"One can only fly up with a pious heart?"
Wasn't she doomed then?
Julia smiled slightly, then turned around and flew up toward the sky just like that.
Olivia felt the pressure.
Although she leaned toward the church, her faith—well, it wasn't that she wasn't pious, but her status as a transmigrator naturally made her less likely to worship anyone too intensely, even in a world with gods.
After thinking for a moment, Olivia could only mutter silently in her heart.
'Praise the Radiant Goddess. My heart belongs to the light. In life, I am a member of the Radiant Light Church; in death, I am a ghost of the Radiant Light Church...'
Olivia kept chanting this in her heart, not knowing if it would actually work, her heart pounding with anxiety.
She hadn't expected this part before coming here; she should have asked the magic mirror first.
Right, the magic mirror!
'Magic mirror, magic mirror, I know you don't have information on the church headquarters, but based on what you do know, do you know how to make someone fly at the church headquarters?'
【Pick a flower and you can fly.】
Question marks immediately appeared over Olivia's head.
She looked up at Julia. Julia, who had already flown a distance, looked back with a half-smile, and Olivia couldn't help but feel a hint of teasing in Julia's eyes.
She felt like she had been played...
Olivia simply bent down and picked a flower. Immediately, she felt a strange power surround her, making her body feel weightless.
She could even control this strange power, and it instantly lifted her toward the sky, allowing her to catch up to Julia quickly.
Seeing this, a look of surprise flashed in Julia's eyes: "It seems you are not entirely ignorant of the church headquarters."
Olivia blinked: "I felt it. Those flowers carry the brilliance of the Goddess. So I wanted to pick one to feel her brilliance, only to find that I could seemingly use this power to fly."
Julia laughed: "Fine, I'll take it at that."
She didn't press further; her previous action was just a little teasing.
"Follow me."
She led the way, pointing toward the nearest floating island in the sky.
......
Before long, Olivia followed Julia to the floating island.
At close range, she could better feel the atmosphere permeating the floating island. Each building radiated a holy glow, grand and ancient.
Clergy members moved to and fro, and occasionally someone would greet Julia when they saw her.
Julia gestured for Olivia to follow and led her into a nearby building.
The interior of the building was very spacious. The floor was covered with large patches of Sylvan Runes, forming unique patterns.
Olivia had seen something similar before: the altar used by the Twilight Council to summon the will of an evil god. Of course, the content of the Sylvan Runes inscribed by both sides was vastly different.
"Is this... teleportation?" Olivia asked thoughtfully.
Julia said with a smile, "Correct. The place we're going is another floating island."
Olivia understood.
It seemed people entering the church headquarters would all appear in the same place. As for where to go next, they had to use teleportation from the nearest floating island.
Julia spoke in Sylvan Runes: "To Island 37."
As soon as she finished, the Sylvan Runes on the ground instantly glowed brightly.
Then, Olivia felt a sense of weightlessness, and her vision blurred for a moment.
When her sight cleared, she found herself inside another building.
Though it was still a spacious interior filled with Sylvan Runes, the structure was fundamentally different from the previous building, and the number of runes on the floor was significantly reduced.
"We're here."
Julia said as she walked out of the building.
Olivia followed quickly.
Stepping out, she realized this floating island was much smaller than the previous one. She could easily see past the edge to the endless sea of flowers below.
On this island, there were no other buildings besides the one they just exited.
The island was empty, with a stone-paved path, feeling quite serene.
In the distance on that quiet ground, a figure was clearly visible.
Olivia's gaze fell upon this figure.
Undoubtedly, it was Rose.
At this moment, Rose no longer had the eerie condition of being covered in eyes like when she was captured by Dreamland Paradise. She had returned to the appearance of a little girl.
She had changed from the feeling of a girl next door into that of a frightening witch.
Olivia couldn't help but walk forward, but after only a few steps, she felt an invisible wall blocking her.
"This is a barrier," Julia said as she walked over. "The person inside cannot come out, and those outside cannot go in, but you can see and hear each other."
Hearing this, Olivia called out to Rose: "Rose, can you hear me?"
There was no movement from Rose's side.
Julia sighed and said, "She has been like this since we brought her back. No matter how we speak to her, she doesn't respond.
"She only reacts when someone gets close, but that reaction is more like a form of self-protection that blasts people away.
"Currently, I have formed a research group within the church specifically to study Rose's condition. Hopefully, we will have some findings after some time."
Seeing that Rose was completely ignoring her, there wasn't much Olivia could say.
She sighed and said to Julia, "If she responds, please let me know. I'm counting on you."
"Of course," Julia nodded.
Olivia looked at Rose and reflexively touched her left eye. She felt deeply grateful toward Rose and naturally hoped she would be safe.
After all... since this eye could suppress the King's Domain, it could surely suppress more than just that.
She had a premonition that on her future path as a transcendent, this eye would definitely be of great help!
