Ning Busan cautiously asked, “Brothers, what on earth do you want to do?”
Rationality was concise. “We want a home!”
Ning Busan nodded like a chicken pecking at grain. “Fine, fine, fine. I'll support you!”
Rationality paused slightly.
Instead of trying to figure out how to shake off trouble, he actively kept them by his side. Ning Busan's reaction... was very strange.
“But we need to lay down some ground rules,” Ning Busan said. “You can't just go outside whenever you want, you can't interfere with my life, and you absolutely cannot use my name to run scams!”
Rationality nodded. “No problem.”
Ning Busan looked at Divinity.
Divinity condescended to utter his first word since entering: “Mm.”
Ning Busan tucked his hands into his sleeves, looking honest and harmless as he flashed them a bright smile.
Rationality's brow furrowed slightly in thought.
Ning Busan quickly arranged rooms for the two of them. Seeing that they didn't know how to use the household appliances, he enthusiastically introduced them.
Divinity stared at Ning Busan the entire time. Finally, with a face full of disappointment, he said, “So this is the real you. Cowardly, timid, afraid of trouble, not even daring to resist. You're even more of a waste than I imagined.”
Ning Busan merely smiled with good temper.
Rationality opened his mouth to speak but ultimately closed it.
If his enemy wanted to seek death, it was already generous of him not to kick him while he was down. Why would he stop him?
Night fell.
Divinity was taking a shower in the bathroom.
Ning Busan leaned against the outside of the bathroom door. Hearing the splashing sound of water inside, his gaze darkened.
He really wanted to make him disappear!
Rationality walked up to Ning Busan. “What are you doing here?”
Ning Busan asked, “How is the relationship between you two?”
“Not great.”
“Then I can rest easy.”
“What do you want to do?”
“What could I possibly do?” Ning Busan said quite innocently. “I was just wondering, if the water heater suddenly exploded, would our dear brother here make it out alive?”
The moment he finished speaking, a booming explosion resounded from the bathroom, followed immediately by thick smoke and flames.
“What's wrong? What happened? Are you okay?”
While anxiously pounding on the door and asking, Ning Busan locked the bathroom door from the outside without the slightest hesitation.
Rationality, who witnessed everything: “...”
Ning Busan shouted, “Hang in there, buddy! I'll find a way to save you right now!”
Then, he fetched a fire extinguisher.
Right at that moment, Divinity kicked the door open and walked out, sporting a battle-damaged look.
“Ning Busan!”
Divinity roared in anger, only to be sprayed right in the face with the fire extinguisher by Ning Busan.
Just as he took a step forward, his foot slipped. His head slammed against the floor, knocking him out cold.
Ning Busan checked his breathing and muttered, “He's still alive after that?”
He looked up at Rationality and raised an eyebrow. “This guy is really hard to kill, don't you think?”
Looking at the mess all over the floor, Rationality fell silent for a few seconds before saying, “I'll clean this up.”
Ning Busan asked, “Won't that be too much trouble for you?”
Rationality said calmly, “A small trouble is better than a big one.”
Ning Busan asked in confusion, “What are you talking about?”
Rationality did not believe this was just a coincidence.
Even if Ning Busan hadn't fully recovered his memories, he had already begun to consciously control this dream.
Rationality did not want to be targeted like Divinity, so he made his stance clear beforehand. “I have no intention of offending you. I hope we can get along amicably.”
Ning Busan raised his eyelids and asked, “What do you need?”
Rationality said, “I need a lot of books. Books that can help me quickly understand this world.”
Ning Busan nodded. “Alright, I'll buy them for you tomorrow.”
...
After two more people joined his household, Ning Busan felt as if he were raising two giant babies.
Rationality had an extremely strong thirst for knowledge. At first, he just quietly read books in his room, which made him incredibly low-maintenance.
But once Rationality mastered the theoretical knowledge, he began dismantling the house.
Smelling something burning, Ning Busan rushed into Rationality's bedroom.
Seeing the outlet completely engulfed in flames, Ning Busan clenched and unclenched his fists, suppressing his anger as he asked, “What did you do?”
Rationality's expression was somewhat blank, seemingly not understanding why such an accident had occurred. “I just wanted to study its structure.”
Seeing Ning Busan's dark expression, he apologized decisively. “I'm sorry, I was wrong.”
With such a good attitude in admitting his mistake, Ning Busan found the torrent of scolding stuck in his throat, unable to come out.
“Wait...” Ning Busan gasped. “Buddy, you didn't even turn off the breaker before going at it with your bare hands? Aren't you afraid of getting electrocuted?”
He pinched the bridge of his nose. “Next time, turn off the breaker before you do your research.”
Rationality nodded. “Understood.”
Ning Busan walked into the living room. Seeing Divinity sitting on the sofa, his gaze darkened.
Although the guy who liked to dismantle things was annoying, this other guy was even more unlikable.
Ning Busan walked up to Divinity and negotiated with him calmly, “Since you're staying here, you should act like a guest. As your landlord, I believe I have the right to order you to do some chores.”
“There are ingredients in the fridge. Tonight's dinner is on you.”
Divinity let out a soft sneer and closed his eyes.
The very next second, the chandelier overhead crashed down.
If he hadn't dodged quickly, his head would have been smashed to pieces.
Ning Busan gasped. “Oh my god! Are you okay?”
“Enough! I'll cook!” Divinity's brow furrowed deeply as he reluctantly walked into the kitchen.
Even though Ning Busan acted very politely in front of him, the moment he showed even the slightest disobedience, he would immediately meet with all kinds of accidents.
He was completely under Ning Busan's thumb.
However, Ning Busan had also run into a bit of trouble.
He had already taken a week off. If he didn't go to the office soon, it would look really bad.
Just as Ning Busan was worrying, Rationality asked understandingly, “Do you need me to go to work in your place?”
Ning Busan sneered repeatedly. “First you go to work in my place, then you integrate into my social circle, and finally, you completely replace me. Is that what you're planning?”
Rationality: “...”
You are so dramatic!
Belatedly realizing something, Divinity poked his head out of the kitchen and asked Ning Busan with a resentful tone, “Why do I have to cook while he doesn't have to do anything?”
Ning Busan said with a smile, “An elder brother is like a father. You have the duty to take care of us.”
Divinity sneered, “You make it sound as if the two of you are still minors.”
Very well. This only strengthened his resolve to not let Ning Busan wake up.
Even in a mere dream, he had already become the target of exclusion.
If Ning Busan were to wake up, these two guys would definitely team up against him.
...
Ning Busan went to work.
Before leaving, he locked all the doors and windows.
Divinity frowned. “He purposely locked the two of us inside. Don't you find it strange?”
Rationality casually brushed him off, “The two of us look exactly like him. He's not an idiot; there's no way he'd just let us wander outside.”
Before Divinity could speak, Rationality ordered, “I'm conducting an experiment. If you have nothing to do, come and help.”
Divinity didn't budge. “You are the one who wants to find the anchor, not me.”
“You entered with your main body, so if you're trapped in this dream, you really won't be able to leave. But I didn't.”
“Before you find your so-called anchor and before you leave Ning Busan's dream, I will completely destroy the Landia Continent.”
Rationality said flatly, “Put away your sense of superiority and get to work.”
“If I do something bad and frame you for it, do you think Ning Busan will believe me or you?”
Divinity: “...”
