The silver-white dragon tail swept past, lifting Furiel's head until their eyes met, Jonavili's maw curling slightly.
"My dear Furiel, I don't think our relationship needs to be so stiff. After all, I'm quite fond of you."
Such a gold-medal enforcer... Jonavili did not say the latter part out loud, instead quietly watching Furiel.
Furiel frowned. To be honest, she did not truly dislike Jonavili; otherwise, she would have driven this white dragon away five years ago.
"What do you mean?"
"I believe we can cooperate. With a powerful alliance, unifying the entire Jesup Continent will no longer be a mere fantasy."
Furiel was amused by Jonavili's arrogant words.
"Pfft—should I expect anything less from a white dragon? Still indulging in such unrealistic fantasies."
One had to realize that the strength of the half-orcs in the north and the Monster Kingdom in the south was by no means low.
Furthermore, even if they could defeat them, what about the rest? Would the Eastern Supercontinent across the Sea of Silence or the Western Ichia Continent across the Sun-Chasing Sea simply stand by and watch?
Jonavili did not argue. Instead, she brought her dragon head close and whispered.
"I know you've also awakened a special talent. I could tell from the way you suddenly appeared behind me."
Furiel's expression remained unchanged.
"So...? What exactly are you trying to say?"
"Time. I can master the power of time. Thinking about it, there is a high probability that what you have awakened is space."
The crimson vertical pupils dilated to their limit. She could not believe that Jonavili would reveal her awakened power so bluntly, nor did she want to believe that the other could awaken a power that even the gods had not mastered.
While space was powerful and unique, those capable of using it were merely rare.
There were also plenty of space-related magic items, such as spatial rings, teleportation scrolls, and spatial gates.
But time was different. According to the records in her draconic inheritance, only the legendary time dragon possessed it innately, along with a few extremely rare individual races.
She never expected that this silver-white half-blood could awaken a power as formidable as time.
Compared to Furiel's shock, Jonavili appeared much calmer.
She was not afraid that Furiel would spread the word, because no one would believe such an absurd claim. Even if Furiel became her enemy later, she was not afraid; this was absolute confidence in her own strength.
The reason for revealing this powerful talent was to show her sincerity on one hand, and to act as a deterrent on the other. With records regarding time being so scarce, Furiel would certainly not dare to act rashly against such an eerie ability.
Furiel soon calmed down. As a dragon, she had the capacity to accept such things.
"As you thought, I have awakened the power of space. As for anything else, I have nothing to say for now."
The curl of Jonavili's maw widened.
It worked!
She released her suppression of Furiel and moved off her. Once the weight was gone, Furiel quickly stood up, but she was stopped by Jonavili's voice just as she was about to leave.
"Please wait, my dear Furiel. You seem to have forgotten one very important thing."
Furiel looked at her impatiently, signaling her to speak quickly and stop playing games.
"A total of six silver coins and thirteen copper coins."
As soon as the words fell, the crimson dragon eyes narrowed into thin lines, and Furiel immediately tried to bolt.
But having anticipated this, Jonavili acted first and pinned her down.
"As a powerful red dragon, surely you aren't planning to welsh on a bet?"
Furiel remained stubborn.
"Who is? I... I just... I just wanted to help you carry them. Why are you reacting so strongly?"
Jonavili grinned and spread her perception to investigate.
Hm... not a single one more or less, the count was exactly right.
Jonavili knew the nature of a red dragon all too well; getting her to hand them over willingly was impossible, so...
"[Chrono Surge]."
Jonavili drained the remaining mana in her body to use time acceleration. Before Furiel could react, Jonavili quickly retrieved her treasure from between the red dragon's scales.
By the moment her mana was exhausted, Jonavili had already pulled out the last copper coin.
Feeling the items tucked in her scales vanish, Furiel was about to explode with rage when Jonavili threw cold water on her fire.
"What? You want to go back on your word?"
The crimson eyes narrowed into slits, and after a moment, Furiel let out a cold snort.
"Hmph! Just you wait."
After glaring fiercely at Jonavili, she departed the area.
She needed to hunt. She hadn't filled her stomach since waking up, and this was the perfect chance to vent the fury in her chest.
Jonavili did not stop her. Watching Furiel's retreating back, she turned and flew toward the city established in the Sleeping Forest.
Her forty-meter wingspan was the definition of majestic in flight, and the silver-white patterns on her wing membranes added a touch of nobility and elegance.
Jonavili landed outside the city, where a crowd of monster subordinates knelt before her.
"Greetings, Great Master! We are here to celebrate your awakening!"
Looking at the white-scaled goblins and frost kobolds, whose numbers had increased several times over, Jonavili nodded in satisfaction.
At that moment, little Fanni flew happily to the front of Jonavili.
"Jonavili, you're finally awake! I thought you were going to sleep for a lifetime."
Jonavili's maw curled slightly.
"Fanni, you've done well."
Just then, a rustling sound approached.
Jonavili turned her head and saw the little brat, Gris.
Caught by Jonavili's gaze, Gris scratched the back of his head and gave a sheepish smile.
"Big sis, how did you become so badass? It's just like you said before... that... what was it?"
Gris had seen Furiel standing motionless earlier, but he hadn't suspected anything, assuming Jonavili had simply awakened a special talent related to binding. He had those kinds of talents too.
Jonavili looked him up and down. Aside from growing a bit larger and having shinier scales, Gris hadn't changed much.
More importantly, it seemed that after this slumber, Gris had become even more of a dork.
After spending a few months together, Gris had been infected by the chuunibyou things she said, but now...
"Oh! Right! Treading upon auspicious clouds on the path to heaven, remember my name is Zhongba!"
Although Gris didn't understand what it meant, he thought it sounded pretty domineering to recite.
"Alright, stop being a dork. Aren't you hungry?"
"Hehehe, I am actually pretty hungry."
Jonavili's form flickered and transformed into her little dragon girl appearance.
"Xiao Shunzi, I require food. A large amount of food."
"Yes! Master!"
Xiao Shunzi hurried away, leading a large number of frost kobolds to prepare the meal.
Subsequently, Jonavili walked toward the interior of the mid-sized city, with the monsters and subordinates following behind her.
Gris was about to step forward to follow, but Jonavili turned and gave him a look.
"Your size is too large. You can only enter once you've learned a transformation spell."
Gris froze, hesitated for a moment, and then honestly lay down, closing his eyes to sink his consciousness into his mental sea.
There was nothing he could do; he didn't dare defy this white dragon who was clearly using cheat codes.
Not long after Jonavili had been looking around, Xiao Shunzi led a group of frost kobolds to her, bringing cooked food with them.
Jonavili looked at them with slight surprise. She hadn't expected these guys to know how to roast meat. Normally, kobolds were quite photophobic and feared fire, which was why Jonavili was slightly impressed.
Jonavili used ice magic to condense a stool and a long table made of frost, ordering the kobolds to set the food upon it.
