Not long after, Olivia returned to Annus Street.
After returning, she was in no hurry to set out. Instead, she took a good rest at home until night arrived and the crimson moon floated to the zenith of the night sky, only then heading out from her home.
Of course, before heading out, she also did some simple disguising, putting on a pitch-black cloak and wearing a mask.
She did not go to the underground black market as Ruth Ascar, her previous identity, but instead went under a completely new one.
The streets were very desolate.
This likely had to do with more and more people arriving in Kaliron lately and having already caused some incidents.
The occasional chaos and even battles would inevitably bring a sense of insecurity to people, which naturally led the residents of Annus Street to be unwilling to go out after dark to avoid any accidents.
Not long after leaving home, Olivia arrived at Mangrove Park. This park, which was incredibly lively during the day, inevitably became cold and quiet at night.
The night wind carried strands of chill, blowing through the treetops and making them shake constantly, with the sound of rustling coming from time to time.
There was an artificial lake in Mangrove Park, and as the crimson moon shone upon it, the water reflected a blood-red hue, giving the ripples on the surface an eerie feeling.
Who would have thought that the entrance to the underground black market was here?
Olivia walked straight into the lake water and swam toward the very bottom, just as she had done last time.
She then passed through something similar to a membrane and entered an underground passage.
As she passed through that layer of membrane, the traces of her clothes being wet by the lake water quickly disappeared, and her clothes became dry once again.
The underground black market was shrouded in a massive barrier, so even with the King's Domain, she couldn't teleport directly inside; she had to enter through this conventional route.
Once inside, Olivia delved into the passage with practiced ease, gradually arriving at the interior of the underground black market.
A wave of clamor rushed toward her as she arrived.
The underground black market was as lively as ever, and even more so than usual because of the increasing number of people arriving in Kaliron recently.
Person after person could be seen, either hiding themselves completely or facing everyone openly.
They were either setting up stalls to sell various items related to the transcendent or walking past stall after stall, picking out things they wanted.
However, when conducting transactions in a place like the underground black market, whether one could buy the correct items depended entirely on one's own discernment, as being deceived was highly likely.
Olivia was not here to buy things, so she merely let her gaze sweep over the surroundings before walking straight toward the deeper parts of the underground black market, arriving before an iron gate.
"Stop, this isn't a place just anyone can enter."
Two people from the underground black market stood there guarding the iron gate. Seeing Olivia approach, they immediately moved to drive her away.
"Tell Mr. Mangrove that an old friend has come to find him."
Olivia spoke calmly and unhurriedly, and this was also the code the church used when looking for Curtis.
Hearing Olivia say this, the two guards glanced at each other. Then, one of them pushed open the iron gate and entered, while the other remained outside on guard.
"Someone has gone to inform Mr. Mangrove. Wait here for a moment."
Olivia smiled without saying anything.
She just stood at the entrance waiting, and the wait did not last very long.
After a while, the person who had gone inside to report came back out with a bit of a scrutinizing gaze. He looked at Olivia and said, "Mr. Mangrove has invited you in."
Only then did Olivia enter through the iron gate.
The area behind the iron gate was clearly not somewhere just anyone could enter; only internal personnel of the underground black market could come to such a place.
On both sides of the narrow and long passage were many doors, and it was unknown what was inside each room.
It wasn't until Olivia casually asked the magic mirror in her heart that she learned those places were filled with various spiritual materials and lounges for internal personnel to rest.
Gradually, Olivia arrived before a door at the end of the hall.
After bringing Olivia here, the guide left, gesturing for Olivia to enter by herself before departing.
Looking at the door in front of her, Olivia hadn't even started to knock when the door opened automatically, and a slightly aged voice came from inside at the same time.
"Come in."
This was the voice of Mr. Mangrove, which was to say, Curtis's voice.
This controller of the underground black market was actually quite old.
Olivia walked straight into the room and swept her gaze around, finding two people there.
One was an old man with a white beard and hair, sitting behind a desk. A cup of coffee sat on the desk in front of him; it was unknown how long it had been there, but the coffee was still inside, though it appeared cold.
There was also another person, who looked like a young man, sitting in a chair not far away with a cold expression, sizing Olivia up with a probing gaze.
Seeing Olivia's arrival, Curtis asked unhurriedly, "How should I address you?"
Olivia smiled slightly but did not answer. Instead, she asked, "Isn't there one person too many?"
Curtis understood Olivia's meaning and explained, "He is my deputy, Bruno Marshall, and also one of the church's people, so there's no need to avoid him."
"I see. I won't go into details verbally. Mr. Curtis, if you look at this document, you'll understand what's going on."
Olivia took out Ivy's appointment document, placed it on the desk, and pushed it toward Curtis.
Seeing this, Curtis said nothing more, picked up the document, opened it, and began reading it unhurriedly.
As for Bruno on the side, he spoke up at this time, "You still haven't said how to address you, lady."
"Olivia Melianne," Olivia replied simply.
"Olivia? I haven't heard this name in the church. Your class rank probably isn't very high, is it?" Bruno thought for a moment and asked.
Olivia found it somewhat amusing as she listened. "Mr. Bruno, you've been outside with Mr. Curtis all this time, so it's normal that you don't understand the current situation of the church in the South District. There's no need to make such a decisive judgment."
"Since you say that, your class rank must be quite high. I wonder what your class rank is, lady?" Bruno asked.
"Transcender." Olivia had no need to hide this.
"That is indeed not low. I didn't expect the church to produce another talent."
Bruno's expression became a bit more serious.
No matter how one looked at it, a Transcender was already a mid-level class rank transcendent. A transcendent of this level could not be easily ignored.
