Patter, patter!
The rain continued to pour down over the military camp outside the city.
Inside a room, Liu Zhian sat in an electric chair, his body convulsing.
Yet his expression remained unchanged; no matter how much they shocked him, he refused to open his mouth.
A few meters away, Zhuge Ming watched the scene and spoke, “Liu Zhian, stop resisting. The Liu family is destined to be wiped out tonight. If you cooperate, maybe we can leave a survivor to carry on your family line.”
Hearing his words, a sneer appeared on Liu Zhian’s face. “Clown!”
After saying this, he closed his mouth and spoke no more.
Zhuge Ming clenched his fists and barked angrily, “Shock him again!”
Outside, soldiers were running back and forth in rapid succession.
To prepare for the upcoming operation, they hadn't stopped for a single moment.
The soldier on guard duty watched the busy scene inside and couldn't help but sigh in relief. ‘Thank goodness I’m on guard duty today, otherwise I’d be worked to death.’
Just then, he caught a glimpse of a figure approaching out of the corner of his eye.
He turned his head and saw an old man wearing a Zhongshan suit walking toward the military camp with his hands clasped behind his back.
Due to the darkness and heavy rain, he could only faintly make out that the old man's face seemed somewhat flushed.
Click!
He opened the door of the guardhouse and shouted at the old man, “Halt! This is a restricted military zone. Unauthorized personnel are prohibited from approaching!”
Hearing the soldier's warning, the old man's lips curled up slightly as he said in a raspy voice, “Young man, I am no stranger. My grandson is inside, and I've come to take him home.”
The soldier was puzzled to hear this. “Take your grandson home? This is a military camp, not a—”
The words caught in his throat before he could finish. He saw that the old man seemed to be surrounded by an invisible force field that kept the falling rain completely at bay.
What terrified him even more was that as the old man drew closer, he saw six crimson eyes on his face. The soldier's eyes widened in horror, and he tried to cry out for help.
Hum!
Suddenly, the world before him turned red, and a loud ringing filled his head.
He felt a sudden wave of weakness wash over his body, followed by a warm sensation trickling from his nose and mouth.
Thud!
The soldier collapsed face-first onto the ground, a mixture of red and white fluids oozing from his nose and mouth.
Liu Wen walked past the corpse with an indifferent expression. Spotting the iron gates ahead, he reached out with one hand.
Clang, clang, clang!
An invisible force twisted the iron gates, ripping them straight off the concrete walls.
Although he could only absorb ten percent of his cultists' spiritual essence, which wasn't enough to trigger another evolution,
this spiritual power was already sufficient to allow his mind to manipulate physical matter.
The commotion drew the attention of nearby soldiers. But the moment they caught sight of that flash of crimson through the rain,
their bodies suddenly lost all strength. They collapsed, blood pouring from their noses and mouths.
Strands of white mist drifted out from the dying soldiers and flowed into Liu Wen's body.
Tap, tap, tap!
Liu Wen walked forward. Along his path, every single soldier who looked his way collapsed instantly.
Thud! Thud!
As more and more soldiers fell, the sirens within the military camp finally wailed.
Woooo—!
“Enemy attack! Enemy attack! Everyone, grab your weapons!” A furious roar echoed through the speakers, reverberating across the entire camp.
A massive number of soldiers poured out from every direction, and even tanks began rumbling toward the entrance.
The surrounding searchlights converged on Liu Wen, highlighting his position for the soldiers.
“Liu Wen?” Zhuge Ming rushed out from the camp.
His expression darkened as he stared at the other man's six eyes, never expecting that he would turn into such a monster.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Several soldiers fired their weapons, but the bullets came to a sudden halt a meter away from Liu Wen, frozen in mid-air as if held by an invisible force.
“What the hell is that?!” The soldier who had fired gasped in horror, his face twisting in disbelief.
Hum!
The turret of the approaching tank swiveled, preparing to blast Liu Wen to pieces.
“Liu Wen, why are you doing this? This is the Nanming Kingdom! Are you really going to throw away the family you spent your entire life building?” Zhuge Ming's face flickered with a mix of anger and uncertainty.
Liu Wen spread his arms, a sinister grin spreading across his face. “Zhuge Ming, my Liu family has long outgrown a small place like Ningcheng. For the birth of the Earth Mother, the Liu family has wagered everything!”
His eyes suddenly erupted with a blinding red light, and a powerful wave of spiritual energy radiated forward along with it.
Hum!
The military camp lit up as more than half of the base was enveloped by the red light. Not even concrete walls or solid steel could block its penetration.
Unlike the bloody brutality of the Butcher, spiritual attacks were silent, capable of claiming lives without spilling a single drop of blood.
