Chapter 355 · Volume 1

【Werewolf】 and 【Vampire】

After all, as long as it is an evolution, there will be more or less some physical changes based on the human foundation.
Therefore, it was not an exaggeration to describe them as "diverse."
It was still hard to say which race was currently the strongest, as none had truly competed against one another yet.
But if one were to speak of the largest and most populous race, the first that came to mind was undoubtedly the vampires.
When all eight different types of vampire races were added together, they numbered nearly a million.
Moreover, Vivian had provided ten thousand milliliters of Ancient Blood the moment she acted.
It was easy to imagine that she surely had more in her possession. It was even possible she held some kind of ancient juvenile beast, much like the supplier for that Formation 505 from before.
However, no matter who guessed such a thing, it was impossible to ask. Even someone with as little social grace as Lan Qingyou knew that much.
Besides the vampires, there were two other large racial groups.
One was the elf race.
With just a cursory glance, Lan Qingyou could see many different types of long-eared elves.
These elves could basically be distinguished by their skin color.
For instance, there were bronze-skinned Dark Elves, blue-purple Ocean Elves, pale Blood Elves, and even withered-yellow Hell Elves...
It was a veritable spectrum of colors.
Aside from the elves, the other major race was the Titan race.
Similar to the elves, their skin also came in various colors, but most of them had patterns resembling cracks on their skin.
Their naming convention was based on different terrains and landscapes.
For example, there were the blue Deep Sea Titans, the white Frost Titans, the gray Mountain Titans, the yellow Earth Titans, and the green Wetland Titans...
In short, there were many miscellaneous branches; they could even be said to have the most sub-races in existence.
Olf's specific race was the Mountain Titan.
Of course.
Unlike the vampires, whose racial names were engraved on their system panels, these titles were self-designated to distinguish themselves from one another.
However, compared to all of that, Lan Qingyou was more interested in the burly man currently approaching their small group.
In Lan Qingyou's eyes, this fellow was quite interesting.
The interest lay primarily in the man's attire.
From head to toe, from his short vest to his leather boots, everything was made of wolf skin.
Combined with his two-meter height, his hulking frame, and his naturally imposing features, he exuded a sense of fierce, wild beauty.
Of course, that wasn't the most interesting part.
The most interesting part was his race.
“Clan Leader Bathory, your people went into our Gloomy Forest two days ago, killed three of my men, and snatched a batch of supplies. How do you intend to explain this?”
After the burly man walked up to the group from Tarot Villa, he stood behind Vivian and glared down at her with an intimidating presence.
“Kevin Goldrin, this isn't a place for you to act wild.”
Seeing someone come to find trouble with their alliance leader, the vampire clan leaders nearby all stood up.
The most proactive among them was the leader of the Soul-eating Vampires, Clan Leader Giovanni.
Perhaps it was because he was the last to join, or perhaps because he had seen the construction of Emerald Ridge thriving recently, but Clan Leader Giovanni was more eager than anyone.
With a burst of mist, he darted between Vivian and the burly man.
“Clan Leader Giovanni, if you want to suck up to this brat, that's your business. But today I'm here to talk to your leader. Get lost, dog.”
As if he hadn't even seen Giovanni's threatening gaze, the burly man named Kevin reached out and shoved Giovanni aside.
“Aha! Kevin! I also think a dog should act like a dog...”
Just as Giovanni was being shoved aside by Kevin, Vivian, who was sitting on her mat, turned around and looked at him with a smile.
“Do you want a bone? It was made personally by the leader of the Forest Elves. It's very delicious—not something just anyone gets to eat. Since I'm feeling generous, I'll give it to you.”
As she spoke, Vivian used her chopsticks to pick up a bone she had already chewed on and tossed it directly onto the outer walkway. Then, she waved her hand dismissively as if shooing away an animal.
“Go on, hurry. Be careful, or another dog might snatch it up.”
This action directly enraged the man, while simultaneously leaving the members of Tarot Villa stunned.
They knew that although Vivian was an agent of chaos online and could be a bit talkative at times, she had never displayed such an obnoxious behavior or tone.
If she wasn't intentionally trying to provoke him, then she must be establishing her authority.
Thinking of this, the Villa members turned their gazes toward the vampire clan leaders.
Sure enough, these leaders were now looking at Vivian with glowing eyes and faces full of adoration.
Unlike Kevin's wild look with his animal skins and exposed muscles, the vampires mostly followed a dark gothic style.
So while these fellows looked refined and civil, they were actually warmongers.
This was something engraved in their blood; it couldn't be changed.
Thus, seeing their alliance leader, the Vampire Queen, their respected Eminence, treat an enemy with such arrogance and pride made their blood boil with excitement, leaving them ready to strike at any moment.
In particular, the leader of the so-called Blood-red Vampires had skin that was flushed even redder than the usual pale complexion of other vampires.
Regardless of whether this was right or wrong, one had to admit it was incredibly domineering.
Consequently, the man named Kevin was furious.
He was so angry that his face was redder than even the Blood-red Vampire leader's.
And so...
Under the watchful eyes of the crowd, the hair on Kevin's body began to grow longer, his snout gradually elongated, and his teeth became sharp.
Ultimately, he transformed into the form of a wolf standing upright on two legs.
That's right.
Kevin Goldrin was a werewolf.
It was precisely because of this that Vivian had called him a dog and thrown a bone at him.
And it was also because he was a werewolf that Lan Qingyou found it interesting.
After all, back on Blue Star, the vampire and werewolf races were eternal blood rivals and natural nemeses.
As for why that was, no one knew; those legends were simply too ancient.
But here...
In Kalim...
It was clearly over resources.
However, the fact that these two races, who were blood rivals on Blue Star, actually appeared in two adjacent regions in this world was truly a magnificent piece of irony.
Could it be that even the world consciousness, who seemed so stern and serious, actually had the soul of an agent of chaos?
“I should probably remind the leader of the Moonlight Werewolves that if you use force here, you might be punished.”
Seeing that the man was so enraged by a little mockery that he wanted to fight, Lan Qingyou felt compelled to offer a kind reminder.
This wasn't because she was particularly good-hearted.
It was because this space likely did have such a punishment mechanism, though she wasn't sure what it was exactly.
Since she wasn't sure, she didn't want to be caught in the crossfire because of some idiot.
After all, everyone was sitting so close. If he got struck by lightning, she might end up suffering along with him.
“Who are you?”
Instead of thanking her, the reminded Kevin glared at Lan Qingyou with a fierce scowl. But then...
After clearly seeing the attire Lan Qingyou was wearing, the werewolf Kevin suddenly calmed down.
His bloodthirsty gaze instantly became incredibly clear.
