Svidk's head crashed into the light shield.
A shockwave a kilometer wide exploded at the impact point, tearing the surrounding clouds to shreds.
Dense cracks spread across the shield's surface. The wizard was sent flying thousands of meters, tumbling over a dozen times in the air before stabilizing his form.
A trace of blood leaked from the corner of his mouth, but his dark red eyes showed no sign of panic.
"Do it," Wizard Thousand Eyes' voice transmitted from War Fortress Command.
In the next instant, all the Tier 3 Wizards in the sky changed their tactics simultaneously.
The wizard in the dark red robes stopped his retreat and clenched his hands in the air.
Space around Svidk suddenly solidified. Countless dark red chains erupted from the void, each as thick as a man's waist, their surfaces etched with intricate blood-red runes.
The chains coiled around Svidk from all directions, binding his massive four-thousand-meter body tightly.
Svidk let out a roar of primal rage. His dark gold energy armor let out an ear-piercing screech under the chains' crushing force.
His four claws kicked wildly, and the wind pressure from his lashing tail plowed deep furrows into the ground thousands of meters below.
But the chains only tightened. Every flash of the runes left deep welts on his body.
Meanwhile, on another part of the battlefield...
A snake-like magical beast over three thousand meters long was locked in combat with two Tier 3 Wizards.
Ink-black patterns flowed over its dark green scales, each scale the size of a door.
Its vertical pupils reflected the figures of two wizards: one in deep blue robes and another in a moss green cloak.
"Is this all you've got?" the snake beast mocked hoarsely. Its massive body moved fluidly through the air, its tail sweep slicing the clouds in two.
The witch in the deep blue robes traced an arc in front of her. Moisture in the air instantly condensed into countless fine ice crystals.
The crystals spun rapidly, forming an Ice Crystal Storm several kilometers wide around the snake beast.
Every crystal in the storm was thin as a cicada's wing yet sharper than the keenest blade.
Countless tiny wounds were carved into the snake's scales, and pale gold blood seeped out.
It hissed in pain, its massive body thrashing wildly within the storm. Each tail strike sent shockwaves rippling through the void.
"You—!" Before the snake could counterattack, the next strike arrived.
The wizard in the moss green cloak raised his left hand, the grey ring on his index finger glowing.
The air around the snake beast began to solidify. A greyish-white light permeated the air, sealing its three-thousand-meter body layer by layer within solidified air.
The coordination between the two Tier 3 Wizards was seamless.
The Ice Crystal Storm carved wounds into the snake's body, allowing the solidified air to seep in, freezing flesh, blood vessels, and the flow of energy particles within.
The snake's struggles grew sluggish. Inch by inch, starting from its head, its massive body turned into a greyish-white statue.
"No—" Its roar was frozen in its throat.
Five breaths later, the giant beast was completely solidified.
The witch in the deep blue robes flicked her finger.
The frozen snake beast began to disintegrate from the head down. Greyish-white chunks mixed with ice shards fell from the sky, kicking up clouds of dust as they slammed into the battlefield below.
But this was only the beginning.
High in the sky, the Tier 3 Wizards of the Wizard World finally cast aside their disguises.
The outsiders, whom the Amons thought they could suppress with superior numbers, suddenly unleashed combat power far beyond anything seen before.
A lean male wizard, wreathed in pale gold electric arcs, flickered through the onslaught of three flying magical beasts, leaving an afterimage with every movement.
A flying beast with a four-thousand-meter wingspan lunged at his previous position, but his true self had already appeared above its back.
He clapped his hands together, and dozens of thick lightning bolts rained down, striking the beast's wings.
Feathers charred, flesh vaporized, and bones shattered. The flying beast's right wing snapped at the base, and its massive body tumbled toward the ground.
Elsewhere, a grey-robed old wizard didn't even move.
He floated in the void, the shadow beneath his feet expanding rapidly.
The shadow spread like a black tide. Wherever it passed, the Tier 3 lifeforms of the Amons side felt their bodies grow heavy.
Countless pitch-black hands reached out from the shadow, gripping the limbs, necks, and tails of the magical beasts.
The grey-robed wizard raised his right hand and slowly closed his fist.
The black hands in the shadow tightened simultaneously.
The sound of shattering bones drifted down from tens of thousands of meters in the air, as clear as the snapping of dry twigs.
The three beasts caught in the shadow shrieked in agony. Their bodies twisted, deformed, and shrank within the darkness before being dragged into the shadow, vanishing entirely.
A torrential rain of pale gold blood fell from the sky.
One by one, Tier 3 lifeforms plummeted from the heights.
Some had their heads shattered by lightning, some had their flesh stripped by curses, some were frozen into shards by ice crystals, and some had their very existence swallowed by shadows.
Their remains crashed into the battlefield, each impact making the earth tremble violently. The craters they left were hundreds of meters deep, with the soil at the bottom melted by high heat and the edges billowing white smoke.
Svidk was still struggling.
His dark gold fur had been cut by the blood-red chains into countless wounds that bared his bones. Pale gold blood gushed out, pooling into a floating lake of blood beneath him.
His vertical pupils reflected the approaching figure of the dark red robed wizard. For the first time, fear appeared in his amber eyes.
"Wait... wait!" Svidk's roar cracked. "I can—"
The wizard in the dark red robes gave him no chance to finish.
He opened his right hand, and a dark red orb the size of a fist appeared in his palm.
The light on the orb's surface condensed and compressed, over and over, until it shrank into a point the size of a needle.
That speck of red light drifted down, landing lightly on Svidk's forehead.
Boom!
Svidk's head exploded from the inside out.
Dark gold blood mixed with bone fragments sprayed in every direction from the center of the explosion, blooming into a thousand-meter-wide flower of flesh in the void.
His headless four-thousand-meter body convulsed a few times, limbs hanging limp and tail no longer lashing, before slowly falling toward the earth.
War Fortress Command.
On the giant 3D battlefield map on the dome, the green symbols representing the Amons' Tier 3 lifeforms were winking out one by one.
With every symbol that vanished, the data at the edge of the map refreshed.
Wails, roars, and the sound of shattering bones echoed through the spacious hall, transmitted from the projection screens above.
