He was unwilling, of course. How could he possibly be resigned to this?
Since arriving in the Imperial Capital of Kaliron, he hadn't even begun his plans before someone unexpectedly barged in to kill him; now that he was on the brink of death, how could he find peace?
At the very least, he wanted to know exactly who his killer was.
After she displayed powers that clearly didn't belong to an elemental mage, he was no longer sure if this lady had any connection to that Stella.
But Olivia, naturally, offered no answer to his inquiry.
At this moment, he lacked the strength to use his diviner abilities to divine her identity.
"Slash!"
Olivia drew her sword and, with another strike, lopped off the diviner's head completely.
Having dealt with her opponent, Olivia finally exhaled.
A domainist—this was a domainist.
The fact that she could now slay a domainist proved she had taken a massive stride forward on the path of the transcendent.
Once she relaxed, Olivia quickly handled the situation, using King's Domain to restore the inn she had shifted elsewhere back to its original location.
Meanwhile, on the street outside, the people who had fled the inn were still gossiping, completely unaware of the shocking events that had transpired inside in such a short time.
Olivia silently deactivated the barrier and departed.
After returning to her home at 88 Annus Street, she consulted the magic mirror and confirmed that her identity faced no immediate threats in the short term.
Olivia's next task was to set the church against the Rose Legion.
As for the best way to do it, the magic mirror had already provided a complete plan.
This plan involved the royal family's third prince.
According to the mirror, this third prince had recently been acquiring various forbidden artifacts.
While dangerous, forbidden artifacts were highly functional; for a transcendent organization, the more, the better.
Thus, the third prince took the matter very seriously and would soon personally participate in a transaction for these artifacts.
Naturally, even the third prince worried about the seller's intentions, as anyone possessing a large number of forbidden artifacts was clearly not to be trifled with.
In fact, the seller of these forbidden artifacts had a remarkable background as well.
They belonged to an organization called the Time Chamber of Commerce.
This was undoubtedly another transcendent organization with a massive sphere of influence spanning the entire continent.
They were primarily merchants, but unlike ordinary traders, they possessed powerful transcendent means.
Furthermore, they held significant control over ancient ruins, which was why they owned and could even sell forbidden artifacts.
For this deal with the Time Chamber of Commerce, the third prince would bring many members of the Rose Legion along to ensure security.
As for who would participate, the third prince had already commissioned a list, but Olivia was not on it.
Since her true identity was an undercover agent in the church, he obviously couldn't have her accompany them.
As for her identity as Stella, she hadn't been selected because she had only recently joined the Rose Legion, despite appearing reliable.
However, Olivia didn't need to be chosen; she only needed to know when the transaction would take place so she could inform the church and let them wipe out the Rose Legion's contingent in one fell swoop.
Over the next few days, Olivia frequently interacted with certain members of the Rose Legion, seemingly just to get acquainted.
In reality, the people she contacted were those on the third prince's list.
They naturally wouldn't tell her about the third prince's deal, but that didn't matter.
As long as she had interacted with the relevant personnel, she would have a sufficient reason to tell the church that her information came from one of them, and that person would be unable to defend themselves.
Olivia would kill them at the appropriate time, leaving no witness to dispute her claim.
That day soon arrived.
......
Daylight Cathedral.
Olivia arrived and went straight to Ivy Lancaster, the person in charge.
Within the vast cathedral, the light was hazy, lending a sense of hallucination to the air.
Ivy stood there, her expression devoid of joy or sorrow, looking as if she spent every waking hour in prayer.
Seeing Olivia's arrival, Ivy asked directly, "What is it this time?"
Olivia looked serious as she said, "I've discovered important information. I can confirm the Rose Legion has ties to the royal family—specifically the third prince."
Upon hearing this, Ivy snapped her head up and looked at Olivia with surprise.
She remembered Olivia saying not long ago that it was difficult to detect a link between the Rose Legion and the royal family. Ivy had even comforted her then, saying it was a long-term matter and not to rush.
And yet, in the blink of an eye, Olivia was back telling her she'd found a lead?
After her initial surprise, Ivy's expression turned grave. "Give me the details," she commanded.
Olivia didn't hold back, presenting the explanation she had already prepared.
Her report sent a massive shock through Ivy.
The Rose Legion was acquiring forbidden artifacts and doing so from the Time Chamber of Commerce, the world's premier trading organization. What were they planning?
Forbidden artifacts were never benign; they were almost always accompanied by bloodshed. Acquiring them in bulk inevitably suggested something sinister.
Ivy knew this matter required the utmost attention.
Olivia had already given her the location: the harbor in the East District of Kaliron.
"I understand the situation. I will arrange personnel immediately—no, I will report this to headquarters at once and have them send people to handle it."
"As for you, continue playing your part and do not place yourself in danger."
Olivia nodded naturally at Ivy's instructions.
Olivia wouldn't need to act in the events to come. After leaving Daylight Cathedral, she returned to 88 Annus Street, changed into her Stella attire, and teleported to Jasmine Street in the Main District, inside the Elijah Chamber of Commerce.
She intended to watch the live broadcast in a unique way.
