She looked around her surroundings.
Compared to when she had left last time, the shattered realm was noticeably much tidier.
The clutter around the main hall had been completely cleared away, and the spirit plants and spirit herbs in the Spirit Fields had been sorted and planted in neat, orderly rows.
Even the area around the Temporary Storeroom was no longer as empty and chaotic as before.
Yun Heng nodded with satisfaction.
“You’ve managed things well.”
Yun Che bowed his head, his tone respectful as ever.
“Thank you for the praise, Young Lord. This is merely my duty.”
Yun Heng wasted no time on idle chatter.
First, she pulled out forty cards and selected two Building Cards from among them.
【Three-Star Building Card: Large Alchemy Room.】
【Three-Star Building Card: Large Refining Workshop.】
Yun Heng chose two empty plots of land near the main hall and used both Building Cards.
The two cards flew from her hand, transforming into two beams of light that shot toward the open ground.
Immediately after, a gentle tremor vibrated through the earth.
Countless specks of spiritual light converged, gradually revealing two large structures from within the glow.
On the left was the Large Alchemy Room. The building was reddish-brown, its interior divided into multiple independent alchemy chambers. Each chamber was furnished with an alchemy furnace, and beneath the floor were complete fire-control arrays and Spirit-Gathering Arrays.
On the right stood the Large Refining Workshop.
The refining workshop covered a vast area. Its interior housed not only multiple refining furnaces, but also dedicated quenching pools for spiritual artifacts, along with designated areas for storing and processing refining materials.
Once the two structures fully materialized, the trembling ground settled back into stillness.
Yun Heng looked toward Yun Che and Xuan Zheng.
“From now on, this is where the refiners and alchemists will work. You may use everything inside as needed.”
“Yes, Young Lord.”
Yun Che and Xuan Zheng responded in unison.
Xuan Zheng looked at the Large Refining Workshop before him, a visible touch of pleasant surprise gleaming in his eyes.
Yun Heng then took out all the Character Cards.
First, she summoned all one hundred Grade Two Refiners and one hundred Golden Armored Guards.
Beams of light descended one after another, and in the blink of an eye, the previously open area in front of the main hall became packed with people.
Next, Yun Heng used the Character Card for the alchemist Xuan Heng, along with the remaining one hundred Grade Two Alchemist Character Cards.
Another flash of light swept across the ground.
A female cultivator wearing a blue-and-white dress materialized before everyone.
She had a slender figure and refined features, her black hair loosely held up with a simple white jade hairpin. Her dress bore no excessive ornaments, save for delicate pill patterns embroidered along the cuffs and hemline.
Her demeanor was gentle and serene, carrying a subtle fragrance of medicinal herbs.
This was none other than the Grade Ten Alchemist summoned by the Four-Star Character Card—Xuan Heng.
As soon as Xuan Heng appeared, she immediately stepped up to Yun Heng and knelt on one knee.
“Xuan Heng greets the Young Lord.”
Behind her, the one hundred Grade Two Alchemists, along with the other one hundred Grade Two Refiners, all dropped to their knees as well.
“Greetings, Young Lord!”
Looking at the hundreds of people who had suddenly appeared before her, Yun Heng couldn't help but marvel.
The shattered realm had felt somewhat spacious earlier, but with so many people standing together, it instantly became crowded.
She motioned for everyone to rise, then called Xuan Heng and Xuan Zheng over to her side.
“Xuan Heng, from now on, you and Xuan Zheng will oversee alchemy and artifact refining respectively.”
“These one hundred Grade Two Alchemists will be under your command, while the other one hundred Grade Two Refiners will report to Xuan Zheng.”
Xuan Heng and Xuan Zheng replied in unison:
“Subordinates obey.”
Having arranged the personnel, Yun Heng withdrew all the basic supplies drawn this time.
