However, what excited Xia Jin was that after this week, her production of standard energy had reached 200 million units a day.
Daily zergling production reached 160,000, while other types of bugs were just under 40,000.
As for scourge production, Xia Jin increased it to an exaggerated 400,000 per day.
The Dawn Empire's air combat had already become quite difficult, and as both sides' air forces were consumed, air superiority gradually fell into Xia Jin's hands.
She looked at the current battlefield situation; the ground battles were still very strained.
Consequently, Xia Jin shifted her production focus to Armored Heavy Cannon Bugs. Although this reduced the production volume of some infestors, lurkers, and even zerglings and hydralisks, it allowed the daily output of this type of bug to reach 600.
Facing the thousands of tanks on the Empire's front lines, the Swarm finally had a meager ability to cope.
After a large number of Armored Heavy Cannon Bugs were deployed to the front, both sides engaged in a fierce armored warfare across the land. Cannon muzzles belched fury as they constantly attacked and defended on the vast plains under the cover of other troops.
“I have 1.2 million main combat bugs on the front line and another 500,000 in the rear. Once the enemies on the West Line are annihilated, it will be time for me to launch a large-scale counterattack.”
Overlooking the entire battlefield, Xia Jin reached a rough decision in her heart.
These three days were undoubtedly the most grueling. With five million Imperial troops pressing in, the Swarm in the East and Central Lines could be described as retreating steadily.
Compared to before, the bugs on these two defense lines were actually weaker, totaling only about 300,000 to 400,000 so far.
A day later, the enemies on the West Line also began to enter the Mia region.
The 30,000 bugs stationed there engaged the enemy in a major battle, losing over 14,000 in half a day and retreating 20 kilometers.
But soon, the main force of the Swarm arrived.
The 50,000 bugs from Primitive Tribe Island were the first to launch a landing operation on the coast.
Less than ten minutes later, 800,000 bugs launched a pincer attack from the northwest, north, and east. A force consisting of 8,000 unicycles, 400 rocket launch vehicles, 500 Armored Heavy Cannon Bugs, and 300 heavy cannon bugs, supported by over 200,000 scourges, launched a fierce assault on the enemy.
For this wave, the Zerg concentrated at least 200,000 scourges in the air.
On the ground, they concentrated 200 ultralisks into the fray.
This wave basically utilized the very best of her forces.
Under the overwhelming fire suppression, all twenty-eight legions responsible for the offensive felt the terrifying wrath of the Zerg.
Less than three hours after the counterattack began, a magical communication had already been sent to the palace.
Only then did the Empire's high command realize that the Zerg had concentrated the majority of their forces in Novien, intending to use superior strength to annihilate the Dawn Empire troops here in one fell swoop.
Although Novien had nearly 800,000 regular army troops, these forces hadn't even been able to defeat the former Kingdom of Clear. Although they were now equipped with many of the Empire's outdated models of weapons, dealing with the Zerg was still very difficult for them.
Regardless, the Empire's total forces in this area still exceeded one million.
“Even this cannot stop the enemy's attack?”
When the Emperor himself learned of the battle on the West Line, he truly found it hard to believe.
Even if the strength deployed to the West Line wasn't much, there were still 500,000 main troops. Combined with Novien's 800,000 men, this scale should have been enough to steamroll through, right?
The Zerg were actually able to concentrate so many troops in this direction while maintaining resistance on the other two lines.
Specifically, 500 Armored Heavy Cannon Bugs appeared collectively in the Dawn Empire's key offensive areas, where over a thousand heavy units from both sides engaged in a massive battle.
The Dawn Empire had successively deployed 8,000 fortress vehicles (tanks), sixteen times the number of the Zerg's Armored Heavy Cannon Bugs. However, most of them were light models only useful against ordinary bugs; only fewer than 1,200 could truly fight the Armored Heavy Cannon Bugs.
Logically, these 1,200 should have been able to defeat the Zerg, but when the actual fighting began, the Imperial armored vehicles also had to face other threats that could jeopardize them.
Such as banelings, and mutalisks.
While the Zerg's 200,000 scourges seized air superiority, another 1,000 mutalisks joined the battle, choosing to provide ground support from high altitudes.
Out of necessity, the Dawn Empire's rear dispatched over 20,000 magic planes to engage the Swarm.
In one particular engagement, thirty airships actually managed to fly over the Swarm's heads and drop a wave of magic bombs while the Zerg's defenses were incomplete, causing the Zerg to lose over a thousand bugs.
But no matter how one looked at it, the Zerg's preparations here were too thorough.
Even though the deployment of such a large number of rockets was still inferior to the Empire's firepower, a massive pocket was still sealed in a very short time under the conditions of a formed encirclement and air superiority.
Two days later, the massive encirclement took shape, and almost all the West Line troops were trapped by the sea.
The Dawn Empire's fleet attempted to come and support them, but they unfortunately encountered an attack from the Sea Race.
