The 3rd Legion commander swallowed hard.

A Tier 8 warrior actually couldn't defeat an ultralisk.

The defense line was completely torn open.

Several hydralisks suddenly reached the top of the wall and fired their spines at the exhausted city defense officer.

After several waves of attacks, the warrior standing on the front line finally lost his life.

At this point, the catapults moved forward a kilometer, and hundreds of banelings were lobbed into the city.

Griffins fell from the sky every second. Clearly, with the arrival of another wave of scourges, the griffin legion—fearful of its mounting losses—could no longer hold out.

Xia Jin switched back to her first-produced ultralisk as her mount. Led by it, she followed the surging insects into the city.

In the outer city area, the swarm had already seized a section of the southern wall approximately 260 meters long.

Beyond that 260-meter mark, the Kingdom's main force still held the defense line firmly.

Intermittent magic artillery fire caused staggering losses among the attacking insects.

Even the ultralisks were not immune; five were quickly focused down and killed.

“They're so large and powerful that they're bound to be targeted. It's unavoidable.”

She had deployed 200,000 main swarm units, with 40,000 of the two suicide types sacrificed alone.

Zergling losses had exceeded 26,000.

The locusts mixed into the swarm to draw fire and reduce density had been whittled down by 150,000... though most of those were Tier 1. The new Tier 2 locusts were still in the rear and hadn't been deployed yet.

The combined losses of all other insect types barely reached 8,000.

Seeing that they had just entered the city and were still facing suppression from multiple directions, Xia Jin continued to upgrade her insects in batches.

Since production took time, she directly moved 400 swarm hosts to within 10 kilometers of the battlefield to provide a steady supply of Tier 2 locusts.

By a simple calculation, they could replenish 192,000 per day.

Since the new locusts had been upgraded from Tier 1 to Tier 2, their effectiveness would certainly be much higher.
