The girl then told Olivia that she was Sweet Dream.
"Although I am called Sweet Dream, I bring people more than just pleasant dreams; I also know a thing or two about crafting nightmares."
"So, do you intend to bring me a nightmare?" Olivia asked, staring at her opponent.
"Do not harbor such hostility toward me. I am also acting out of necessity. This is all the Radiant Light Church's fault; they have destroyed too much of our hard work."
Sweet Dream's tone was calm, but her words carried a clear enmity toward the Radiant Light Church.
It was precisely because of this enmity that the people of Dreamland Paradise had recently orchestrated these incidents to cause trouble for the Radiant Light Church, and why she had come to attack Olivia, a Protagonist of the Era.
A Protagonist of the Era was certainly formidable, but as a high-level class rank transcendent, she naturally wasn't overly worried.
The suppression of class ranks was not something easily overcome.
Sweet Dream approached step by step, seemingly speaking, but in reality, whirlpools appeared within her eyes, and an invisible attack had already taken effect on Olivia.
It was an attack on the mental level.
Olivia felt Sweet Dream's figure become increasingly illusory, and the world she occupied silently began to dim.
At a certain point, everything before her eyes turned into absolute darkness, as if the entire world consisted of nothing but herself and a void.
The cold and lonely environment made one feel as if they had already died.
This surprised Olivia. she had clearly deployed an enhanced domain to suppress illusions, so why was the surrounding environment changing again?
Was the power of the illusion too strong for her to suppress?
Or was this not an illusion at all?
Under these circumstances, Olivia decisively closed her left eye. When she opened it again, the eye had become a field of crimson, with a strange luster swirling within it.
Subsequently, she saw through the boundless darkness. This was merely an ability Sweet Dream was exerting with all her might, attempting to pull her into the dark and into the murky depths, but Olivia had resisted it all.
Sweet Dream then lunged forward, a shimmering sword in hand, thrusting straight at Olivia.
Facing such a strike, Olivia decisively clenched her right fist and threw a punch forward.
As she threw the punch, her right fist quickly enlarged, becoming larger than her entire body in an instant. Her fist even displayed some rocky textures, making the blow appear even more solid and heavy.
Boom!
The two sides collided heavily. Olivia felt no resistance as her fist smashed forward with unstoppable force.
Instead, Sweet Dream was greatly surprised. At the moment of impact, she evaded and retreated a considerable distance, looking at Olivia with suspicion and uncertainty.
Was this really a Skywalker, a mid-level class rank transcendent?
How could a Skywalker be so ridiculous?
She knew the other party was a Protagonist of the Era, but even for one, this was far too heaven-defying.
Sweet Dream's eyes flickered, and she turned to leave the area.
Although Olivia's performance was incredible, Sweet Dream was confident that in a place without interference, she, as an Evolver, could still defeat her.
But this was outside the city of Kaliron. Even a slightly larger commotion from the battle would attract attention, and the brief exchange just now might have already been noticed.
Therefore, she had to leave. If she couldn't resolve Olivia quickly, the people from the Radiant Light Church would surely arrive, and she would be the one in a disadvantageous position.
As Sweet Dream departed, the illusions before Olivia's eyes quickly faded until they vanished.
She stood outside the city of Kaliron once more. The clergymen who had been following her were all unconscious on the ground, and the surroundings were silent.
At that moment, a figure flew rapidly from a distance and landed beside Olivia.
"What happened?" the newcomer asked with a hint of concern.
The person appearing beside Olivia was none other than Ivy.
She had sensed the fluctuations here immediately and rushed over, but it seemed she had arrived a bit late.
"It was Sweet Dream from Dreamland Paradise," Olivia told Ivy, explaining what had just occurred.
Her explanation caused a slight look of surprise to appear in Ivy's eyes.
Even Ivy hadn't expected Olivia to be able to remain so composed when facing an Evolver.
A Skywalker facing an Evolver was entirely different from a Domainist facing a Skywalker.
The latter were both mid-level class rank transcendents, but the former was the difference between a mid-level and a high-level class rank transcendent.
Regardless, after understanding the situation, Ivy said to Olivia, "The people of Dreamland Paradise are becoming increasingly audacious. Under these circumstances, it's best if you stay in the cathedral, as you are a likely target for them."
"If they can't find me, they'll target other clergymen and cause trouble," Olivia said with a frown.
Ivy spoke slowly, "I know, but these fellows can traverse through dreams, making them difficult to catch. We have to think of another way to deal with them.
"Actually, I have a concept in mind, but I'll likely need your help."
Olivia asked curiously, "What do I need to do?"
"Let's head back first, to the church headquarters. We can talk as we go." Ivy turned and flew toward Kaliron.
While one could enter the church headquarters from anywhere as long as there was a statue of the Radiant Goddess, the clergymen preferred to return to a cathedral to enter.
After all, one exited at the same location they entered. If they entered the church headquarters from the wilderness, who knew what the environment would be like when they came out.
On the way back, Ivy shared her idea with Olivia.
She told Olivia that within the church, there was an uncontrolled rule-grade forbidden artifact called the Eternal Dream.
No one had been able to utilize this forbidden artifact because a method to use it couldn't be found. Thus, it was kept deep within the church headquarters to prevent it from affecting others.
However, she felt that if it were Olivia, she might be able to use it—whether due to Olivia's own uniqueness or the Contract of the Gods, she should be able to achieve this.
This forbidden artifact had a specific trait: the location where it exists can only sustain a single layer of dream.
In other words, once a layer of dream was established using this forbidden artifact, all Dreamwalkers would no longer be able to create dreams.
This was a natural counter to Dreamland Paradise!
