The stalactites on the mine's ceiling were completely shattered, their sharp, broken edges embedded with dark red fire element mana crystal fragments. Lava flowing from the crystal surfaces snaked down the rock walls, pooling into shallow magma gullies on the ground.
Fragments of Qiao's crystalline armor were embedded all over the cave walls, each piece glowing with a searing red light, causing the surrounding rock to soften from the high temperature.
The fire mana crystal vein was covered in claw marks and impact craters, most of it already cracked. The overflowing fire element energy sizzled in the air, making the temperature in the cave terrifyingly high as waves of heat rolled through.
On the other side, the scene was entirely different.
The ice ridges frozen onto the cave walls by star power had not yet melted, forming a stark contrast of hot and cold against the magma on the rock walls. Thin frost flowers condensed on the edges of the ice ridges, yet they continuously dripped water under the roasting heat of the fire elements, sending up fine plumes of white steam as they hit the ground.
At the edge of the deep pit smashed out by the dragon tail, star silver crystals and fire mana crystal fragments were mixed together, with tiny sparks occasionally bursting from the collision of their crystalline lights.
The main vein deep within the mine had been torn apart by the power of the two giant beasts. On the exposed fire mana crystal vein, flame patterns and star-trail-like cracks intertwined. Lava bubbled from the broken vein, and the pungent smell of sulfur made Jonavili wrinkle her nose, though it made Furiel feel comfortable.
The two culprits of all this were both panting heavily, staring warily at each other.
Qiao's dragon tail, which was covered in crimson crystalline armor, had been severed, and the wound was covered in ice crystals, emitting wisps of cold air.
Meanwhile, the crystalline scales he was so proud of were shattered and cracked, every single one covered in frost and ice crystals without exception.
Mofana's condition on the other side was even worse; her entire right claw was gone, and the wound was encrusted with frost, appearing to be a hasty method of stopping the bleeding.
One of the dragon horns on Mofana's head was also broken, and her dragon tail was severed from the base. The entire dragon looked wretched, like a flickering candle in the wind.
"Qiao, there is no point in saying more now. I already gave you a chance."
A trace of fear and alarm flashed in the eyes of the molten crystal-armored dragon lizard, but it was followed by immense fury.
"Fuck! You really are a damn lunatic."
With those words, Qiao prepared to leave first. After all, Qiao felt that throwing his life away for nothing was too great a loss.
But how could Mofana let him have his way? She immediately opened her draconic snout, and a cold Star Silver Breath began to charge.
Qiao turned back hastily, roaring with extreme restraint.
"I advise you not to push this too far. If that breath comes my way, I will absolutely bite your neck off!"
Hearing this, Mofana hesitated for a second, but what remained was determination.
This guy was always harassing her time and time again, constantly teasing her with his boring, twisted sense of humor and lewd talk. Combined with what happened this time, she was completely fed up.
One must understand that even women have a hardened side!
"When patience reaches its limit, there is no more need for restraint!!"
Just as a new round of combat was about to begin, the sound of leisurely, joking conversation reached the ears of the two dragons.
"If these two were used as mounts, I think they'd look pretty majestic. What do you think, Furiel?"
"Feels pretty good. I want the red one."
Qiao and Mofana instantly whipped their dragon heads around, glaring fiercely at the two dragons who were speaking. They found the two true dragons currently critiquing them, even thinking about taking them as mounts!
Although they were not of the Dragon race, they believed that with their own status, they would absolutely never become someone's mount even if they died!
Immediately, the Star Silver Breath contained in Mofana's mouth blasted out, shooting toward Jonavili. This strike was her full power!
In the instant before it hit the two dragons, Jonavili slightly parted her draconic snout.
"[Chrono Lock]."
Tick-tock!
An ice-blue clock face rapidly expanded. The breath that was about to hit froze in mid-air, as if locked in place by some powerful force.
Witnessing this, the two dragons widened their eyes.
"What power is this? A spatial lock?"
Such shocked gazes were very satisfying to Jonavili, and her savage white dragon head lifted slightly.
Beside her, Furiel's lip twitched.
'Fuck! This girl actually managed to pull off a pose.'
But in the next second, a crisp cracking sound rang out, echoing particularly sharply in the hollow underground.
Jonavili's expression froze. Before she could even react, the time stop suddenly shattered, and the terrifying breath ray surged toward Jonavili.
Furiel was quick with her eyes and claws, immediately using [Spatial Flicker] to take Jonavili and flee from the spot.
Boom!!
The Star Silver Breath struck the cave wall, creating an explosion that demolished half of the stone wall.
Jonavili looked at the collapsed stone wall with lingering fear.
Thoughts raced through her mind in an instant.
Even though that was a [Chrono Lock] she had cast casually, why was it broken so easily? Could her attack intensity have already exceeded the threshold that this level of [Chrono Lock] could withstand?
No, that's not right. It was that faint star power! If it were just a frost breath of this intensity, it could never break through the shackles of time! Only that incredibly potent star power could possibly break it.
Thinking of this, Jonavili calmed down again. She had just been careless a moment ago, but next time...
She looked at the slightly smug Mofana and Qiao, a chill radiating from her dragon face.
"I thought you had the strength to talk big, but the result... tsk tsk tsk."
Qiao's sharp tongue remained merciless. Furiel flew into a rage on the spot, preparing to rush forward to fight him, but she was stopped by Jonavili.
"Hehehe, since you two are so powerful, do you dare to make a bet with us? Under the witness of the God of Contracts."
Mofana frowned, just about to refuse, when Qiao nearby beat her to it, speaking with a hint of interest.
"Of course. I'm interested in playing along. Tell me, what is this bet?"
Seeing the dragon take the bait, Jonavili's draconic snout split into a wide grin.
"It's simple. The two of us will fight the two of you right now. Whoever wins becomes the master of the other side. No rules barred. Do you dare?"
Hearing this, even Qiao hesitated. If he were in his peak state, he was confident he could hang these two dragons up and use them as punching bags, but his and Mofana's current state... it was honestly a bit too wretched.
Seeing Qiao hesitate, Jonavili's expression and tone became contemptuous.
"Tsk tsk tsk. What a disgrace to the dragon race. You don't even dare to play? You should know, both this little beauty beside me and I only have the strength of the Silver tier, while you two are living Platinum tier combatants.
Even you! Molten crystal-armored dragon lizard, you have already faintly touched the threshold of Diamond. I didn't expect you to be so spineless."
Qiao felt like he had lost face upon hearing this. Just as he was about to accept, he was stopped by Mofana beside him.
There was no choice. Although these two true dragons were weak, the abilities they had displayed were too strange; she had to be wary.
"Why should we agree to your terms? Although your provocation makes me very unhappy, in my eyes, it is nothing more than the weak challenging the strong."
Furiel felt her claws itching, wanting to properly teach this arrogant bastard a lesson.
