Back at her home at 88 Annus Street, Olivia sat in a chair in her room, feeling the breeze blowing from the balcony, and silently communicated with the magic mirror in her heart.
She was learning about her opponents' situations.
As one of the three official organizations of the Varian Empire, the Nature Sect had its own unique transcendent paths: the Druid and the Verdant Warden.
Olivia had previously dealt with a Druid within the Rose Legion who was a transcendent who had betrayed the Nature Sect and fled the Varian Empire.
A Druid's abilities basically consisted of transforming into various magical creatures, possessing a rather wild fighting style.
As for the Verdant Warden, they possessed the ability to control plants and were better at long-range combat, with relatively straightforward methods.
The Earth Church similarly possessed two transcendent paths: the Fortifier and the Great Strength Vanguard.
Fortifiers specialized in defensive measures, somewhat similar to Shield Guards but completely different in nature.
The difference was roughly like the distinction between an Ascetic and an Arbiter.
The number of Fortifier in the Earth Church was relatively small; most members were Great Strength Vanguard.
Due to the empowerment of their abilities, every Great Strength Vanguard possessed immense physical power.
A single punch or kick landing on an enemy was enough to shatter them on the spot; their force was terrifying.
If the opponent was a Great Strength Vanguard, the best way to fight was to maintain a certain distance and avoid being hit.
The Tower of Stars likewise possessed two unique transcendent paths.
These two paths were the Diviner and the Enchanter.
Olivia was no stranger to Diviners.
There had also been a Diviner in the Rose Legion named Gaston, who had reached the Domainist class rank and possessed exceptional strength, but she had still dealt with him using her various forbidden artifacts.
As for the Enchanter, this was a rather troublesome transcendent path.
They could enchant themselves or external objects, granting them temporary abilities.
For example, by enchanting a tree and granting it spirituality, that tree might briefly come to life, becoming a treant and fighting according to the Enchanter's commands.
As the largest and most powerful empire, the three official organizations of the Varian Empire all played vital roles, and the transcendent paths they mastered were naturally not simple.
However, the Moriah Empire was also quite extraordinary.
There was a reason they could be one of the three great empires without having as many official organizations.
The Moriah family itself possessed various methods that were enough to make people wary.
The transcendent path they mastered was called the Fate Walker, claiming to be able to grasp fate and know which path to take in the future.
This transcendent path alone was enough to let them stand proud as one of the three great empires, which showed its significance.
But was the Fate Walkers' grasp of fate as precise as the magic mirror's?
Did they perceive as much through fate as the magic mirror could?
To anyone else, the Fate Walker would certainly be the most headache-inducing of these transcendent paths to face.
But to Olivia, the Fate Walker might be the easiest to deal with.
"This is what it feels like to have a cheat code,"
Olivia couldn't help but sigh.
She then rose from her chair and went to the training room in her home to begin practicing her abilities.
...
In the blink of an eye, three days passed.
Inside the training room.
Olivia held Cross Grace, blooming in various positions throughout the room like a fluttering butterfly.
She constantly swung her weapon, slashing in all directions with light and agile movements, every action exceptionally fluid.
She moved forward then backward, like a butterfly weaving through a sea of flowers, her magnificent movements concealing a startling killing intent.
Various abilities were integrated into her attacks, and no one could tell which swing of her weapon was the moment of her strongest assault.
Suddenly, she paused, gripping Cross Grace with both hands and leaping lightly into the air to slash the weapon vertically forward.
In the next moment, a crescent-shaped, bluish-gray sword qi was unleashed, flying out rapidly and striking the wall of the training room, causing the entire wall to vibrate violently.
There were naturally barriers set up in the training room to ensure the practice wouldn't cause too much damage, but it was enough for Olivia to judge the approximate power of the bluish-gray sword qi.
"I have finally fully mastered the Blade of Cleansing. Its power seems decent, but strictly speaking, it isn't much stronger than the Wrathful Slash."
Olivia whispered her assessment of the attack's power.
Under normal circumstances, the power of the Blade of Cleansing was still higher than that of the Wrathful Slash, but the Wrathful Slash could use one's own anger to increase its lethality.
In that situation, the Blade of Cleansing might not necessarily be stronger than the Wrathful Slash.
Of course, this did not mean that the Blade of Cleansing, an ability that required becoming a Transcender to master, was inferior to the Wrathful Slash; rather, the Blade of Cleansing had more specific targeted effects.
For instance, if the target of the attack was the undead, the Blade of Cleansing could deal double or even triple damage.
At that time, its power would be far beyond what the Wrathful Slash could compare to.
The Blade of Cleansing possessed effects like dispelling and purification, making it a targeted technique.
After mastering this ability, the only ability of the Transcender class rank that Olivia had not yet mastered was miniaturization.
Over time, Olivia had gained some clues on how to master miniaturization.
However, it would still take some time to truly master that miraculous ability.
"It should be about time, shouldn't it?"
Olivia whispered and walked out of the training room, first going to the bathroom to take off her clothes and relax with a bath.
Afterward, she changed and put on her nun's habit.
Just as she finished dressing, the sound of the doorbell came from the entrance, which didn't surprise her at all.
She went downstairs and opened the door to find a stranger, a nun, standing outside.
"Sister Olivia, I am Thea Vincent from the Morning Light Cathedral. Sister Sybil sent me to find you. She asked me to tell you that the time has come and to please arrive at the Morning Light Cathedral before dark."
It was currently afternoon, and there was still some time before nightfall.
Olivia smiled slightly and said, "Go back and tell Sister Sybil that I will arrive on time."
Thea said no more, turned, and left.
Olivia had already learned through the magic mirror that today was the day of the probing battle between the Radiant Light Church and the forces of the other two empires.
And the exact time would be after nightfall.
It was time to take action on behalf of the Radiant Light Church.
