One lurker was fortunate enough to reach land; it immediately burrowed into the ground, and after two seconds of preparation, it suddenly released a series of sharp earth spikes.

Vincent's eyes widened as he witnessed two zerglings each charge into a phalanx, knocking aside every human soldier in their path.
Yes, a single zergling.
That terrifying creature, by its own power alone, had forcibly smashed through a shield wall composed of dozens of men.
The horrific beast trampled over fifteen to twenty soldiers, its scythe blades swinging continuously. The wretched warriors didn't even have time to react before they were struck dead.
“What on earth are these things? Why are these on the sea?”
The ships were one thing, but the creatures clinging to them were pure monsters.
Several soldiers stood frozen in bewilderment.
As the first wave of the Swarm made landfall, the second wave followed immediately behind.
Larger vessels began to approach the beach, and the number of insects leaping from them was staggering.
The operation was exceptionally efficient; under the control of the jet-propulsion bugs, the boats moved in and out. Between the ranged and melee units, over 1,000 zerglings had reached the shore in less than a minute.
Once the first wave initiated the charge, everything that followed became much easier.
Air superiority was entirely under the control of the Swarm. The scourges did not just attack this port city; they pushed deep inland, beginning their strikes from a distance.
By the time the number of insects crawling onto the land reached over 3,000, the city had completely lost its ability to resist.
A Zerg Hive began to gestate on the site.
Xia Jin's current plan was simple: she only needed to upgrade it to Tier 4 to breed basic units to support the main force's attack. At that level, she would also have queens and drones to collect massive amounts of resources and spread the creep.
As long as resources could be gathered here, this hive could be upgraded rapidly.
In reality, the scale of this landing force was as high as 90,000 insects, 80,000 of which were zerglings.

At an open-air banquet plaza, many noble ladies were offering toasts and enjoying the dancing, all appearing to be in high spirits.
However, at this moment, the few noble ministers who had received news from the front were filled with deep anxiety.
Many of them could hardly believe the intelligence they had obtained.
“Three provinces fell in a single night, and there’s no word from the 120,000 men of the main legion?”
His Majesty the King felt as though he were dreaming when he saw the report.
How could such a thing happen?
“Could it be the Yelu Empire?”

You should know that several pieces of intelligence we've recently acquired show that the Dawn Empire still has to contend with other forces on their own continent.”

The King set down his wine, turned, and left the banquet hall.
As he entered the inner palace, a messenger ran in quickly.
“Your Majesty, a magical communication from the front!”
The soldier knelt respectfully. A nearby minister immediately took the item and handed it to the King.
As he opened it, his expression changed instantly.
A quarter of the national territory was lost.
And that was news from twenty minutes ago.
“How many troops can we mobilize?” he turned and asked the General.
“We have 200,000 men who can move in a short time. More will require conscripts.”
“Take action. The frontline legions have already had several brutal battles with these invading monsters; their advancement speed shouldn't be that fast from here on. We must seize the time.”
“Yes!”
The ministers departed.
However, these people did not know that a mosquito had flown nearby, witnessing the entire conversation.

“The advancement speed won't be that fast... Hmph, quite confident.”
With so many insects, it had taken Xia Jin five hours just to get them all ashore.
The force that had flattened a third of the Mis Kingdom was only slightly more than half of the total Swarm. Their total losses from start to finish were only 6,000, yet they had annihilated over 150,000 of the enemy's combat forces, including elite units.
They were far inferior to the Kingdom of Clear.
