Yun Heng stared at the row of cards, her mind going completely blank.
Before she could examine them closely, the first card suddenly turned into a beam of light and flew straight toward the broken jade suspended in midair.
Yun Heng instinctively reached out, but her hand passed through nothing more than a dispersing haze of light and shadow.
The moment the Realm-Heart Alignment Platform sank into the broken jade, a blinding radiance burst forth.
Yun Heng's chest tightened. She immediately glanced toward the doors and windows, breathing a sigh of relief when she saw the defensive array remained stable.
When she turned back, the broken jade hovering in midair had already transformed.
Its chipped, missing corner was slowly restored as if by an invisible hand, and fine, intricate patterns emerged on its greenish-white jade surface. The old cracks didn't vanish entirely, but they no longer looked broken—instead, they resembled natural cloud motifs embedded deep within the jade.
The light gradually receded.
The jade descended from the air, coming to a rest before Yun Heng.
It no longer looked dull and worn as it once had.
The entire piece was a warm, lustrous greenish-white, its edges glowing with faint moonlight. Deep beneath the surface ran an extraordinarily light golden vein, resembling a tiny river sealed inside the jade. The old cord was gone as well, replaced by a thread of black-gold spiritual silk that wound itself into a fine cord, draping over the jade.
Yun Heng reached out and caught it.
The next instant, new lines of text appeared on the System panel.
【Broken jade repaired.】
【Realm-Heart aligned.】
【Name: Tianheng Jade.】
【Shattered realm seal lifted.】
Yun Heng held the Tianheng Jade, rendered speechless for a long moment.
Tianheng Jade? It sounded like this was what it was meant to be called all along.
Yun Heng stared at the absurdly beautiful greenish-white jade in her palm, then looked back at the System panel.
She had just been worrying over where to put all those previous rewards—the spiritual soil, Realm Stones, and spirit vein seeds—and her very last pull had handed her a place to put them?
It took her a good while to regain her composure before she turned her attention back to the second card of her fifth 10-draw.
【4-Star Event Card: Awakening of the Shattered Realm】
【Upon activation, unlocks the internal domain of the Tianheng Jade, allowing the Host to briefly enter.】
【Use card?】
Yun Heng stared at the words "internal domain," her heart rate gradually quickening.
She suddenly felt a strange sensation, as though she had been holding a door key all along, only now realizing it could actually open a door.
She glanced around the room. The Sound-Isolating Talisman remained active, as did the Breath-Concealing Array Plate.
The doors and windows were tightly shut, and the second floor of Wanbao Tower was completely silent.
Yun Heng tightened her grip on the Tianheng Jade and answered in her mind,
“Use.”
【4-Star Event Card: Awakening of the Shattered Realm used.】
The Tianheng Jade blazed to life.
A circle of greenish-white spiritual light expanded from its surface, enveloping Yun Heng completely.
She felt the ground vanish beneath her feet as her figure vanished silently from the room. White light radiated from the Tianheng Jade, giving her a gentle tugging sensation.
Before she could react, her feet touched solid ground.
A breeze swept past her, carrying a moist, cool chill.
Yun Heng opened her eyes and was greeted by a sea of vast white mist.
The mist flowed slowly from every direction, shrouding the entire space. The distant boundaries were invisible, offering only faint glimpses of rolling contours hidden behind the fog.
She looked down. The grayish-brown ground beneath her feet was flat and empty. There were no plants, no palaces, no people—only vast stretches of empty land extending far into the mist.
The spiritual energy in the air was pure and untainted. Drawing it into her lungs caused her meridians to relax in comfort. There was no sun or moon in the sky, yet a soft light cascaded down, illuminating the mist so it resembled flowing white jade.
Yun Heng took a couple of steps. The dirt beneath her was firm and real, not at all like an illusion.
Just then, the System screen popped up before her.
