About some of the characters:
Many adventurers appeared in this volume. Aside from helping me pad the word count (just kidding), their main purpose is to fill out the ecological niche.
In the previous plot, most of the characters who appeared were knights (though there were two Named Knights among the adventurers), which made the Adventurer's Guild feel non-existent. So, I introduced a large group of people.
If they serve any other purpose, it's probably to lay the groundwork for the Shibuya Incident, the Culling Game, and the Shinjuku Showdown.
Yes, kids, we still have the Jujutsu Kaisen trio ()
But I won't actually write it like Jujutsu Kaisen; it's just that the plot might give off a similar sense of déjà vu.
All in all, these characters are not one-off extras, and they all have somewhat unique settings, so they won't be discarded immediately.
About the Lion Knight, Aure:
Since he wasn't copied by the Black Tide, he didn't have much screenplay in this volume.
However, as for why he wasn't copied, there is actually a reason.
This will be revealed in future chapters.
About Beast Mask and Remains:
A bizarre, comedic duo where 1+1=1.
Their capabilities as main mages are highly competent; one excels in crowd control and AOE, while the other excels in support.
But put them together, and they become a pair of star-crossed lovers.
About Dinoman:
Out of all the adventurers, I think he's the bro with the highest style points and coolest design, and his overall strength is also quite respectable.
It's a pity he didn't get to show everyone his Velociraptor and Mosasaur forms, but I believe there will be opportunities in the future.
About the Beluga Hunter, Eli:
His prototype is Ahab, but his personality leans more toward Queequeg.
His close-combat strength is not to be underestimated; he once used a harpoon gun to bash and kill a demon of the same rank in close quarters.
Unfortunately, he was instantly defeated by Big Sis Yat's flying kick.
Due to the covenant, his Beluga Familiar can only use its abilities to assist in combat. Directly summoning its true body to fight requires consuming additional items.
But the puppet didn't bring that item, which is truly a pity.
About the Azure Knight, Jovian:
One of the god-tier members from my PvP guild; his setting has been heavily modified.
The dragonkin transformation was originally a setting from Kamen Rider, but I haven't watched much of the series (only a few of them). Since our world happens to have dragonkin, I localized and adapted it.
Among the characters introduced in this volume, he is the strongest adventurer besides Dinoman and Yat, on par with Aure.
About Yat:
I wonder what everyone's impression of Yat is. Personally, I quite like this free-spirited and hearty big sister.
Also, if you're interested, you can try guessing what character her third block is.
