Bang! Bang!
Before he could even react, Tyrant’s fists began to slam down like a pile driver.
Pfft!
Buck spat out black blood. He tried to resist, but just as he attempted to rise, Tyrant’s fist sent him crashing back down.
Black blood continuously sprayed from Buck’s mouth and nose. The heavy thuds echoed across the entire street.
On the road dozens of meters away, Bai Yuwen watched Tyrant’s brutal beating of Buck with a look of disdain. “Damn, all that shouting at the start... I thought I’d run into a real tough guy, but this is it?”
Tyrant was no ordinary monster; it was a creature born from the fusion of ten thousand shadows, further empowered by the Lord of Evil.
On the street, passing vehicles ground to a halt.
The drivers were either stunned or stared in terror at Tyrant as it continued its mechanical pummeling.
Some pulled out their phones to record, while others, sensing the danger, quickly turned their cars around to flee.
Losing one’s life just to watch a spectacle wasn’t worth it.
After Tyrant delivered dozens of punches, Bai Yuwen, who had been watching the show, felt something was off. ‘He’s not dead yet?’
Thud, thud, thud!
“Ghouls may not be strong, but their defense is second to none,” a cold voice drifted from behind him.
Bai Yuwen’s eyes narrowed. He whipped his head around.
A black object expanded rapidly in his vision. His pupils shrank, but his body couldn't react in time.
Just as the black object was about to crush his skull, the trench coat rose automatically, blocking the fatal blow.
Boom!
With a massive impact, Bai Yuwen was sent flying back a dozen meters. As he was about to hit the ground, he took advantage of the momentum to fly into the sky, putting distance between himself and his previous position.
The trench coat retracted. A trickle of blood seeped out from beneath his mask.
Bai Yuwen looked toward the road. Standing there was a young man in a white suit. He had narrow eyes, thin lips, and his hair was slicked back into a voluminous pompadour.
His expression turned incredibly grim. “With that kind of power... who the hell are you?!”
As Tang Yongyun appeared, a woman in the distance filming with her phone looked at her screen in confusion as the video suddenly blurred. “Is my phone broken?”
It wasn’t just her; every electronic device in the vicinity was being interfered with.
Tyrant stopped its assault on Buck and turned, striding toward the young man.
Tang Yongyun remained expressionless. He reached out his right hand, and the crow that had nearly taken Bai Yuwen’s life landed on his arm.
He didn’t even look at the approaching Tyrant. Instead, he tilted his head and reached out his left hand to stroke the crow. “Who am I? If you can survive my hand, perhaps you’ll find out.”
“Caw! Caw! Caw!”
Crow cries echoed from the sky. A dense swarm of crows appeared in the distance; a quick glance suggested there were tens of thousands of them.
Though he hadn’t participated in the Ningcheng incident, Tang Yongyun’s growth while abroad had been just as rapid.
Secretly controlling an island with a population of tens of millions had significantly increased his Destiny Force.
Even though he hadn't reached the point of evolution yet, his strength was already twice what it had been back in Ningcheng.
“Arrogant!” Bai Yuwen was instantly enraged by the man’s words.
With a thought, Tyrant lunged at Tang Yongyun.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
The ground shook. A hundred meters was a distance Tyrant could cover in barely a second.
Its five-meter-tall frame appeared before Tang Yongyun, and it swung its massive right fist down with crushing force.
“Caw!” However, there were creatures even faster. The swarm of crows in the sky instantly broke the sound barrier.
They formed a black spike in mid-air, which pierced through Tyrant’s chest in an instant before slamming into the ground behind it.
Boom!
A crater over ten meters deep exploded into the ground behind them. Tyrant tried to struggle.
Bang!
Its body suddenly expanded and then exploded. Countless crows flew out from the black shadows.
In the sky, Bai Yuwen’s face was filled with horror. “Shit!”
Swish!
He turned and bolted toward the city center. He had no idea where this monster of a young man had come from.
The man clearly showed no energy fluctuations, yet he had obliterated Tyrant in a split second.
At that moment, Bai Yuwen pushed his speed to the limit, completely ignoring the drain on his stamina.
Tang Yongyun’s expression remained calm as he watched Bai Yuwen shrink into a small dot in the distance. “Naive. You’re just a brat who got supernatural powers yesterday. Did you really think you could achieve anything?”
Since he had chosen to act, he had come with the absolute certainty of a kill.
“Caw!” The swarm of crows took to the sky, pursuing Bai Yuwen.
Tang Yongyun scanned his surroundings. Seeing that people were still taking photos, he reached out a hand and remotely touched the black threads above their heads.
After finishing, he walked toward where Buck was. As he lowered his hand, the crow landed on his shoulder.
When he reached Buck, he saw the man picking himself up.
Buck’s face was covered in black blood, but he stood up as if nothing had happened, cursing angrily, “My god, that kid actually has some skill. That hurt like hell.”
Tang Yongyun looked at him and reached out to pat his shoulder. “While your strength isn't equal to his, your defense is superior. The ceiling for a Ghoul is simply too low.”
Buck had gained his abilities on the same day as Tang Yongyun, yet the gap between their powers was now absurdly wide.
Buck looked indifferent. “It might be low, but as long as my defense is tough enough, I can still block attacks for the Boss.”
Saying that, he looked in the direction Bai Yuwen had disappeared. “Boss, should I go after him?”
“Go. His shadow has been dealt with by me; he’s no longer a match for you.” Hearing Tang Yongyun’s words, Buck grinned.
A crow flew in front of him to lead the way, and he chased after it.
Bang!
Once Buck left, Tang Yongyun’s body exploded into countless crows that flew off in pursuit of Bai Yuwen.
He wasn't like Liu Qi, who still possessed a human body. Now, he feared no official attack, save for a nuclear strike.
After he left, a car in the distance suddenly self-combusted. The driver held their phone with a terrified expression.
They tried to push the door open, only to find it was locked tight. They couldn't escape.
It wasn’t just their car; every driver who had stayed behind to watch the spectacle met with various accidents.
In less than a minute, every single onlooker was dead.