【Awakening of the Shattered Realm.】
【Current Location: Internal shattered realm of the Tianheng Jade.】
【This area is an independent domain; outside forces cannot pry within.】
【The Host is the sole master of this shattered realm, possessing absolute ownership and control over this domain.】
Yun Heng stared at the lines of text. So she hadn't been teleported to some secret realm—she had stepped directly inside the Tianheng Jade.
A small world actually existed within this jade.
Previously, her public persona as the Young Lord of a secluded clan had relied entirely on Yun Zhao, the Shadow Guards, Xuan Zheng, and items drawn from the System.
To put it plainly, it was all just disguise and pretense.
But now?
Had she actually ended up bringing a real secluded clan setup into reality?
Before the System screen faded, new lines of text quickly surfaced.
【All of the Host's items may be stored within the shattered realm.】
【All drawn cards can be deployed within the shattered realm.】
【The shattered realm's current time flow is identical to the outside world.】
【Additional areas are currently locked.】
Vast as this place was, there was nothing here at the moment. Empty land, mist, and spiritual energy—beyond that, nothing else could be seen.
Then again, given that it was called a shattered realm, having such a large tract of land was already impressive enough.
Yun Heng suddenly remembered the cards she had drawn during her final 10-draw.
Earlier, she had been so shocked by the repair of the Tianheng Jade that she had almost forgotten about the remaining cards.
Yun Heng raised her hand to bring up the System panel. Ten cards floated quietly within the screen.
【4-Star Building Card: Ruined Base of the Guiyuan Main Hall】
The corner of Yun Heng's mouth twitched slightly. As the name suggested, it was still damaged. However, the Tianheng Jade had only just been repaired, and this shattered realm was newly opened.
Damaged or not, so long as it worked, she could repair it later.
Yun Heng reached out and tapped the card.
The card turned into a speck of light that settled on her fingertip.
The next instant, a miniature projection of a main hall floated into view.
The phantom image was only palm-sized as it floated before her, yet its outline was crisp and clear. A high platform, long flights of stairs, grand doors, broken eaves, and several snapped jade pillars were all encased like a miniature trapped inside transparent glass.
She tried moving her finger, and the tiny hall projection moved right along with it.
Yun Heng's eyes lit up. It works like this?
She shifted her finger to the left, and the projection moved left. She pushed forward, and the projection drifted toward the open ground ahead.
Wasn't this just like a base-building decorating game? She could put it wherever she pleased.
Yun Heng immediately perked up.
A main hall certainly couldn't be tucked away in some random corner. Since it was the main hall, it naturally had to be placed in the most prominent, central location.
She looked up at her surroundings. The fog was too thick to discern the boundaries of the shattered realm, but she could sense that the open ground under her feet was currently the flattest terrain.
Yun Heng walked forward a short distance, where the terrain sloped slightly upward.
The view here was broader than before, and the fog ahead thinned out a bit. Standing here, the open expanse stretched in all directions, and the flow of spiritual energy felt steadier.
Right here.
Yun Heng raised her hand and let the projection of the Ruined Base of the Guiyuan Main Hall set down.
A speck of light detached from her fingertip, and the tiny hall projection suddenly expanded.
Boom—
The entire land shook gently.
Yun Heng instinctively took half a step back.
The fog was pushed back by an invisible force, exposing a vast open plain. The palm-sized projection hit the ground and shot up from the earth in an instant.
First came the long staircase—layer upon layer of greenish-white stone steps emerged from beneath the earth, sweeping upward. Next came the high platform, absurdly vast, standing in the center of the open ground like a silent mountain foundation.
After that, the hall pillars rose. One, two... over a dozen massive jade pillars materialized one after another. However, while some remained intact, others were broken down the middle, and a few were reduced to mere stumps that revealed dark golden patterns within.
Finally, the outline of the main hall materialized.
Its doors were towering, bearing no plaque above them. Its upturned eaves were incomplete, and a corner of its roof was missing. Yet even so, as it settled onto the land, it commanded an imposing presence that anchored the entire surrounding expanse.
