Heretics, Here I Come

As the incantation finished, a gate of light manifested before Olivia.

She grabbed Ghostly Dream and stepped directly into the gate.

As for the remaining members of Dreamland Paradise, they had to be left outside for now; trapped within King's Domain, they had no way to escape anyway.

These people were of such low standing that they didn't even qualify to be taken to the church headquarters.

When Olivia appeared at the church headquarters with Ghostly Dream in tow, it naturally caused quite a stir.

Cardinal Charles arrived on the scene immediately.

"This is..." Looking at Ghostly Dream, Charles's face was filled with surprise.

She looked familiar. Had he seen her in some file?

Olivia smiled slightly and said, "Her name is Ghostly Dream, a high-ranking member of Dreamland Paradise. I happened to come across her by chance just now, so I brought her in."

Hearing Olivia's words, Charles was full of questions.

He remembered that Olivia had just returned from God's Ruins, hadn't she? And immediately upon her return, she had captured an Evolver from a hostile transcendent organization.

Since when were Evolvers so easy to catch?

"Olivia, what exactly happened? Don't say it was just luck; that's hard to believe," Charles asked seriously.

Olivia couldn't help but scratch her head.

Her previous explanation was indeed a bit hard to swallow. It seemed she needed a different story.

After a moment's thought, she said, "Actually, it has to do with Dream, whom I dealt with in God's Ruins."

"I learned some things about Ghostly Dream from her. So, as soon as I got back from God's Ruins, I went straight to find her and brought her in."

This explanation sounded much more reasonable.

Charles nodded in agreement.

Olivia had indeed mentioned earlier that she had killed Dream, and that the forbidden artifact she'd obtained from the church, Eternal Dream, had played a crucial role.

Given she possessed that artifact, her claim that she could kill Dream was acceptable, even if it had surprised Charles at the time.

Since Dream had died at Olivia's hands, it was only natural that Olivia would have learned about Ghostly Dream through her.

However, listening from the side, Ghostly Dream felt bitter. How did Dream know my location? And why would she expose me right before she died?

There were many questions she couldn't wrap her head around.

Olivia glanced at Ghostly Dream. "Why do you care so much? If it wasn't for Dream, how would I have known where you were?"

"You thought you were hidden so well that even Dream wouldn't know your location. But did you never stop to think? She was the leader of Dreamland Paradise. Would it really be that hard for her to find you?"

Ghostly Dream fell silent. Thinking it over, she felt that what Olivia said made sense.

Perhaps she really had underestimated how much Dream knew about her.

Afterward, Olivia handed Ghostly Dream over to Charles to be imprisoned.

With this, all the high-ranking members of Dreamland Paradise had been captured. The organization was effectively defunct. Even if some transcendents still existed at certain strongholds, they were merely minor figures who couldn't cause any real trouble.

As Charles led Ghostly Dream away, his heart was filled with complex emotions.

Looking back, Sweet Dream and Nightmare had been captured because of Olivia in the first place.

Without Olivia's ability to control Eternal Dream, Sweet Dream and Nightmare would have been incredibly difficult to catch, given their strong self-preservation abilities while hiding within layers of dreams.

Then Dream was killed by Olivia in God's Ruins, and now Ghostly Dream had just been brought in by her... Dreamland Paradise had truly met its nemesis.

But was Olivia the nemesis of only Dreamland Paradise?

The number of heretical organization members whose locations Olivia knew through the magic mirror was countless.

No matter how well-hidden their strongholds were, they held no secrets from her.

As long as she went there, those heretics were bound to be captured.

So, Olivia planned to thoroughly clean out these heretics next.

Most importantly, some of those heretics had personal grudges with her; she had no reason to let them go.

Olivia then left the church headquarters and returned to 77 Brandy Street in West Sea City.

King's Domain was still trapping several Dreamland Paradise transcendents there.

Although King's Domain had been out of her direct control while she was at the church headquarters, it hadn't reached the point of spiraling out of control in such a short time due to the long-term suppression. It still followed her previous arrangements.

After Olivia returned, she retracted King's Domain.

Then, she caused a small commotion, which soon drew the attention of the West Sea City Security Bureau.

"I am Olivia Melianne of the Radiant Light Church. Bring someone from the West Sea City cathedral here."

When Olivia announced her name, the expressions of everyone who heard her changed instantly.

This was West Sea City, not too far from Kaliron, and Olivia's reputation had spread far and wide in these parts.

No one could ignore her presence.

The Security Bureau personnel withdrew respectfully and immediately went to notify the church. The church members in West Sea City arrived promptly.

The church cathedral in West Sea City was known as West Sea Cathedral. Its head was a transcendent at the Skywalker rank.

Except for special places like Kaliron, where the head of a cathedral might be an Evolver.

Elsewhere, depending on the importance of the location, the head of a cathedral would be either a Skywalker or an even lower-ranked Domainist.

In any case, they wouldn't be an Evolver.

West Sea City was considered an important city, which was why its head was a Skywalker.

"I am Ian Rivers. It is an honor to meet you, My Lady."

Ian, the head of West Sea Cathedral, was a middle-aged man who spoke to Olivia with great respect.
