Under this warm atmosphere, the two of them polished off the large spread of dishes on the table.
Afterward, they stood side by side at the sink, washing the dishes.
Xia De had originally wanted to wash them directly with water magic, but Hilia stopped him.
She said that some things only felt right when done by hand, and then she began washing the bowls and chopsticks herself.
Xia De felt puzzled, but he still respected Hilia's wishes and joined her in washing the dishes.
He figured that since Hilia was leaving tomorrow, it was fine for her to cook, but leaving her to do chores like washing the dishes right before her departure would make him a real jerk.
So, ignoring her protests, he joined in anyway.
And so, with Xia De's stubborn insistence, the world witnessed its very first scene of a Tier Nine and a Tier Three huddling in a tiny kitchen, washing ordinary dishes together.
“Do you have any plans after I leave?” Hilia asked. “Are you going to stay here long-term, or go somewhere else to adventure?”
She rinsed a plate with water and handed it to Xia De, who took it and wiped it dry.
“If nothing unexpected happens, I'll probably move to another area to adventure. After all, the resources in this region are too scarce.”
Hearing Xia De's answer, Hilia narrowed her eyes and let out a soft chuckle.
“True. So, have you thought about where to go? Do you want your senior, Big Sister Hilia, to give you some advice?”
Her smile was like sunshine, radiating a warm and infectious energy.
Xia De nodded slightly. “I'll leave it to you, senior.”
When it came to business, Hilia's expression turned a bit more serious.
“If you're going to leave, I recommend going to the city where I used to stay.”
Xia De didn't speak, quietly waiting for Hilia to elaborate, knowing she would definitely give her reasons.
“First of all, the resources there are far greater than here. B-rank and C-rank commissions are very common, and while A-rank ones are rare, they aren't unheard of. There have even been S-rank adventure commissions before.”
“This is something this place can't compare to. With your strength, if you had registered over there from the beginning, you probably would have risen to B-rank in just a single day.”
“Secondly, it's very populous. That region is quite famous even on a national scale, and the noble who governs that territory holds a very high status in the Royal Capital. If you can establish a connection with them, it will make things very convenient for you in the future.”
But they probably have a lot of political enemies, which would drag me into trouble too, right?
This thought immediately popped into Xia De's mind.
As if knowing what Xia De was thinking, Hilia added:
“You don't have to worry about getting dragged into trouble. This is just a potential benefit. After all, that noble rarely makes public appearances, only showing up during major festivals. Very few people can actually establish a connection with him.”
“Finally, the most important advantage of that place is the existence of a large-scale dungeon labyrinth.”
“A dungeon labyrinth?”
Xia De picked up on the key term. He pondered for a moment, then showed a hint of surprise.
“The thing you mentioned before that is older than even the Hero and the Demon King?”
Wiping the foam off a plate and rinsing it with water, Hilia nodded.
“Exactly. The magic power within the dungeon labyrinth is extremely dense, allowing monsters to spawn rapidly. The larger the scale, the shorter the spawn times, and the more monsters there are. Since I see you've been constantly hunting monsters, I'm sure this place will satisfy you.”
Taking the last plate from her hands, Xia De wiped it dry. His handsome face was reflected on the smooth, mirror-like surface.
It reflected the burning greed and passion in his black eyes.
He looked at the values on his status panel.
【Name: Xia De (Human reincarnated from another world)
Combat Power: 239,764
Skills: All-Attribute Elemental Magic, Stealth Magic, Perception Magic, Space Storage Magic, Surveillance Magic, Weapon Mastery, Mirror Image...】
Compared to when he first arrived in this town a month ago, the difference was like night and day.
But at the thought of that delicate youth with ten million Combat Power, the difference between them was still like night and day.
He still needed to continue increasing his Combat Power.
However, all the powerful monsters in the surrounding area had already been wiped out by him, leaving only some small Tier One and Tier Two monsters.
The effect of these creatures on raising his Combat Power was practically negligible.
Now that a place where he could repeatedly grind experience and increase his Combat Power had appeared, how could he possibly let it go!
Without further ado, now that he had a goal, it was time to act!
Placing both hands on Hilia's delicate shoulders, he firmly pressed her down onto the sofa.
“Eh, eh, eh, eh?!”
Hilia was caught completely off guard, and a rosy blush bloomed on her cheeks.
Then, she saw Xia De staring at her with burning eyes, his handsome face so close that it was almost touching hers.
Eh! Eh, eh!! Eh, eh, eh!!! What is he doing?!
Though she didn't understand why he had suddenly gotten so excited, she no longer had the capacity to think about such things.
She only felt her body rapidly heating up like a kettle placed over a roaring fire.
Thump, thump, thump. Her heartbeat was as loud as a beating drum; her heart felt like it was about to leap right out of her chest.
“There's no time to lose! Hurry and tell me the location and all the details about that place! I'm setting off tomorrow! Please, Senior Hilia!”
“Huh?!”
Her body temperature stopped rising, her face was no longer red, and her speech instantly became clear. Hilia stared at him, her mind filled with a massive question mark.
“You're leaving tomorrow?”
“Yes! Now that I have a goal, there's no point in lingering. After all, I can't get much stronger by staying here.”
“But... but... what about this house? You definitely rented it for more than a month, right? The lease isn't up yet.”
“It's fine. I'll leave a note for Grandma Kardashian. She'll understand once she reads it.”
Blushing, Hilia murmured softly, “Then... what about Miss Elulu? Aren't you going to tell her?”
Now, it was Xia De's turn to have a question mark float over his head.
“What does this have to do with Elulu? Why would I need to tell her where I'm going?”
Hearing this answer, Hilia let out a complete sigh of relief. This proved that Xia De didn't care about Elulu at all.
But then again, even she herself...
Despite how close Xia De was to her right now, washing dishes and eating together in an extremely intimate manner...
...she still knew that Xia De didn't have those kinds of feelings for her yet.
After all, only a week had passed. At most, his affection for her had only increased by a tiny, tiny bit.
If her progress could be quantified, Hilia estimated that she was only at about five percent.
Thinking about this, Hilia inexplicably felt a pang of sadness.
And so, in a daze, she was questioned back and forth by Xia De, telling him a lot of information about Toka City.
Though she thoroughly enjoyed it nonetheless!
Hehehe!
Stared at by Xia De, the chibi Hilia in her mind began to drool.
Finally, once Xia De had learned almost everything he needed to know, she suddenly stood up, her shapely body standing perfectly straight.
With her smooth, fair arms hanging at her sides, she had a strange smile on her face, lost in some unknown thoughts.
Meeting Xia De's puzzled gaze, she spoke.
“Since you've decided to leave tomorrow, I'll go help you pack your clothes and stuff.”
Before Xia De could even refuse, she jogged all the way up to the second floor, disappearing from his sight.
Leaving Xia De standing there alone, his mind filled with immense confusion.
Huh?
Oh well, let her do as she pleases. It wasn't like there was anything important in his room anyway.