Daily ingredients, spirit grain and crop seeds, clothing, footwear, bedding, low-grade storage bags, jade boxes, pill bottles, storeroom shelves, clan daily utensils, common spirit herb seeds, common refining materials, and common alchemy materials appeared box after box on the open ground in front of the main hall.
Though the quality of these supplies was not high, the quantity was astonishing.
In just a moment, the stacked crates occupied nearly the entire open space.
Yun Heng turned her gaze to Yun Che.
“You are responsible for organizing these items. Sort and store them all into the storeroom.”
“Hand the refining materials and alchemy materials over to Xuan Zheng and Xuan Heng respectively. They may access them whenever needed without needing to report to me each time.”
Yun Che cupped his hands in acknowledgment.
“Yes, Young Lord. I will arrange hands to organize them as soon as possible.”
Looking at the piles of refining materials to the side, and then over at the newly materialized Large Refining Workshop, Xuan Zheng could hardly conceal the joy on his face.
Since entering the shattered realm, he had hardly forged any spiritual artifacts.
Although some materials were stored in the shattered realm, there were no proper refining tools. Even as a Grade Ten Refiner, he couldn't forge materials into spiritual artifacts out of thin air—one cannot make bricks without straw.
Now, not only did he have a fully equipped Large Refining Workshop, but also one hundred Grade Two Refiners to help process materials and forge low-grade spiritual artifacts. He could finally put his true skills to use.
In the future, he could personally forge any spiritual artifacts Yun Heng needed.
As for ordinary spiritual artifacts that were lower grade and in higher demand, he could assign them to the Grade Two Refiners under him for mass production, taking a great deal of pressure off his shoulders.
Suppressing his excitement, Xuan Zheng cupped his hands solemnly:
“Rest assured, Young Lord. I will definitely manage the refining workshop well.”
Xuan Heng added:
“I will also arrange the alchemy room and alchemists as quickly as possible.”
Yun Heng nodded, then took out the Ordinary Spirit Soil she had drawn.
She laid out the soil on the open land near the main hall, joining the remainder to the original ten mu of Spirit Fields, expanding the area capable of cultivating spirit plants and crops.
Yun Heng still didn't know exactly how vast the shattered realm was.
Many places here were still shrouded in grey mist; only as the shattered realm was gradually restored would more areas be revealed.
For now, she could only lay down as much spirit soil as she drew, slowly expanding the usable land.
Having finished all this, Yun Heng said to Yun Che:
“Have the Green-Clad Attendants continue tending to the Spirit Fields. Get the newly acquired spirit grain, food crops, and spirit herb seeds planted as soon as possible as well.”
“Understood.”
Yun Che bowed respectfully.
The others echoed in unison:
“We obey the Young Lord's command.”
Everything that needed to be arranged had been settled.
Yun Heng reviewed everything in her mind, and seeing no oversights, prepared to leave the shattered realm.
Just then, Yun Che called out to her from behind.
“Young Lord.”
Yun Heng paused and turned back around.
“What is it?”
Yun Che hesitated, an apologetic look appearing on his face.
“Young Lord, while the shattered realm now has basic supplies and no shortage of clothes and bedding, it’s just...”
He cast a glance at the growing crowd around them.
“We currently lack sufficient living quarters, as well as communal clan facilities such as a dining hall, a deliberation hall, and a martial training ground.”
“Could you perhaps bring us these buildings the next time you enter?”
Hearing this, Yun Heng stood there completely dumbfounded.
Living quarters?
She suddenly realized that she had completely forgotten about this matter.
She had been so focused on celebrating her haul of basic supplies that she hadn't given any thought to where all these people were supposed to live.
They had clothes, footwear, and bedding, but without houses, where were they supposed to set them up?
There were now a full three hundred extra people in the shattered realm.
Had they really been sitting in meditation on the bare ground to rest all this time?
And then there was the matter of food.
When there were only a few of them, Inedia Pills had sufficed. Now that there were so many people in the shattered realm, they couldn't possibly be expected to eat Inedia Pills every day.
A dining hall truly was indispensable.
