She looked almost identical to the Bee Woman Yue Shi had encountered on the subway, like they were sisters from the same womb. Ignoring the bizarre, honeycomb-like compound eyes, her face was indeed quite beautiful and alluring.
Yue Shi hadn't expected her to be so fast. With a thought, the murder of crows whistled through the air to surround her.
The Bee Woman twisted mid-air, nimbly changing direction to avoid the crows. She pounced onto a nearby wall, using all four limbs like a crawler to move across it as if it were level ground.
However, the murder of crows pursued her relentlessly, soon leaving several wounds on her body.
She leaped onto a nearby sofa and turned to glare at Yue Shi with a hideous expression. "I'm going to kill you!"
Yue Shi gave a gentle smile. Although the damage from a single shadow crow wasn't significant, their sheer numbers made up for it. Besides, the Bee Woman had already fought Zhong Mo earlier; she was clearly in poor condition and was mostly bluffing now.
Seemingly provoked by Yue Shi's nonchalant attitude, the Bee Woman lunged again, her force crushing the sofa beneath her feet.

Suddenly, the Bee Woman fell into a state of confusion.

"No, no, no, I don't have a name. I am just a Worker Bee!"
"Alright, Ms. Worker Bee," Yue Shi said, drawing out the honorific slightly. He then asked, "Before you became a Worker Bee, were you human? Why did you become a Worker Bee?"
As soon as the words left his mouth, the Bee Woman's beautiful face twisted instantly. The veins on her forehead throbbed violently as her emotions fluctuated wildly. A raspy sound came from her throat, and a bit of slime unconsciously dripped from the corner of her mouth.
Yue Shi took a step back in disgust, but his thin lips continued to move, keeping the Bee Woman under his spell.
【Raven's Secret Whispers】 was a mental attack. The strength of its effect was inversely proportional to the target's willpower.
It seemed he had touched upon the Bee Woman's greatest secret, as her face became increasingly terrifying.
Yue Shi quickly said, "Relax. I have no ill will toward you; I'm just a bit curious."
The Bee Woman calmed down slightly and narrowed her eyes. "Why are you asking about this?"
Yue Shi told a casual lie. "Because I want to join too. I want to become as beautiful and elegant as you, Ms. Worker Bee."
Perhaps his blunt praise pleased her, as the Bee Woman tilted her chin up with a hint of pride.
"Give up. It's impossible for you. Only females can receive the King's gift and transform into a Worker Bee."
"Who is the King?" Yue Shi immediately followed up.
"The King is the King! He is the master of the Hive and the being I admire and worship most! I am willing to give everything for the King!" The Bee Woman's voice was filled with absolute fanaticism.
"Where is the King?" Yue Shi continued to use 【Raven's Secret Whispers】, seizing the opportunity to gather intelligence.
"Don't even think about finding the King's whereabouts from me! You bastards all want to hurt the King!"
At this point, the Bee Woman's emotions suddenly surged violently.
Yue Shi could sense that the effect of 【Raven's Secret Whispers】 was rapidly fading. He took a subtle step forward, his voice low and raspy. "Don't be excited. I won't hurt the King."
But the Bee Woman didn't seem to hear him at all. She only repeated over and over, "As a Worker Bee, I must do everything in my power to satisfy the King's every demand, even if it costs me my life!"
Yue Shi frowned and pressed further. "You're right. I will protect the King with you. Now, can you tell me where the King is?"
These words seemed to trigger something. The Bee Woman's hideous compound eyes suddenly flashed with a murderous light. Her body expanded rapidly, her skin becoming coarse and hard. Her face grew thick fur, and her lips and tongue mutated into insectoid mouthparts, as if she had completely lost her sanity.
The pitch-black crows formed from shadows immediately flapped their wings and circled around Yue Shi. His hands also began to transform, his sharp talons ready for action.
Yet, his mouth continued to speak in a soft, gentle tone: "Calm down... quickly, tell me the King's current location."
The Bee Woman's mutated mouth emitted a buzzing sound, as if she wanted to say something. But at that exact moment, the sound of something cutting through the air rang out.
With a sharp slash, the Bee Woman was struck by an invisible blade. A deep wound appeared on her grotesque body, looking as if it had been carved by a massive cleaver. A murky, pale-yellow fluid mixed with bright red blood splashed everywhere.
"Agh—!" The Bee Woman let out a strange, venomous shriek, no longer capable of communication.
However, she ignored Yue Shi, who was right in front of her. Her swollen body lunged toward the villa entrance with surprising agility.
Standing there was a boy who looked like a high school student. He wore loose, light-gray jeans, and his shirt was unbuttoned from the collar to his chest. A streak of white hair was dyed into his head, giving him a vibrant, delinquent charm.
He had clearly just walked in, and it was he who had just wounded the Bee Woman.
Facing the Bee Woman's desperate counterattack, the boy remained unhurried. His fingers lightly traced the air, and several invisible blades burst forth. Due to the close proximity, every single one hit the target.
The Bee Woman was covered in lacerations. With a heavy thud, she hit the ground and rolled several times.
Seeing this, Yue Shi stepped forward quickly. His talons struck hard, and a decaying aura instantly coiled around the already dying Bee Woman.
She wailed and struggled, spitting out large amounts of beeswax to cover her wounds, but it could not stop the rot from spreading. She could only watch as her body began to fester and stink, her life force rapidly fading.
Her compound eyes stared fixedly at Yue Shi, filled with resentment and malice. "The King will avenge me!"
After gasping out those final words, she became motionless, her eyes still open in death.
Illusory, invisible tentacles quickly swept over the supernatural corpse. They could not interfere with reality, but they took away a certain unknown mystery.
The fourth eye on the tentacles opened a slit.
