Well...
If it was a greenhouse, then she really didn't have much to draw inspiration from.
However, the idea of cordoning off land was worth noting; she could see if it was possible to try that later.
“For now, those little cuties will just have to bear with it.”
Lan Qingyou muttered to herself as she set down the card in her hand.
It wasn't that she was superficial, wanting to give those elf butterflies a home just because they were pretty...
Well, she actually was a bit superficial, but that wasn't the point. The point was that since so many had hatched, she had to consider the issue of future breeding.
The total area of the first floor was only a few hundred square meters. That wouldn't be nearly enough for the elf butterflies to reproduce, would it?
In fact, it wouldn't be enough for any species to propagate.
That was why she wanted to establish a large herb field to house the little fellows.
That way, even if some flew away in the future, a portion would remain to pollinate her herb field and such.
Never mind.
Regardless, she didn't even know how elf butterflies reproduced yet.
Their lifespan wasn't like the butterflies on Blue Star, which only lived for a few days or weeks. She could deal with it when the time came.
Shaking her head, Lan Qingyou pulled out a sheet of paper she had just made, took out a set square, and began sketching and writing on it.
The Tower: "@Chariot, how is the work on the Orichalcum and iron ore coming along?"
As night fell, Lan Qingyou set down her pen and sent a message to Chariot.
Chariot: "I've already produced quite a few copper and iron plates of various specifications. Do you need them now?"
The Tower: "No, I've just finished some designs. Take a look first, then help me prep the materials."
As she spoke, Lan Qingyou sent about a dozen A0-sized blueprints covered in various shapes and data to Chariot, also known as Olf.
High Priestess: "Are you about to start making golems?"
The Tower: "Yes."
Chariot: "No problem. I'd also like to see what kind of golems you've designed."
Chariot smiled after receiving the blueprints from Lan Qingyou. He replied and then began to look them over.
However, the more he looked, the more he felt something was off.
Chariot: "@The Tower, even though I don't plan to specialize in golemcraft, I've read a bit about it. Isn't there something a bit strange about this?"
The Tower: "There's nothing strange about it. Just follow the designs. I've put a lot of thought into this."
Chariot: "Alright, since you're insistent, I'll start prepping the stock tomorrow. What's the specific quantity?"
The Tower: "20."
Chariot: "The materials might be a bit lacking."
The Moon: "I'm already acquiring them from Magician's side, but the speed is a bit slow."
The Tower: "It's fine. Tomorrow, I'll brew a hundred pots of Basic Mana Potion."
The Moon: "Then there shouldn't be a problem. However, it's best to make some basic healing potions as well. Since they're for saving lives, the price will be higher and they'll sell better."
The Tower: "Let's go fifty-fifty then."
Chariot: "That works."
Hierophant: "Tower, how did you make that magic shield? Tell this old man. I want to go night fishing tonight."
As the others were discussing intensely, the fishing enthusiast Nemo popped up.
Lan Qingyou's mouth twitched. The old man was becoming a bit obsessed with night fishing.
Now that he had the chance, he was definitely going to consult Lan Qingyou.
The Tower: "To be precise, the full name of my shield is the Magic Alchemy Shield."
Justice: "What's the difference?"
The Tower: "When your level, experience, and knowledge are insufficient, you can only use alchemy to make up for it. [Thorium Ink]—it mostly relies on this stuff."
The Star: "Haha, I didn't know you could do it that way. As expected of the first titled person, you think fast. Do you still want that second tent?"
The Tower: "Of course. I'll keep it as a spare. It's better to be prepared."
The Star: "I'll send it to you in a bit. While you're at it, draw the patterns on one for me too."
The Tower: "No problem."
Empress: "Tower, is there any more? Give me some ink too. I want to see if I can draw some on my fence."
The Tower: "Sure. I'll send the leftovers to you after I finish tomorrow."
Empress: "Is this stuff hard to make?"
The Tower: "The main issue is that the materials are hard to come by."
Justice: "Thorium, eh? I really haven't heard of it."
The Tower: "No, the thorium itself isn't the problem. The key is that softening thorium requires very high temperatures. My current alchemy circles can't reach them."
Chariot: "Interesting. I'll take that challenge. Send me a piece to try."
Magician: "Send me one too."
High Priestess: "A challenge? I'll take a look as well."
For a while, everyone chatted excitedly about the thorium issue, but without exception, they all failed.
The next day, Lan Qingyou began producing potions.
Of course, since she only had one crucible, the other ninety-nine pots were D-grade inferior versions.
Though they were labeled inferior, they only lacked a dozen or so points of restorative power.
They were still very popular among the buyers.
During the gaps in her work, Lan Qingyou also finished drawing the magic circuits on the two tents sent by Ruan Qingyi. With her current proficiency in brewing, she could manage to squeeze out that much time.
In passing, after finishing the drawings, she went outside to check on the tent by the stream.
After one night, the tent was unharmed, though it had lost about a hundred energy points, likely from being attacked.
She would leave it for another two days and see.
Since she had a lot to do, Lan Qingyou didn't pay much more attention to the tent. Instead, after handling the three tents, she began writing a paper on her cards.
This paper mainly discussed what she had mentioned before regarding mana.
Mana possessed various distinctions. These weren't just elemental attributes, but differences inherent in all things; every individual and every species had subtle differences in their mana...
Throughout the afternoon, Lan Qingyou wrote nearly twelve thousand words in a grand, flowing style.
She covered everything from the conversion of minerals within a Mountain Eater to the magic rat experiments, and the development of Setting Potion and Softening Potion.
From how diarrhea wouldn't reduce health but would instead decrease personal mana, to the relationship between magic circuits and mana output.
In short, she wrote down everything she could think of, still in a somewhat disorganized fashion, jumping from one thought to the next.
By the time she finished the paper, today's potions were almost done.
After letting them cool and settle, she sent the potions, along with the pots, to Shang Chuan.
For the next few days, Lan Qingyou lived her life basically in this manner.
It wasn't until the third mana turbulence was about to arrive that Chariot finally finished all the parts Lan Qingyou had ordered.
These were the parts for the golems she had designed.
Her next task was to assemble these parts and engrave them with magic patterns, circuits, enchantments, instructions, and many other things.
