Nowadays, Yin Yang could take a simple leaf and turn it into a temporary transcendent item after empowering it.
By all rights, the spirituality of the 【Accident Pen】 should have been almost entirely depleted, but Yin Yang empowered it every time he used it. Now, it even possessed more spirituality than when he first obtained it.
Thus, these nearly broken transcendent items were trash to others, but to Yin Yang, they were the absolute kings of cost-effectiveness!
He was just about to continue browsing the stalls when a voice filled with pleasant surprise suddenly rang out.
“You've come?”
Yin Yang turned around and saw Ye Muchun looking at him with an expression of delight.
It wasn't surprising that the man recognized him; after all, Yin Yang was wearing a transparent raincoat and a black mask, making him fairly easy to spot in Wanwu City.
“Boss Ye, what can I do for you?”
Ye Muchun glanced around before whispering.
“I have something major to tell you.”
Hearing this, Yin Yang looked back at the stalls, then turned to follow him deeper into the city.
After not visiting for a while, he noticed the shop had more stock, and the interior decor had become even more luxurious.
“Do you know of the Shadow Lotus Church?”
“Of course.”
Ye Muchun nodded, then checked his surroundings again, acting as if he couldn't let anyone else overhear.
“They are planning to do something big recently!”
“Oh?”
Yin Yang was actually quite curious about this.
His feelings toward the Shadow Lotus Church were complicated. On one hand, he despised their actions, but on the other, he felt they were quite 'lucky' for him.
He had reaped plenty of benefits from them, all while pinning any blame squarely on their shoulders.
Seeing Yin Yang's interest, Ye Muchun explained that the organization was currently recruiting experts.
Yin Yang remained stoic on the surface, but inwardly, he wondered what they were planning that required so many Demigods.
As for the idea of going to take a look...
Don't be ridiculous. He wasn't a Demigod.
Seeing his reaction, Ye Muchun knew Yin Yang had no intention of participating.
“To be honest, the Shadow Lotus Church's reputation is quite poor. That's why I wanted to notify you—to prevent you from being tricked by some unscrupulous middleman into becoming cannon fodder.”
Yin Yang looked at him and smiled.
“In that case, I should thank you, Boss Ye.”
Ye Muchun waved his hand dismissively.
“You solved such a huge problem for me; this is nothing.”
“Are you looking for any specific materials in Wanwu City this time?”
“I'm fairly familiar with the items currently in the city. You can tell me what you need, and I can make some recommendations.”
Yin Yang thought for a moment before speaking.
“I recently discovered a transcendent item. Its power is very unique—it's different from spirituality, and it can restrain divinity.”
“I thought I'd come to Wanwu City to see if I could find someone knowledgeable to ask about it.”
Hearing Yin Yang's description, Ye Muchun rubbed his chin.
“The item you discovered... its form should be quite primitive, right?”
Yin Yang's heart skipped a beat. Did Ye Muchun know something?
He followed the lead and asked, “Yes. Have you seen it?”
Ye Muchun smiled.
“I haven't seen it personally, but I've heard of it. The transcendent item you found likely belongs to the 【Primitive Cult】.”
The Primitive Cult!
The most unique of the four major evil cults in Great Wei.
They were obsessed with returning the world to its primitive state, shunning technology and innovation. They believed that humanity should Return to the Beginning!
It was said that the higher-ups of their cult didn't even wear clothes, opting for animal skins instead.
“The Primitive Cult?”
“Yes. They are a rather unique group of people. I don't know much about them because they don't like to associate with others.”
“It's said that the power they use can pollute divinity, reducing its original strength to only ten or twenty percent.”
“Because of this, although their cult has few members, their combat strength is very high, especially in high-Sequence battles where they can play a massive role.”
Yin Yang nodded, planning to find some books about the Primitive Cult when he got back.
Ye Muchun continued, “Though they are one of the four major evil cults, there aren't many of them in Great Wei, and they're rarely encountered.”
“If you're interested, I can keep an eye out for you.”
“Then I'll thank you in advance.”
Yin Yang stood up, thinking about heading back out to browse the stalls and see if he could find any more hidden gems.
Ye Muchun also stood up.
“The entrances to Wanwu City are opened by Envoys in different locations, so I don't know when we'll meet again.”
“This is my contact information. I leave Wanwu City to restock every month on the fifteenth, from eight at night until midnight. If you need anything, you can contact me then.”
Yin Yang took the business card, nodded, and stepped out of the shop.
‘A big event for the Shadow Lotus Church?’
‘I should look into it and find out where it is, just so I don't get dragged in.’
‘Wait... actually, getting dragged in might not be so bad. They can run amok in the front, while I go on a preaching frenzy in the back.’
As Yin Yang was thinking, his path was suddenly blocked by an extremely tall figure.
Yin Yang looked up. The person was estimated to be over two and a half meters tall. Just by looking at that height, one could guess their pathway.
A Strongman!
“Is something the matter?”
Yin Yang looked up at the man, but he didn't find it too strange, as the four ghosts weren't short either.
The Strongman looked at Yin Yang and stepped aside.
“My master wishes to see you.”
Yin Yang looked in the direction the man indicated and saw a man in a black suit and a fedora staring at him.
Noticing Yin Yang's gaze, the man bowed slightly.
Yin Yang looked at him, then back at Ye Muchun's shop, before walking toward the man.
This was Wanwu City; he wasn't worried about anyone attacking him.
As for any tracking marks they might try to place on him, he was even less afraid.
Anything placed on him belonged to him, and anything that belonged to him could be sacrificed. What was there to fear?
The man in the suit stood at the mouth of an alley. When Yin Yang approached, he smiled.
“Forgive the intrusion, distinguished gentleman.”
Yin Yang was taken aback because the man's accent was distinctly different—it wasn't a local accent, but a Great Qi accent!
“You wanted to see me? But I don't believe I know you.”
The man in the suit smiled and nodded.
“We didn't know each other before, but we do now, don't we?”
“Sir, my time is precious. Let's skip the pleasantries. Why were you looking for me?”
The man in the suit pointed toward Yin Yang's pocket.
“You seem to have bought a transcendent item at a stall earlier. Would you be willing to part with it?”
Yin Yang pulled the monkey statue from his pocket.
“This?”
“Exactly.”
“How much are you offering?”
“Ten times the price!”
“I bought it for two gold notes,” Yin Yang lied.
Upon hearing this, the man in the suit immediately counted out twenty gold notes and handed them to Yin Yang.
“Is it a deal?”
“Deal!”
Yin Yang was very decisive. He recalled the old stall owner saying this monkey statue was unlucky.
How was this unlucky?
This was incredibly lucky!
