In the chaos, Li Hua finally managed to catch his rat.
He shielded the rat in his palms with extreme care, as if he were holding a priceless treasure.
He looked up, his face contorted with shame and rage as he spat out a curse, "You piece of—"
Yue Shi didn't even spare Li Hua a glance.
A trivial character like him didn't deserve any special attention.
He could be wiped out at any moment.
Among everyone present, the only one who required Yue Shi’s full concentration was the Executioner.
To become a captain at headquarters, the man had to possess extraordinary abilities.
“Headquarters is certainly cautious enough, sending so many people just to deal with me. I’m truly flattered.”
Yue Shi’s voice was mocking as his gaze crossed through the chaotic crowd to meet the Executioner’s eyes from a distance.
“You don’t honestly think you can defeat me just with numbers, do you?”
As he spoke, the space beside Yue Shi began to ripple.
Entrances to irregular extra-dimensional spaces opened one after another.
In an instant, a flood of twisted, frenzied supernatural creatures and out-of-control transcendents with mutated bodies swarmed out from the rifts!
These were the collections he had imprisoned on a whim when he destroyed Lab 0.
Most of these creatures and transcendents had long since lost their sanity, leaving only the instinct to kill and destroy. They would attack any living thing in sight indiscriminately.
The few who still possessed reason harbored deep hatred for Yue Shi.
However, Yue Shi had communicated with them beforehand. Moved by his 'kindness,' they had voluntarily agreed to help him.
These scraps from his collection were perfect for clearing out the small fry and throwing the battlefield into disarray.
The Executioner saw through Yue Shi’s intentions at a glance.
He furrowed his brows and barked a sharp reprimand at the investigators behind him who were still frantically trying to catch their rats:
“Steady yourselves! Don’t lose your heads over such a trivial matter! Once we successfully capture Yue Shi, we will find a solution to restore you to normal!”
The Executioner couldn't understand why these people were falling into a panic over such a minor issue.
These were supposed to be the elites of headquarters?
Their mental fortitude was pathetic!
It was just a temporary loss of sexual characteristics. What was the big deal?
Back in the day, in order to obtain a certain supernatural power, he had personally invited many colleagues to witness his own total fungal anesthesia-free sterilization surgery!
Compared to that, this current situation was practically child's play.
“Stop trying to catch those animals for now. Concentrate your strength on wiping out the grunts. Leave Yue Shi to me!”
The Executioner’s tone brooked no argument as he stepped forward, closing in on Yue Shi.
Any supernatural creature or out-of-control transcendent that dared to approach him was instantly obliterated.
The male investigators, currently suffering under the curse, were fuming but didn't dare speak out against him.
Did he think everyone was as much of a freak as him?
Who else could undergo castration for the sake of power without even blinking!
Yet they also understood the gravity of the situation. They had to suppress their discomfort and abandon the chase for their dignity to meet the incoming enemies.
The plush bear stood by on standby. Yue Shi gave it a look. “Go. No one here is allowed to leave alive.”
The plush bear nodded, gripped its small hammer, and bounced forward. Its speed was startling.
Su Qingqian had been keeping a close watch on Yue Shi. Seeing this, she immediately shouted a warning:
“Watch out for that plush bear! Its true form is the information lifeform Ghost. It specializes in possession and lacks offensive capabilities, so it shouldn't be—”
Before she could finish, the plush bear’s silhouette was already closing in on an investigator. The small hammer in its paws whipped up a vicious wind, slamming directly into the man's temple!
Squelch!
The skull shattered, and brain matter sprayed everywhere.
The red and white mess was quite a festive sight.
The investigator was killed on the spot.
Su Qingqian’s expression changed drastically. “Don’t just stand there! Strike!”
They had long since discovered that Ghost and Yue Shi were working together, so they naturally had methods specifically designed to counter information lifeforms.
Another investigator in the team reacted quickly, his lips curling into a smirk.
The air in front of him distorted, revealing a flickering vertical shadow that looked like a deletion cursor in a computer document.
Supernatural power: 【Data Erasure】. Its direct combat potential was weak, but it was the perfect counter for information lifeforms like Ghost.
Unfortunately, the plush bear wasn't affected in the slightest.
Under the investigator's confident gaze, that small hammer, now covered in brain matter, struck another head.
Crack!
The investigator fell backward, the stubborn smirk still plastered on his face.
“It didn't work? An ability targeted at information lifeforms was useless?!”
Su Qingqian was horrified, a wave of shock crashing over her heart.
In their original combat assessment, Ghost was just an insignificant minor character that could be dealt with in passing. Their primary target had always been Yue Shi.
She never expected this minor character to deliver such a massive surprise!
The Curse Master version of the plush bear was like a wolf among sheep.
Though its movements looked a bit clumsy and comical, every swing of the hammer was precise and lethal.
Accompanied by the screams of shattering bone, another person was beaten to death in the blink of an eye.
Just then, a female investigator stepped out from the crowd to face the plush bear.
She crossed her arms over her chest, and her skin turned a translucent grayish-white.
The plush bear showed no mercy and swung its hammer down.
However, when the hammer hit the female investigator’s temple, it felt like hitting a thick slime.
With a muffled thud, the hammer was firmly stuck.
The plush bear pulled back with all its might, but the hammer didn't budge; it couldn't be pulled free.
“Now’s our chance!” Seeing this, another investigator seized the opportunity and threw a punch at the plush bear from a distance.
The plush bear was hit by a massive force and sent flying, landing softly on the ground.
Its small hammer was still stuck to the female investigator’s head.
The female investigator snorted and reached out to grab the handle, pulling it off. “A decent supernatural object. It belongs to me now—”
Her words cut off abruptly as a flicker of foul black mist passed through her eyes.
No one noticed her abnormality.
The plush bear had been repelled, and its weapon seized.
The investigators’ spirits lifted.
They had finally managed to score a point.
If they couldn't beat Yue Shi, surely they could handle a single doll?
But in the next second, the confidence they had just regained was shaken.
On the ground, numerous disgusting, tiny worms appeared out of nowhere.
These worms proliferated rapidly, gathering and entangling until they condensed into several identical humanoid forms.
They were scrawny men with crazed, vacant eyes and drool leaking from the corners of their mouths.
One investigator threw a punch from a distance, obliterating one of the scrawny men.
The scrawny man exploded, but there was no spray of flesh and blood. Instead, his body scattered, turning into a floor full of worms.
The worms writhed and split frantically before aggregating once more, turning into two identical scrawny men!
The Ripper!
Upon taking fatal damage, the body would collapse into worms, which then rapidly proliferated, reorganized, and split.
The more they were killed, the more they multiplied, and the stronger they became!
The headquarters suppression team now had to face a multitude of supernatural creatures and out-of-control transcendents, keep an eye out for the plush bear, and now deal with the increasingly dense swarm of worms.
They were gradually sinking into a living hell.
