Realm’s records concerning Genesis, and then...” Lilith paused. “I want to go to the Eternal Abyss.”
The God King’s brow furrowed.
“The Eternal Abyss? What are you going there for?”
“The white-robed god said the Eternal Abyss is the edge of the God Realm, where time and space are at an absolute standstill,” Lilith said. “If Genesis really fell and his divine blood was used to forge the sword, then the place where it was forged is likely near the Eternal Abyss.”
The God King remained silent for a few seconds before nodding.
“That makes sense.”
He walked back to his desk, took a token from a drawer, and handed it to Lilith.
“This is the God King’s Token. With this, you can go anywhere in the God Realm, including the Eternal Abyss.”
Lilith took the token and examined it.
The token was pure gold, and on the back was the emblem of the God Realm—a sun and a moon intertwined.
“Thanks.” She tucked the token away, stood up, and stretched.
“That’s that, then. I’ll go look through the records first.”
With that, she turned to leave.
“Wait,” the God King called out to her.
“Hmm?”
“Regarding Orosius...” the God King said slowly. “Is he truly dead?”
Lilith looked back, a hint of coldness flashing in her red eyes.
“Dead as can be. I killed him myself.”
The God King stared at her for a few seconds before nodding.
“Very well.”
He paused, then added:
“If any other demons like him come to cause trouble in the God Realm in the future, I hope you will deal with it.”
Lilith arched an eyebrow.
“Are you trying to use me as free muscle?”
“It’s mutually beneficial,” the God King said. “You help me deal with trouble, and I help you uncover the origins of the sword.”
Lilith thought about it and nodded.
“Deal.”
She waved her hand and walked out of the study.
The white-robed god watched her departing figure and asked in a low voice:
“Your Majesty, are you really going to let her move freely throughout the God Realm?”
The God King was silent for a moment before speaking slowly:
“She is the Demon King; her strength is not inferior to mine. If she wanted to cause destruction in the God Realm, we couldn't stop her. Since we can't stop her, we might as well cooperate.”
He paused and added:
“Besides, what she said might be true. If that sword really is related to Genesis, then we must find out the truth.”
The white-robed god nodded.
“I understand.”
The God King looked out the window, his gaze deep and profound.
“Genesis... just what happened to you?”

Lilith walked out of the palace and looked up at the sky.
The sky had returned to normal, and the pale golden sunlight was pouring down, feeling warm and pleasant.
She stretched, feeling in a good mood.
“I didn't expect things to go so smoothly,” she muttered to herself.
“I thought I'd have to get into a fight.”
She pulled out the God King’s Token and tossed it in her hand.
“With this, I should have free rein in the God Realm, right?”
She thought for a moment and decided to head to the God Realm's library first.
The library should have the most records regarding Genesis.
She followed the map given by the white-robed god and headed toward the library.
Along the way, she encountered many gods.
When those gods saw her, they were stunned for a moment, then they all bowed.
“Greetings, Your Majesty the Demon King.”
“Good day, Your Majesty the Demon King.”
“Does Your Majesty the Demon King require a guide?”
Lilith was a bit dazed.
“You all... know who I am?”
One god replied respectfully:
“His Majesty the God King has already sent word throughout the entire God Realm, saying that the Demon King has arrived and that we should treat you with courtesy and not be disrespectful.”
Lilith’s lips twitched.
“He certainly moved fast.”
She waved them off.
“Don't mind me, I'm just looking around on my own.”
The gods bowed and withdrew.
Lilith continued walking, complaining inwardly:
“Well, so much for keeping a low profile.”
She sighed and quickened her pace.
She had better get to the library quickly, finish her research, and leave.
Staying in the God Realm for too long was an invitation for trouble.
