An evil god who most likely possessed authority was a terrifying foe. Even if its total energy was comparable to other Demigods, its abilities were beyond anything they could imagine.
To put it in simple terms, an evil god’s passive skills were extremely overpowered.
Take the current evil god, for instance. Its energy wasn't particularly strong.
After all, it had only just awakened, and the body it possessed was merely a reasonably powerful Demigod. Even so, the other Demigods didn't dare to act rashly.

Black Death Lolita stood behind the evil god, her voice calm and devoid of her previous madness.
The evil god gave no response. The surrounding sludge surged toward her, enveloping her within it.

It was better to rely on oneself than on others. One should never make someone else's help a central part of their plan, or it would become the greatest variable.

On the other side, Da Di’s fists were moving so fast they left afterimages, shattering the sludge before it could even get close.
“This isn't a long-term solution! We need to find this evil god's weakness.”
The sludge shifted its form, becoming as thin as strands of hair. It constantly found gaps in Da Di’s attacks, inching closer and closer.
Da Di was forced to keep flying higher into the air.
“It’s just an avatar. No matter how strong it is, there’s a limit!”
After saying this, Red Fox threw a red sphere.
Boom!!!
Towering flames erupted, blasting away a large amount of sludge. The sludge near the center of the explosion was completely scorched dry.
But before he could celebrate, the sludge seemed to gain a new vitality, transforming back into tentacles and coiling toward them again.
“Its strength isn't actually that overwhelming. If a Sequence 4 were here, they should be able to kill it.”
As he spoke, Jade Dog and Red Fox both looked toward Da Di.
As Baleful Stars, they knew more than the average person. For instance, they knew that the City Lord of Huangshan City was a Sequence 4—and a very famous one at that!
If that man were willing to act, they believed these difficulties would be resolved instantly.
Da Di shook his head decisively.
“Without orders from above, my dad can't go anywhere.”
Jade Dog paused, then said apologetically, “I’m sorry.”
“It’s fine.”
Although the City Lord of Huangshan City was powerful, he indeed could not easily leave the Command Center.
The reason was simple. When he was younger, he had personally gone to Central City and killed a princeling in broad daylight!
Central City was furious, and the princeling’s family used all their influence to try and have him killed.
But in the end, the matter was dropped.
The reason was equally simple: his master was Wan Tianqing!
The result was that he was ‘sealed’ within the Huangshan City Command Center.
This was his punishment, and he wasn't even stripped of his office.
However, any travel required approval from above. For example, if he needed to go elsewhere for a meeting, he had to submit a report a week in advance.

Lyu Xiaofeng’s condition was worsening. He couldn't remember the last time he had been this close to death.
But Red Fox and Jade Dog ignored him.
Lyu Xiaofeng gritted his teeth and pulled off his necklace.
It was a hollow crystal pendant, and inside was a drop of bright red liquid that looked like a gemstone.
“This is a drop of Sequence 3 blood. It contains a portion of his power.”

As he spoke, he threw the pendant to Jade Dog. Jade Dog pointed forward, blasting a surge of divinity that shattered the crystal pendant.
The gemstone-like blood burst into a brilliant radiance the moment it touched the air!
The sludge began to dry up the instant it was struck by the light.
Jade Dog then pulled a miniature torch from his robes. The moment Lyu Xiaofeng saw the torch, he knew what the other man intended to do.
Legend had it that when the War God was slaying gods, the evil gods resisted fiercely, and the high-end forces were insufficient to support a total war against them.
The War God then used his own rib as a torch handle, his hair as a wick, and his blood as fuel to create a God-Slaying Torch!
