Wizard Thousand Eyes stood before the circular command console, a palm-sized light blue screen floating in front of him, scrolling with dense combat logs.
His gaze swept over the logs, his expression remaining perfectly flat.
"Is the main cannon's charging complete?" he suddenly asked.
A young white-robed wizard at the control station immediately looked up. "Lord Thousand Eyes, the main cannon has finished charging and is ready to fire at any time."
"Coordinates." Thousand Eyes recited a string of numbers.
The young wizard's fingers paused for a moment on the light screen.
He looked up, a hint of confusion flashing in his eyes.
Those coordinates were not in the engagement zone where the Third-Tier lifeforms were fighting in the sky; instead, they were deep behind the Amons' lines, at a location that seemed to have no strategic value whatsoever.
But he did not ask.
He was a White Wizard and a member of the command center.
Here, orders were orders.
"Coordinates entered." The young wizard's fingers moved rapidly across the light screen. "Main cannon charging complete. Target locked."
"Fire."
At the top of an unremarkable tower on the War Fortress, a section suddenly split open.
The dark grey stone rolled back to both sides like a living thing, revealing a massive hollow chamber inside the tower.
The walls of the chamber were covered in runic patterns so complex they were dizzying. Every line was frantically devouring surrounding energy particles, tightly linking the War Fortress's energy hub to this specific area.
In the center of the hollow, a ball of emerald light was rapidly condensing.
The light began as the size of a fist before swelling. Within one breath, it grew to the size of a human head; another breath, and it was as large as a carriage; and another, and it had expanded to dozens of meters in diameter.
Inside the light, countless fine runes were being born, recombining, and annihilating. Every pulse of light was accompanied by a tooth-grinding vibration of energy.
The light continued to expand and then compress.
It compressed from dozens of meters down to a few meters, then expanded from a few meters to hundreds of meters, repeating this cycle seven times.
Every compression and expansion made the light more blinding, more condensed, and closer to the edge of physical manifestation.
During the seventh expansion, the light was no longer an irregular mass of energy.
It began to change shape, condensing into a concrete form.
The light particles at the edges pulled inward while the central energy core protruded outward, finally forming a massive emerald-green eye.
The eye stood over thirty meters tall, its vertical pupil a deep jade green with countless complex runic patterns slowly rotating deep within.
A pale gold luster flowed across the surface of the eyeball, and every time it turned, it left distorted trails of light in the air.
The eyeball aligned itself with the coordinates given by Wizard Thousand Eyes.
Then, it fired a beam of light.
The beam was as thick as a millstone and moved so fast it was impossible to track with the naked eye.
Wherever the beam passed, the air was instantly vaporized, and space itself vibrated violently.
Fine spatial fragments constantly dissipated from the edges of the beam. These fragments annihilated quickly after breaking away, leaving behind black cracks in the air that lingered for a long time.
The beam crossed half the battlefield, landing precisely on the seemingly strategically worthless coordinates.
Boom!
The light of the explosion pierced through the entire world.
Light radiated from the center of the explosion in all directions. Everywhere it touched, everything began to annihilate.
Soil simply vanished.
Rocks were instantly vaporized.
The fortresses, towers, and walls built on the ground vanished into nothingness the moment the light swept over them, leaving not even ashes behind.
The shockwave of the explosion followed immediately.
Where the shockwave passed, a thick layer of the ground was peeled away. Soil, rock, and debris were swept up and hurled into the distance.
Stirred by the explosion, the energy particles in the air ran wild, forming visible energy storms. Within these storms, all life was instantly torn to shreds.
A massive mushroom-shaped cloud of smoke rose from the center of the explosion, its top piercing tens of thousands of meters into the high altitude, dyeing the entire sky an eerie emerald green.
Countless electric arcs crackled inside the smoke cloud. Every time an arc flashed, it left lingering scorch marks on the surface of the cloud.
Everything within a ten-thousand-meter radius of that area had completely disappeared.
The earth there had become a bottomless, massive pit. The walls of the pit were as smooth as if they had been sliced by a blade, with soil at the edges constantly sliding down into the depths.
That place had originally been the Amons' headquarters.
High Priest Orion had been there.
Now, there was nothing left.
The aftershocks of the explosion were still spreading outward.
With the pit as the center, Amons warriors and war machines within hundreds of thousands of meters were overturned by the shockwave. Severed limbs and broken bodies mixed with stone fragments and wood splinters, spraying in every direction.
Priests and Sentinels who were closer had their internal organs shattered by the shockwave. Pale blue blood gushed from their mouths and noses as they collapsed in droves.
In the sky, the struggling Amons Tier 3 lifeforms all froze simultaneously.
In their consciousness, the High Priest's aura had vanished.
A bear-shaped magical beast over three thousand five hundred meters long was the first to react.
Its entire body was covered in rock-like, grey-white armor, which was now riddled with cracks and scorch marks from wizardry attacks.
Its small eyes went wide, and a hoarse roar escaped its throat.
"Orion... is dead?"
No one answered it.
In the sky, the Tier 3 Wizards of the Wizard World gave them no chance to breathe.
Seizing the moment when the Amons' Tier 3 lifeforms were collectively dazed, attacks poured down like a torrential rain.
Lightning, curses, ice crystals, shadows, flesh-stripping, and spatial solidification—all methods erupted simultaneously.
Three Tier 3 lifeforms were struck in their vital points while distracted, their massive bodies tumbling and falling from the heights. Their remains slammed into the battlefield below, each impact making the earth tremble violently.
The Amons' defensive lines began to collapse.
It wasn't a local defeat in one or two places; the entire battlefield, every front, and every sector was collapsing at once.
The Amons warriors who had been resisting desperately felt their fighting spirit deflate like a punctured balloon the moment they sensed the High Priest's aura disappear.
A Sentinel stood atop a fortress, his battle-axe slipping from his fingers and carving a notch into the wooden planks at his feet.
He looked up at the massive corpses constantly falling from the sky, the light fading from his eyes.
"The High Priest is dead... and the Lord Guardians..."
Before he could finish his sentence, a pale purple ripple of light swept over from the distance, crushing the entire fortress and everyone inside into fist-sized fragments.
In another direction, an Amons Priestess knelt on the battlefield, her hands raised toward the sky as she chanted a prayer.
Behind her were mountains of corpses; before her were the steadily advancing cannon fodder legions of the Wizard World.
Halfway through her prayer, a pale gold electric arc swept over her. Her body, along with her dark green robes, turned into a pile of charred powder.
