Inside the control hall, the Doctor watched Ren Yi, who had returned to silence on the screen.
"The performance of the Consumables shows they have been subjected to an influence we cannot yet detect."
"Such attacks targeting the stream of consciousness are rare among biological-type Anomalies," the Doctor declared calmly, adjusting her glasses.
"Cancel the immediate erasure command for B-013-A. Set its threat level to B-rank for now."
"Handle it according to the standard first-contact protocols for Anomalies. Keep it under surveillance on-site; strictly forbid anyone from entering without authorization."
"Before conducting the next interactive experiment, we will first study the two 'Consumables' that were influenced by it."
Hearing this, Ren Yi breathed a sigh of relief.
This meant he might be "left out to dry" here for a while.
Although it was like being in a solitary prison, at least the crisis of being directly destroyed—the "instant game over" scenario—had temporarily passed.
The organization's attitude toward him had shifted from a "threat that must be dealt with" to a "valuable research subject."
But he didn't relax completely.
His predicament remained as thick as these alloy walls.
The organization had no intention of moving him to a "new dormitory."
And the defense level of a secret room specifically designed to contain Anomalies was despairingly high.
He needed to gather information as quickly as possible to find a way to escape.
However, he couldn't move now, and relying on ordinary perception was far too limited in range.
Furthermore, the method of attaching his perception to someone to travel along was extremely draining on his focus and mental energy.
In Ren Yi's current state, he could only tag one target at a time.
There were ways, but they weren't efficient. Originally, this would have been a difficult choice.
Fortunately, that farce just now had provided him with two perfect mediums.
Specifically, Evans, in whom he had just planted a seed, and the collapsing B-050 currently being escorted away.
With the power of the seeds, Ren Yi's perception could attach to them more deeply and easily, like a parasite.
In theory, he could now activate a "triple-tasking" mode.
Gathering information through staff member B-050, Evans, and one more perspective of his own choosing.
"I'm still missing the most critical perspective."
Ren Yi's perception rippled slightly in the air, passing through the thick observation window to lock onto the old woman standing at the center of the command console, controlling the entire situation.
In this cold, ruthless, and heavily guarded organization, if he wanted to understand this world and find a way out as fast as possible, the final choice could only be one person...
The Doctor.
The Doctor glanced coldly at B-406, who was rubbing his eye socket.
The elite errand boy had just swapped in yet another mechanical prosthetic eye; it was flashing blue light, seemingly not yet fully adjusted to the focal length.
"Staff member B-406, you are responsible for following up on the testing of those two Consumables. Staff member B-117, you are in charge of leading the team for continuous surveillance here."
After giving these orders, the Doctor turned and walked out of the hall.
This time, she didn't use the elevator from before but walked along a secluded metal corridor toward the depths of the base.
As the distance grew, Ren Yi's original perception range quickly reached its limit.
But in his vision, a "thread" of perception stuck to the back of the Doctor's lab coat acted like a towline in the deep sea, pulling his consciousness across numerous blast doors.
Finally, the Doctor entered an office with extremely minimalist decor.
There was no metallic texture here; instead, it was covered with thick, sound-absorbing carpet.
She dismissed all her subordinates, locked the door behind her, and then sat down behind the large wooden desk, lighting up a computer screen.
The moment the screen lit up, countless notifications flooded out like a bursting dam.

【S-099 Containment Breach Loss Statistics (Updating)】
【Anomaly File Database Real-time Update: B-013-A (Data Gathering)】
However, Dr. Cyril didn't even spare a glance at these messages. She raised her right hand and pressed it onto a specialized scanner.
"Biological signature scan initiated."
"Bone density verification... Gene sequence comparison in progress... 3D retinal modeling successful."
A series of emotionless electronic voices echoed in the room, followed by three password entries.
"Permission confirmed."
"Welcome, Dr. Cyril."
All pop-up messages vanished instantly, leaving the entire desktop blank.
In the center of the minimalist gray background, there was only a single, lonely search bar without any text explanation.
But Ren Yi could guess what it was.
In all likelihood, this was the Anomaly database contained by this organization.
Dr. Cyril stared at the search bar, her hands hovering over the keyboard for a long time, as if hesitating over which term to type.
Just as Ren Yi was holding his breath, ready to snag some free information, something changed.
The source of the change wasn't external, but inside Ren Yi—or rather, inside his "stomach."
His "phone," or the "exam system," began spamming notifications through the mental link with Ren Yi without warning.

It all happened too fast.
Ren Yi looked at the spamming messages and fell into a long silence.
Thousands of words condensed into one sentence...
"The Anomaly Web... wait, no. Class Monitor is awesome!"
